Spiritual Warfare 101

Guest Post by Freed Radical

I have a confession to make. Sometimes I lie awake in bed plotting moves against the evil overtaking our country today. But how? I need a perfect plan. It must be a plan of attack that involves many co-conspirators, but leaves no trace of relationships. The plan needs a powerful, portable, yet affordable weapon, but leaves no evidence of purchase, transportation, or setup. The plan must be constructed intricately, but without Internet searches or computing help. The plan has to be executed invisibly or remotely, for there are cameras everywhere. The plan also must provide for the perfect getaway, with no trail to follow.

These are questions criminals concern themselves with, then review in pain during extended prison sentences. If only I had…

But I have found a way to move against this gross evil, accomplishing all these goals and more. The key is that the moves I make are not in this natural realm, the realm of animal, vegetable, and mineral. The moves I make against evil are in the spiritual realm, which conveniently is ignored by the perpetrators. They even deny the existence of this realm as a central point of their communist dogma. Sounds like the stuff of a politco-religious action-adventure paranormal sci-fi movie, doesn’t it?

Only it’s not.

This is a guide to help you engage in spiritual warfare.

So many conservatives feel totally helpless in the face of the onslaught of economic, moral, intellectual, and spiritual destruction being championed by the media 24/7. Christians feel helpless as their own government criminalizes the worship of God, the Bible, and living a Christian life. We want to fight back but the enemy is diffuse and the propaganda is thick. To address this, we need to recognize that our problems with evil largely emanate from the spiritual realm, so it only makes sense that we should fight there and from there, which ultimately affects the natural realm in concrete ways. That’s spiritual warfare.

Unfortunately, our spiritual leaders, our pastors, are mostly concerned with the business of the church. A lot of Christians have little experience with the spiritual, neglecting prayer until the cancer diagnosis. Other Christians are taught about the reality of the spiritual and warfare in that domain, but are not taught to fight. Some people are so angry at the church that they just stay home. And some Christians are just too busy with life to care. If you are stuck in one of these traps but want to contribute, I invite you to read on.

Before I move forward, let me get a a basket of miscellanea out of the way. I’m not going to sell you anything or choke you with another alliterated Bible study or sermon, and I’m not going to have you shouting Amen on the corner or writhing on the floor. Regarding Bible verses, This is but a short article so the passages I cite are linked for your convenience, to read in whatever translation you like. Regarding theology, there are depths here we could not plumb in a thousand articles, so I’ll leave that to the expert theologian commenters in the forum, to straighten me out in just a few posts. Fortunately for us, this is a How To article, not a Why To article! Please don’t get sidetracked into theological arguments while the real battle rages around you, claiming real lives.

Here we go.

There’s a Bible passage that talks about the armor of God and doing battle with evil, that we are not fighting flesh and blood but dark spiritual powers. A lot of good stuff there, but the part I want to point out is about the sword, otherwise known as the Word of God. That’s what we know as the Bible, and what’s written in it.

So, the Word of God is the sword mentioned in the Word of God. Something recursive about that. Now the Word of God is mentioned in another passage, and it is called “alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword.” Christ is pictured in Revelation as having a sharp double edged sword coming out of his mouth, to do battle, and he is further called the Word of God. Once again, a lot of depth we have to skip for the sake of brevity, but my point is the things we see written in the Bible are not dead words from dead authors. No, these are incisive words of life for right now, today, but you must read them, soak in them, study them, and live them. It’s the knowing and the doing of these words that transforms our life and world.

Then the first important point is that our sword is the living Word of God, the text of scripture.

There are other, defensive parts of the armor of God that you should study also.

Here’s something interesting about God that many Christians have never noticed or been told. How does God create stuff? Does he use his hands like you and me? Does he use a Create-O-Matic, a big 3D printer in Heaven for planets and universes? No, rather he creates by speaking. Isn’t that interesting? He speaks and stuff comes into being, and situations, too.

