Peak National Dysfunction

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

No need to argue anymore about defunding the police. The police across America have been successfully disarmed and castrated. Why would any cop with a sense of self-preservation interfere in the commission of a crime now? Just assume that the social contract is cancelled. You’re on your own.

Interesting factoids, by the way: rape reports are up 322 percent in New York City over the past year, shootings were up 97 percent and murders up 44 percent — a good start to the new era of all-against-all, where life is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short. But don’t worry, Benjamin Crump and the legion of super-hero personal injury lawyers stand ready to enforce the suspension of law, seeking multi-million-dollar payouts in civil suits, such as the $27-million recently settled on the family of George Floyd, which is $27-million more than Jesus of Nazareth got for somewhat harsher treatment years back, though, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, George Floyd has by far outpaced the old lord-and-savior in sheer saintliness mojo. Looks like George and Jesus will soon be vying for Speaker of Kingdom Come in the new, revised cosmos of American Wokery.

Anyway, New York’s City Council voted last month to end qualified immunity for police officers, which formerly shielded them from personal lawsuits in the performance of their duties. Predictable result: they will no longer perform their duties. This is on top of Mayor Bill de Blasio ending the age-old practice of posting bail for charged felons pending disposition of a criminal case. Meanwhile, the city’s main jail, Rikers Island, is scheduled to be closed down in 2026. Abolish incarceration! Well done, Big Apple!

For the moment, Derek Chauvin is on ice, having served his purpose as sacrificial goat in a trial that had all the fateful velocity of the Chattanooga Choo-choo. No need to rehearse the prejudicial actions of Rep Maxine Waters (D-Calif), oval office occupant Joe Biden, sidekick Kamala Harris, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune newspaper, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison, and other workers on the railroad of justice. The case will surely go into appeal and by the time it is finally adjudicated the old USA will be on ice, too — in the mortuary of lost civilizations.

Minneapolis police officer Kim Potter is teed-up next in the death of multiple felony suspect Daunte Wright, who was turning his life around  when he made the split-second decision to evade arrest on an outstanding warrant for gun possession. And on deck: Columbus, Ohio, police officer Nicholas Reardon, who (it’s said all over Twitter and cable TV) unfairly interfered in a knife attack between a couple of girls just going about normal teenage girl stuff in their normal, playful way.

Critical Race Theory, and its enforcement arm, Systemic Racism, have got America in a full nelson, having put over the idea that any regulation of behavior among 13 percent of the US population is a crime against humanity — effectively rendering lawlessness a new social entitlement. Waiting to see how that works out as 2021 rolls forward. The weather didn’t cooperate much this week of the aforesaid events, so there was little action in the streets after the Chauvin verdict and all — except in Portland, Oregon, city of masochists, where the nightly riots continued as usual.

Is there a problem with all this? Only that the remaining 87 percent of the folks who live in the USA have so far failed to identify these operations for what they are, an epic hustle — by which I mean the seeking and acquiring of advantage, including large sums of money, by underhanded means. Sorry to tell you: the responsibility for this is on the 87 percent who are craven and feckless enough to allow themselves to be hustled. What’s the payoff for them in this game? A sense of radiant, self-informed moral purity for consenting to be coerced by the hustlers. The endorphin rush must really be something, a little like a snootful of fentanyl-and-meth.

Notice, too, how all this racial psychodrama is an effective smokescreen for other nefarious actions afoot by the Democratic Party. I refer to the various bills moving through Congress now to pack the Supreme Court, turn the District of Columbia into the 51st state (to gain two more senate seats), and to institutionalize voting fraud across all the states (HR-1). Not paying any attention to that? It’s just a gang of power-hungry maniacs trying to destroy your country. That is, unless Joe Biden & Co, manage to start World War Three in Ukraine or Taiwan before that bidness comes to vote. Oh, and here’s the moral of the story: life is tragic. Sometimes things don’t turn out… they just turn.

I never offered a ‘solution’ and if I had posted a couple scriptural references along with the observation you would have gotten ur knickers all knotted up and wailed that I was going off on God this and God that. God God God satan satan satan… likely popped a blood vessel.

Whats funny is you accuse Stephany as being a moth drawn to a flame whenever someone mentions boomer. Someone mentions God or even satan and you seem compelled to toss in a few quips. Who’s the moth?!?!?

“Someone mentions God or even satan and you seem compelled to toss in a few quips. Who’s the moth?!?!?”

I generally like you, really. But, I do not like you when you turn into an exaggerating bag of donkey shit. It is unseemly.

I rarely comment on people’s religious postings. And when I do it is generally only to regular TPBers who make a lot of religious posts. For example; ordo, but I now only rarely address his religious stuff — and GCP, but I’ve pretty much stopped — and Edwitness, can’t remember last time I challenged his religious views — and mark, who hates my guts so I stopped, and of course … you.

Now, I addressed you because you do, in fact, talk about Satan, prince of this world, etc. quite often. I was hoping my two simple observations would have generated an answer from you that shed some light! Instead, it is YOU who often gets butt-hurt at ANYTHING I say about religion. haha Who is the moth, indeed?

