I understand that you have to be careful about what kind of harm you inflict on somebody attacking you, even in your own establishment, that it has to be proportionate, but that was some of the most ineffectual fisticuffs by those Asian men I’ve ever seen. I always recommend using the cleanest self defense tools possible.
There must be evidence of a ‘crime’ before one can look for a perpetrator.
And self defense is a de-facto crime in our society.
“No body, no crime” is still a solid rule, despite some convictions belying this.
And ‘no crime, no charges’ is it’s corollary rule.
If the result of the crime is located away from the actual area of incidence, solution of the crime becomes infinitely more difficult.