You and I create using our hands and minds, but since we are created in the image of God we also have some ability to create by speaking. Now this is not some spooky, wacky spiritist mysticism, but a practical skill. You speak into your kids’ lives and things are created in their minds and hearts that become real. If you praise them, they blossom and bear good fruit. If you shout them down continuously, they become defeated and live defeated lives. All that is from the power of your speech, without touching them. The tongue has the power of life and death.

In business, a leader speaks the vision to the team, the team takes up the vision, and something amazing is created.

In sports, the winning coach does not talk about scoring more points, but about winning. That creates victory.

See? You already apply this speaking principle in your everyday life, don’t you? I’m extending your understanding of that principle into the spiritual realm.

As Christians, connected to Christ, we have a measure of his power, under the condition that we use it as Jesus would use it. So we cannot use his power to nuke Washington, DC, however much we would like. That’s not a Godly use of power. We don’t have nukes or F-15’s anyway. Joe says so. But if we have a Godly motivation and goal, that power is available. And it has an effect in the spiritual realm.

How do we wield that power? By speaking the things God wants us to speak!

How do we know what God wants us to speak, or pray? Most people have no idea what to pray. Well, start out praying some words that are true and right and holy. What? You don’t know how to do that? How about I give you a whole book of that and you just read it back to God, pray it into the spiritual realm? Let’s use a popular book that you have heard of, the Bible.

The second important point is that we should pray scripture, out loud, back to God and into the spiritual realm.

Praying scripture into the spiritual realm is one of the ways we wield our sword in spiritual warfare. By selecting what we pray, and our target, we can win battles there and in the natural realm as well.

In most evil situations you can name, there is a related parallel in the Bible. Whether it involves greed, slander, lying, theft, adultery, rape, or even murder, there is a story in the Bible about that. If God has moved you to pray against some specific government corruption, do a Bible search online to find a similar situation (“verses about…”). You’ll find many such references in the Psalms. Generally in every passage where such evils are mentioned, also mentioned are attitudes and principles God wants to teach us. All that is prime material for your prayers. For example:

As you read more and more of the Bible, related passages will simply spring to mind, and you can search out hundreds of these online. You do read your Bible, don’t you?

You and I have heard eloquent pray-ers, people who pray with power and flourish. This is not required of us. Just speak normally. I’m also not asking you to pray in public, or lead others in prayer, though I hope you will find some like minded people and pray together with them. My request is only that you listen to God for a tactical target list (also provided hourly on CNN), use the Bible as your sword, and pray back to God what he has written to us in the scriptures. The battle is God’s ultimately, and we have to listen to him as our commander. You cannot fail because he cannot fail.

And when you pray, be sure to listen, for God speaks to and is found by his children who seek him. The Bible is the prime example of God speaking to us.

We all see the evil that is happening in government, and even the indoctrination of our children into sexual corruption before they reach age 5. I believe hell will be packed with the people doing these things, but how should we pray in the light of such hideous evil? Here’s how I pray, and this has a scriptural basis.

1. Pray for evil people. I first must pray for these people to come to a knowledge of the truth and love God provides for us through the cross of Christ. It is not my intention in the future to stand on the rim of hell and spit on evil people writhing in flames. It is my intention demonstrate to them the love of God and win them into his Kingdom. I pray for the salvation of my enemies, and there is no greater victory among mankind than seeing somebody who was hateful to God and his people stand up and give glory to God. I’ve seen it happen many, many times. Yes, a bunch of people are going to deny God, curse his name, and end up in hell. But not because of me.

2. Pray against evil actions. While I pray for evil people, I always pray against the evil these people are doing. Always. I want their evil plans to crash and burn, and come to nothing, being exposed for all to see. Sowing and reaping is a brutal teacher, and even if there were no heaven and hell such a law ensures time wounds all heels.

So, pray for the person, that they would come over to the side of the good and even holy, and pray against every evil action, plot, program, and plan they are working. This world gives us a lot of prayer material, no?

