I think Mossberg makes a 590 trench gun with a bayonet lug today. The shotguns do not use the same bayonet as any current or recent weapon. They use the bayonet for the M1917 rifle used by the majority of US troops in WW1. This was the British P-14 that was being made in the US for Britain and was simply made with a 30-’06 barrel and different bolt face for our army when we entered WW1 and could not provide 1903 Springfields in sufficient quantities. The Marines got the Springfields and the Army got the M1917. Both were excellent. You can really launch M2 Ball with the 26″ barrel in the M1917.
I’ve a Mossberg 930 SPX. I call it the “homeywrecker”. 7 in the tube, 1 in the chamber, 2 3/4 inch shells, 00 buckshot. Imagine 72, .32 caliber rounds being launched in less than 3 seconds. It’s awesome.

That is not a culture, the number of union members world wide are quite small no matter what color they are . Most of what could be called culture is found in the East.

If the analysis if Office Space is implied to represent the whole of the general nature of white men, it is completely wrong by omission. Maybe it was a fair enough account of white American men in the early 20th century, but not this century. He’s not right enough IMO. We hope that sort of white dignity still obtains, but how many more brothers who went to war alone at the bottom are abandoned to the system as psychopaths? The victors of a hypothetical successful revolution, if you know what I mean, should gather the early freedom fighters still living and provide them a government pensions and acclaim. Life is a sausage factory not a garden contaminated by sin.

It takes me back to the olden golden days when I worked at Boeing before I filed charges against them at the National Labor Review Board office in Tulsa three days before they suspended me.
Whomever is in charge of Boeing is in charge of most aircraft-related military bases you must realize. Worldwide.
After I won my case, got backpaid and got into a big argument with my next employer (Northrup, then Robbins-Gioia (now RG), then ARINC, then Plexus … I felt like I was working the back corner at Tinker AFB) I grasped that every single one of my corporate managers were idiots in the field of work they were in. They might have been excellent at micromanaging battlefield material and personnel but they hadn’t a clue about what changes an airplane from being grounded to being fully operational.
They also did not care. They had a schedule and they intended to see it followed.
I realize (now, with 2020 hindsight*) I was also limited in experience in more than one of those positions into which I was hired, but I was a good listener. On many occasions I was tasked with documenting meetings between our corporate management and our government overlords. If anyone needed to find out what had been said, all they had to do was ask me and I would read it back like any good stenographer of my background could do. Damage to my thumbs and the onset of arthritis limits my ability to listen and write without thinking, but for a short time I can still do it.
I was hired as an editor and had all the requisite skills and education. I also had a background in the subject matter, which was military technical training material provided under contract by Boeing. Skip my story; what is vital to understand is that when I was on active duty, I was also involved in writing, editing and publishing training material. Ten years later, I was hired by a Boeing contract to do the same thing.
A few years later, I was hired to “edit” technical manuals for military aircraft Boeing was selling to Taiwan, South Korea and, I think, Indonesia. We were revising (“redacting”) the existing technical manuals for the refurbished aircraft and helicopters , removing any classified or sensitive information (in someone’s opinion) and then modifying the books to look as if they were not redacted.
It was the weirdest editing job I ever had. And there were a lot of customer complaints about what was obvious: The Technical Manuals were useless; they were meant to be useless. That way, the purchasing country would have to rely upon Boeing for repair and maintenance.
Anyway, thanks for this very interesting summary analysis. Now, I have bunnies to feed and zucchini to pick.