If I commented as often on religious commentary made by TBPers as you indicate …. it would take another 100 posts every single day! I would say a conservative estimate of TBPers is that HALF of them are Christians! Who has time and/or energy to comment on every Jesus/Satan post?? Sure as hell ain’t me!

I mean just moments ago someone made a political comment on the “Deagle” thread but, then in closing, I guess they just had to add —> “for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him until that day”. —- Other than an eye-roll and the shaking of my head, I said nothing. Just. Don’t. Care! Or, take Uncola’s Jesus-pictures thread … out of 116 comments only 6 were mine and only ONE of them pertained to the question! (Four others pertained to me busting your balls over Koine Greek.)

You see, I really don’t give that much of a Rat’s Ass anymore. The daily reductionist argument in the blaming of Satan for all the shit going in this world, and the concomitant insistence that Jesus will magically intervene is an intellectual battle that truly doesn’t interest me all that much … at all.

In closing, if you reply I probably won’t see it … at least not today, as I’m probably done. It’s the first gorgeous day we’ve had in several weeks, and the yard needs much attention. Not to mention that I tire of scrolling past 700+ FF posts …. I’m getting an ugly blister on my scrolling finger. That, too, is unseemly.

Step 1: Demoralize/defund local police
Step 2: Let criminals out of prison/no bail required
Step 3: Purge military of the non-woke
Step 4: Usher in national police force backed up by military to combat “resultant crime wave” but use it to round up non-vaxers, freedom loving patriots and otherwise deplorable individuals. Whose gonna stop them?

At one point in this audio, Dmitry says he believes those with the best chance of surviving are those with a little bit of land outside the peripheral vision of urban centers. He says the rural poor have had the necessary practice at being poor to survive the shortages that are sure to occur with the upcoming redistribution of wealth we will see very soon, in his opinion.

The necessary practice at being poor. LOL…

He’s not far wrong… Those that will suffer the most will be those that live paycheck to paycheck… or in this case stimi to stimi…

Those that have learned to live simple, will suffer the least. Some may not even realize they are supposed to be suffering only because they are not consumption minded.

Those that will suffer most are the civil servants (school principals, dmv workers, tax office clerks and so forth). They will report to their jobs not knowing anything better to do. Will most likely be at their desk when the mobs come through the door, and go down not realizing what is happening and thinking they are loved by everyone.
Talk to any of them, and I have family members, they don’t have a clue no matter what one tries to tell them.

In the discussion, Orlov mentioned that in rural areas, public servants did continue to perform their jobs and people paid with bartered items if the service provided was essential.

The Soviets actually put in quite a good electric grid which is less susceptible to disruption than ours. They also don’t have idiotic environmentalist nuts like we have wanting to suck all the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. If they did, they are dead.

New York’s City Council voted last month to end qualified immunity for police officers, which formerly shielded them from personal lawsuits in the performance of their duties.

Finally NYC gets something right. It is the trifecta of qualified immunity, cop unions and officer safety that allow them to enforce corporate law, theft, abuse, ability to lie, and slavery. Very seldomly are they held to account for their deeds, they should not be above the law.

Some red meat from Gore Vidal: “There is something about the state putting the power to bully into the hands of subnormal, sadistic apes that makes my blood boil”.

Back in the Mid-90s when Minneapolis was known as “Murderapolis” the local Lib Rag the Star and Sickle had a pull out section in the Sunday paper with a map of all 97 killings that year and where they occurred. And who the victims/perps (if perps were known)were.
Lo and Behold!!!!!
The majority of the killings were gang related and retaliatory killings. The then black mayor blamed crack.

The murder rate for this same city that is home to the Sacred Site of the Crucifixion of Floyd in Year One of our lord George Floyd was up 70% from 2019. 82 homicides in 2020 vs 48 in 2019.

This is the same city that call for the defunding of the police in 2020, that was supported by the city council.

I say let the police back off some more and let Nature do its thing.

Well I assumed that the social contract is cancelled after Snowden, and the non-actions thereafter.

I slowly realized I’m on my own against the state – as no judiciary, press, institutions, thinkers & philosophers, human rights organizations etc., nor the church will come to my aid to defend against overreach by the government.

It became the moment it first dawned on me Western ‘civilization’ [enlightenment, humanism, individualism] is finished and on its deathbed. It’s getting clearer by the day now my analysis is correct.

Thanks, JK.

Always ask yourself the counter-question.
In this case, “are non-intellectuals not riddled with cognitive dissonance?”
And it immediately makes your statement quite pointless, except maybe that intellectuals should be better in that than non-intellectuals… which however is not a new idea.

The adage “do not attribute evil when stupidity will suffice” is obsolete for these times. While the people who vote appear to be stupid, the people making these anti-policing policies are not. My guess is the newly minted replacement police will resemble brownshirts and they will have all their powers and privilege’s restored.