A warning… The people doing evil in our country have hurt us immeasurably. They deserve hell. However, Christ has paid that penalty for their sin, if only they would admit those sins and turn from them and follow him. In that case, the forgiveness of God is poured on them. And my responsibility is to forgive as well, else God will not forgive me. Ponder that passage in light of what people have done to you. I know, it’s tough.

Something amazing happened to me a few years ago. There is this single mom of two teenage daughters, and they do ministry as a team. They have the most insightful spiritual perception. The younger daughter, then 16, looked straight at me and said, “I have no idea what this means, but I see you in a kid’s red wagon with a sword held high, going into battle.” I did not know what that meant, either.

Just a few days later, I was standing in my home looking out the window, and my red car was sitting in the driveway. And that image hit me. At that time in my life I was driving into town a couple times a week to participate in a ministry, and I had a habit of driving through random neighborhoods in the city, praying out loud for the people there, praying scripture over them (wielding a sword), and praying against any evil spiritual forces at work. I know many adults and kids from those neighborhoods and believe me there is some evil at work. That was the image the young lady saw, I realized.

Not only that, but I did have a red Radio Flyer wagon as a kid! Did you? I loved that wagon. Too bad kids today are missing out on that fun.

I tell you that story because I believe the Lord values my drives through town praying for folks. When we pray back to God the truth he has provided us, he is pleased! And since his word, once sent out, does not return without accomplishing its purpose, it has power. You will experience such feedback from God’s throne as you do battle through prayer. Keep your eyes and ears open.

What, specifically, should we pray about? Here are some of the things I pray about on a regular basis.

I pray against:

I pray for:

Please add your concerns to this list.

What I don’t pray for is people to die, get sick, or get hit by a truck. I will not curse another creation of God, no matter how evil they are at present. God’s mercy was available to me, and I’ll not attempt to block it pouring into somebody else. I want to be known by my love, not my curses.

There are also evil influences going on in our families that we should battle. There was a suicide recently in my extended family, and I can only feel I did not pray powerfully enough for that person and their parents. Our families need this power and protection, for the battle is real and is costing real lives.

The Bible says that God has given us power over all the power of the enemy. There are snakes and scorpions in government. Do you believe we have more power than they? If so, are you ready to exercise that power in the spiritual and natural realms?

On another dark night I was again laying in bed (I seem to do that on a nightly basis), still thinking about doing damage to the evil our government is perpetrating on America. I wasn’t coming up with anything promising, but then I realized if I could just get my hands on any government file cabinet, any file cabinet, or a computer hard drive, any, it would contain enough evidence of crimes and incompetence to do damage to their evil mission for a decade. This is basically what Julian Assange and Edward Snowden were doing. And that was the effect.

Not being a cat burglar or hacker, I have no way to do those things, but I did pray, “Lord, would you please reveal the hidden things of government, the evil things that the elites and bureaucrats do not want to be exposed?” The Bible has passages that state just that.

Certainly if God moved me to pray that prayer he was moving others to pray it as well, perhaps millions, perhaps you, and shortly thereafter the Wikileaks spigot opened, and a few years later the Me-Too spigot, the Epstein pedophile island situation, the Clinton email server mess, the CIA Vault-7 revelation, and other pipes spewing confidential, sometimes top-secret information of government and the elites. Many of them were taken down by the revelations as evil people ate their own. Cancel culture is a twisted outgrowth of that. It seems every week there is some new revelation about somebody evil in high office or position.

God loves to expose evil actions, and evil people. When we pray for him to do that, intense bright lights shine on cold and dark places. And the cockroach elites scatter!

Once I was sitting in traffic in Washington, DC, on a Friday afternoon at 5pm, and the motorists had created gridlock by pulling into intersections on yellow lights, blocking every road for miles. Do these government employees have no sense? As I was sitting there in the belly of the beast where evil is as thick as car exhaust, I asked the Lord, “What would you have me pray for these people?” I heard him tell me, “Pray that a thousand people in this city would tell the truth today.” So I prayed that, out loud. I didn’t hang around to watch the reports of domestic disturbances on the 11 o’clock news as adulterers confessed their dalliances.

