It’s accepted that it’s only 9 (missed) meals to anarchy.

Asians eat them a lot less than they used to. This is only really a practice in places that have had starvation. People don’t CHOOSE to eat bugs unless there is nothing else.
I can’t imagine the heavy metals and other toxins they’ve bioaccumulated in the soil the last 17 years.

OK Fine! But is it OK if I first freeze dry and then process into a flour-like powder before consuming? Stirred into coffee or tea would be a good way to hide this (food?). I’ll stick to eating my neighbor’s drop kick dogs over this after four days without food.

8th grade biology class , Teacher brought in grasshoppers (lightly toasted) on Ritz crackers and some ants with some additive. He probably got them in his back yard. Not bad: crunchy and nutty .When the chickens all got loose and ate lots of grasshoppers the eggs were incredible.One of my kids eats sand fleas at the beach. Mostly for effect , I think. He says they are salty and might be like ceviche if you had chili and lime.
Having said all that, the idea of any of these things as an industrial food product is majorly revolting.
Sure you can eat them as they are a protein. However, the energy exerted to catch enough to be plus calories is about negligible.
We survived on an assortment of critters and foliage during SERE, but that is absolutely about survival. To actually thrive on that type of diet you would still need to farm the amount of insects needed to survive without a calorie deficit.
Fatty fish, beef, and other high calorie nutrients are what get you to survive and thrive. You are what you eat. I guess we know what silly Billy thinks of the plebs.

P.S. I can survive and thrive on any animal protein. Willing to try eating the hearts of my non-vaxed enemies too. And drinking mead from their skulls. Blood for the blood god.