Ask the Lord what he wants you to pray about, and how to pray. He will lead you to a Bible passage that fits the prayer. Trust him. Or you will hear confirmation in the same words from your prayer partners.

I see commenters online who have completely abandoned church, while still claiming Christianity. I’ve been there, too, and shall not condemn them. However, if you are in that camp, I urge you to find other Christians who have similar concern and passion for our country and ask them to join you in prayerful spiritual warfare against this present evil. Hang up your church hangup and get into the battle. The devil has you conned. There’s no such thing as a lone wolf Christian. Wolves run in packs, and so should we. You are free to pick your pack, one that is not carpeted or draped.

And I’m not asking you to stop doing whatever you are doing to fight evil in our natural realm. Just add to it the spiritual dimension and you’ll be shocked at your effectiveness.

There’s another warning I must issue. You should know that serious evil prompts serious prayer, and the Kingdom’s warfare is not all fluffy bunnies and butterflies. It takes some backbone. You may experience blow back when you step into the spiritual realm to do battle. Satan loves the politically moderate television viewer, planted in that recliner, not a threat to his plans. But when you get on your knees and blurt out the truth of God in to the spiritual realm, the demons take notice. Part of your prayers must be for protection of you and your family, and you have that power as well. Just don’t get discouraged at a flat tire or irrational boss from time to time. Warriors get scrapes.

Look, there is much more depth to these principles, and I recommend you read books about speaking in the Kingdom of God. (Search them out yourself, for I will not fuel a theological firestorm by recommending authors here.) I have only touched the surface. But even a child with a firearm pointed in the right direction is dangerous to the enemy. Ask the Israelis. That may be you today, but you will grow quickly as you read more, pray more, and do battle more.

When you learn the principles and practices of spiritual warfare, you will be unbeatable in the spiritual realm, and your work will have effect in the natural. You will be able to get in, set your spiritual detonator, get out, and watch the results on TV with a million of your brothers and sisters in the spiritual army of God, also known as The Church. No politician or government bureaucrat will have the least suspicion that it was you who outed them, along with a lot of your fellow soldiers. There will be no credit card receipts, no phone meta data, and no video. In fact, the people you are doing battle with don’t even believe in God! They think you are some religious nut case. All the better for us.

Become part of a prayer regiment, pushing the evil of Washington, DC and other liberal hubs worldwide back into the pit of hell. Will you close abortion clinics, rebuild school boards, and crush the works of evil elites and bureaucrats? Will you do that with me? Will you gather some warriors to do this with us? Speak God’s truth into the natural and spiritual realms and see what he will do!

Okay, it’s time. I’m done here. Release the theologians!

“Praying harder” is one of the reasons things became such a mess to begin with (along with ignorance & complacency). People are busy praying, while their enemies are busy taking action in the tangible world to defeat and enslave them.

Praying for your enemies might make you feel good and allow you to claim moral superiority, but you’d better be simultaneously coming up with a plan to defeat them in the real world.

We are supposed to pray for our enemies, but in that light, I’m deviating a bit.

It is hard to do that. And we are only human. But we try.

On the contrary, I got everything out of the essay and understood the entire point of it.

Keep praying, though.

Agree with KJ – at this point, prayer (and church in general) is starting to feel like “controlled opposition.” Something to distract and console us while they beat us in every arena.

That’s because the Church has been compromised. Don’t listen to the priests or ministers. Read the Bible and get it straight from the source.

The author clearly and concisely spoke of Jesus with a sword in his mouth. And what the power of prayer can CONSTRUCT.
How you could conclude the message was purely a non-confrontational one is of your own imagination.

Because praying comes from the abstract world of language which is not you. Merle Haggard said it best in the Way I am.

He is not the dream nor the reality.

“Praying for your enemies ..”

Let not your heart be troubled. Praying for enemies is an IDEAL. But, no one really practices it.

How often do you see those folks here saying they’re praying for that BLMer burning down a building, or for an Antifa hoodlum pummeling a White person, or read that they are praying for Dementia* Pelosi & ilk? Zero?

OTOH, how many times do you read that we should hang them all, kill ’em, and hope they fucking rot in hell? Every damned day?

Case closed.

My wife and I pray in silence. I don’t know what she prays, we rarely talk about it. I’d not tell her some of mine that are for others from my past, wink, wink. But she often seems to pray for the reprobate minds in D.C., so who knows. As with so many couples, we don’t seem to speak the same English, and I’ve told her God isn’t understanding her and that’s why she wound up with ovarian cancer and damn near killed me with a stroke.

Nice dissertation FR, very well done. It is a fine line between this world and the next. Discernment is the thing I ask for from above. It seems if we have true discernment all else will fall into place.

Ken31

If we had that, we wouldn’t need Jesus.

Norman Franklin

Even with discernment the human condition remains. So yes we still need Jesus. For his blood he spilled for us, as well as the exemplary life he lived as a man.

“In that case, the forgiveness of God is poured on them. And my responsibility is to forgive as well, else God will not forgive me.

Careful… it’s not about anything you may or may not do, today. That statement was directed at new covenant Jewish believers given extraordinary powers that we no longer possess. Yes, supernatural powers of forgiveness; as in “turn the other cheek”.

Colossians 2:13-15 KJB… “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

You’ll find no if/then “covenants” in the above. The battle over sin is won, it’s over. Christ’s shed blood put an end to it. If you are in Christ today by faith in that shed blood, you ARE forgiven; completely and totally! The battle of faith in what God has already done rages.

Philippians 4:6-9 KJB… “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

By all means, join the battle. Wield the sword mightily, with knowledge of the mystery of Christ! Wonderfully spirited article! Grace and peace to you and yours as you fight! Carry the mystery gospel of peace wherever you go!

1 Corinthians 4:1 KJB… “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

Stucky

“That statement was directed at new covenant Jewish believers given extraordinary powers that we no longer possess.”

Moar bullshit.

You pretty much believe 90% of the Bible doesn’t apply to Believers today. You cling to that Usurper Paul … the Joo who never knew Jesus, nor took instruction from those you did actually sit at Jesus’ feet. Yeah, baby … listen to THAT guy.

I pity those who buy your malarky.

grace country pastor

Go build an ark.

Galatians 1:6-9 KJB… “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

Why are you mocking Paul? Are you not aware of the road to Damascus where he had his conversion and He heard and spoke with Jesus? You’ve got him all wrong. Personally speaking, when I meet Saul/Paul in heaven, I will be thanking him for his ministry.

Stucky

ONLY Paul saw the “light from heaven”

ONLY Paul heard the voice. His traveling companions only heard sounds.

They had a “conversation”?

— Paul said, “Who are you, Lord?”.

— Jesus said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

4 words from Paul. 24 from Jesus. Some conversation! Powerful!! /s

What maybe happened; Paul had a seizure, or perhaps sun stroke. What probably happened: Paul made up the entire story to give him credibility among the faithful … which was at the time ZERO since, you know, since he was persecuting them harshly.

You can follow Paul The Fraud. I’ll stick to Jesus.

Stucky doesn’t even mention all of the times that Paul contradicts Jesus’ teachings.

There’s a good reason for that…

Mark 16:18 KJB… “They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Go play with dangerous toys. They can’t hurt you; cause Jesus was speaking to you, right? Why are you not in hospitals healing the sick? Jesus said you can do it! Get to it man! All this talk, what are you waiting for?

These thought of yours, they will last an eternity. You will dwell on them forever.

Stucky – God chose Saul, a detestable persecutor of the early church, to carry the Gospel to the gentiles. God took an anti-Christian zealot and turned him into Paul, one of the most effective Christian zealots.

I do not necessarily understand GCP’s allegiance to Paul, as the sole carrier of the message of Christ to the Gentiles. Peter, too, preached the Gospel to Gentiles and brought them salvation through Christ.

We are all on the same team and have available the full armor of God. Put it on and use it. Freed gave us a quick guide.

I have to defend Stucky here.
If ever there was a modern day Converso or Marano coming here for the express purpose of spreading lies and false doctrines of a mortal nature it would have to be GCP

“Conversos who did not fully or genuinely embrace Catholicism, but continued to practise Judaism in secrecy, were referred to as judaizantes (“Judaizers”) and pejoratively as marranos (“swine”).”

He preaches a Gospel created by and perfected by a pair of heretics, bankrolled by a rich Christian hating New York Zionist Jew banker and spread to every poor family and Christian Seminary in the US and Britain at the beginning of the 1900’s.
He never verbally refutes our charges but simply throws more Bible verses at us taken out of context.
He openly rails against calling anyone Rabbi or Father yet gladly anoints himself with the title of pastor and never corrects his fawning dupes of a following when they address him as Pastor.

May God have mercy on his soul and the souls of his victims.

stucky,
i know that you detest paul but do you believe the story of him on the road to damascus?
if you believe that story then wouldn’t he be a disciple of jesus?

Tampa: go read the teaching of Jesus in the Gospels. Make a list.

Then go read the letters of Paul to anyone, and mark down the passages wherein Paul contradicts the teachings of Jesus on the first list. You may be shocked at what you find.

This is not a “short article”. It’s 3,532 words. Just sayin’ ..

“The key is that the moves I make are not in this natural realm, the realm of animal, vegetable, and mineral. The moves I make against evil are in the spiritual realm,”

Unfortunately your enemy is making moves in the physical realm. They have real bodies, real minds, and real evil intents. For that you need guns and lots of ammo. Shoot the fuckers first, then pray for their spiritual bodies. I believe this is a theologically correct position.

Unless, of course, you prefer to shout “DEPART FROM ME YOU DEMONS FROM HELL!!” … while they are holding a gun to your head!

Is it wrong to know the enemy?

Stucky

GeorgeS,

My immediate inclination, upon seeing the title of the book you linked, was to ignore it.

The reason being is that I am mostly quite uninterested (when it comes to things Spiritual) in “secret” this, or that. A bedrock foundation of mine, which I will not yield, is that God will not make it difficult to know him. How odd it is to me that folks believe that God wants ALL to come to true knowledge (and, salvation) of himself … and then make it damned near impossible with a labyrinth of secrets upon secrets that only a FEW can decipher. Bullshit!

BUT … I have much respect for you. So, I thought I’d give you a shot. (Pretty noble of me, eh?)

I quick scanned the section “The Life and Philosophy of Pythagoras”. Wow!! THAT was really quite interesting! The book is now bookmarked, and I’, looking forward to reading more.

I also quickly checked out the “Conclusion” … always good to see where an author is coming from before investing hours reading. He wrote ,,,

“Thus it is demonstrated that to capture a man it is not sufficient to enslave his body–it is necessary to enlist his reason; …. his mind must be liberated from bondage to his own ignorance.”

Sweet!! That’s the road all of us are on, I think. Whether Christian, non-Christian, atheist, or whatever … we all desire to free our minds from the bondage of ignorance.

That’s called a Spiritual Journey. We are all Searchers. None of us are in the same exact point on that path.

The sad thing I have noticed over many years of observation is that the longer one is on that path, the more that person is assured that THEIR path is the correct one, and the more intolerant they are of those not as “advanced” as they are. Next thing you know they call you a HERETIC (!!!) or inform you that you are full of shit and going to hell. I’m glad you, and several others here, are not like that.

Again, thank you for the link.

Pray for the enemy dead? Personally, I think dedicating the enemy to Odin is best. If you win a battle, you kill them all and destroy everything they have. If you lose, you still might get to fight evil during Ragnarok. Win-win

How strange is it that the people who believe in an eternal-heaven-world are unwilling to actually fight what they see as evil in this-world unless they are immune from all this-world consequences? Well, if only we had the perfect plan…

I’m not telling anyone to do anything dumb, but I will not pretend praying is the same as acting. But then again, I also don’t pretend that if I pray I am drawing the attention of demons.

Why did priests go and lead prayers and give absolution or whatever before battles? To make men fight harder or worry less about dying in battle. People have been doing this for as long as we know.

This forgiving and praying for the enemy is pure weakness. The article reeks of cowardice.

Norman Franklin

I always had a problem with the praying for the enemy part. Seems we should be fortunate if we are granted the wisdom/strength to know which battles to fight and which to pass on. I don’t profess to know a lot of the Bible, its a big book with lots of stories and my hard drive doesn’t have the space it used too. I do feel that the letters from prison tend toward .Gov toadyism. I mean its prison and everything he wrote was filtered through PRISON.

Either way it all comes back around to the battle of faith versus deeds. the Bible is full of both. You cant have one without the other. That doesn’t mean faith is the end all be all, just because one guy says so. So discernment seems to be whats called for. That seems like an individual thing. I certainly want to know which hill I am supposed to stand on. Maybe I die, maybe I make the enemy die for his belief.

At the end of the day we have all the things promised in the word coming in the next life. In this life all that remains is the air we breath, those we love, and the swords we leave.

Norman- For the past 5 years, I have read the Bible almost every day. I use a plan that takes me through it with daily readings. The first year, it was start at Genesis 1:1 and continue through to Revelation 22:21. Last year was a chronological reading which required a lot of jumping around to different books and this year, I am using a plan that has me reading a couple of chapters in the Old Testament and a chapter in the New Testament, plus a chapter of Psalms a couple of days a week.

One year, our entire church read one chapter of the New Testament every day, five days a week and our preacher would teach from that selection on Sunday morning. That was probably my favorite year of reading, as there were a thousand of us reading the same chapters every day for the whole year.

Each time I go through the Bible, I pick up something different or have a different understanding of what I am reading. It has done a lot for my faith and has brought me closer to God. There are lots of plans available and I would suggest you get one, start reading and gaining insight into this marvelous book

Norman Franklin

Good advice TP, I started reading from the beginning once, got through the old testament part way through the new before stopping. Now I just randomly open it up and begin reading, knowing in my heart that if there is something I’m supposed to get, it will be shown to me. Was told by some that this is devilry. Still looking as far as churches go. I have faith that we will find the right one at the right time.

Our daughter found a great church that was right around the corner from her house and when we heard the pastor, fell in love with the place. He is the real deal, Bible believing, New Testament teaching leader of his flock. He is the one who got me to reading according to a plan and also the one who came up with the idea for the entire church to study the same 5 chapters of the NT each week. The church has planted dozens of churches from Canada to India and is really big on community outreach

You need a plan for your reading and Pastor always suggests starting in Mathew 1:1. 1 chapter a day, 5 days a week and you will cover the entire NT in 52 weeks. We used the Highlight, Explain, Apply Respond (HEAR) method in our NT study. Read your chapter and Highlight the verse that means the most to you. Explain what the verse means to you. How does the verse Apply to your life? Respond to the verse – do you need to confess something, thank the Lord or ask for His help. Reading the Bible is God talking to you and Prayer is you talking to him

Keep looking and the Lord will lead you to the place He wants you. Good Luck & God Bless.

I’ve done the same thing @Freed, but I’m also curious if being anonymous even matters right now. Way back during the first reign of Barack Osama, I had the utmost devious plots, which have since been developed by DARPA. And nope, they didn’t involve robodog and his pals. I’m still up for the idea, but we’re at a point where anything I can think of, DARPA, General Dynamics is already producing.

So I guess it’s going to have to be old school guerilla warfare.

This article is a call to those Christians sitting in their lounge chairs or drinking coffee at the computer fighting some cyber battle with trolls. Who cares what the woke post in between their masturbation sessions, trying to keep the noise down so mom won’t hear, before their shift at Mickey D’s?

Thank you to the poster who wrote this article. I am not alone and neither are you. We have Jesus the Christ. It is with Him that I make my stand. I will pray and speak scripture. I’ll pray for that purple haired boy who wants to be a girl because he wants to fit in this world and get approval. Only Jesus can heal him. Nothing I say to him on the internet will change his mind. Satan has clouded his mind and he can only be released by prayer.

It doesn’t take jesus to ‘heal’ that boy, it just takes an ABSENCE of subversive media, therapists, and extreme perverts.

If people understood that Satan is the absence of God, they might not have such loony religious ideas about good, evil, and what to do in this world. We need to be forgiven our sins, because if we are to fight evil, we will have to sin ourselves.

After my wife and I started seriously praying for our fallen niece we are starting to see cracks in the wall of defeat she has been living . She has quit the mudsharking and drugs and accepted the Saviour . Things are coming now and we can see His hand working in her behalf . One life at a time by His mighty power . Salvation , deliverance , healing , and restoration .

I can remember being taught in our junior high Sunday School class about ‘turning the other cheek’. Our teacher said that after turning the other cheek, we don’t know if the person picked up a 2 x 4 and beat the hell out of the other guy. I remember that from 61 years ago.

I think the story of Elijah at Mount Carmel would be more fitting parallel to current events.

Not Sure

First off, I find todays Christian in a unique position; in Paul’s time, there was a king and what the king commands you to do, you do. Simple (Back then it was good to be da king). Today, the government is of the people, for the people and by the people (at least it used to be), so today, we have direct input into the destiny of our country. Since we have a representative government today, it’s not possible to find bible verses on how they did it; we are in new territory with divine guidance for us to know how to conduct ourselves.
Second, I believe we must stand and fight to maintain our freedoms, but must also remember it is our heart the Lord will judge and not how many foes we vanquish. Even in the last book of the Bible, it looks like our enemy will just about gain the victory, until the Lord’s second coming when all the evil and ungodly acts of men will be defeated and judged (oh, how I long for that day!). My point is, we must admit the Lord is interested in His kingdom and not necessarily our American kingdom that we are choosing to defend. So every step in the battle we must fight knowing we are called to a higher calling to fight for the kingdom of God, as we fight for our own liberties and freedom.
So, how do we fight? I would say our spiritual warfare is mainly for ourselves, that our heart and conscience remain blameless before God and man, as we rid our land of the tyranny that would enslave us. But fight we must, drawing from the wisdom of the Lord’s leading through scripture, courage as we see in David’s fighting for his earthly kingdom and always to persevere to finish what you have given yourself to accomplish with all your strength, so that in that day before God, there will be no regret in your heart for the choices you have for your life.

I have precisely the solution you have requested. Not trying to be a dick. But. You need people like me. I need people with like 14.7 million dollars to fuck off, so I can finish my high-tech logistic and infrastructure researches, and achieve YOUR GOALS, already.

You want destruction? I don’t, but the evil is starting to swallow it’s own tail as it is. You’re asking the wrong questions… And it’s really not my obligation to show you those answers to the test I that I can ace. It’s your responsiblity to your children to listen to a man like me, and take it seriously. But you won’t.

I spend so much time on this wonder weapon/technological complex. You’re begging me to finish my work, and don’t even know it. But I can’t finish without funding. It’s that plain, ugly, lack of capital that will make all of our futures Hell on Earth.

I hope you were listening.

I’m fine with letting the world take the path of destruction at this point.

But the solution involves construction, not destruction.

Good luck.

When you want your prayers answered…

Reach out.

Praying to God expecting him to do your work for you will not help and he will not listen, praying to him is cheap hypocrisy. This is part of the decadence of the Christian faith, sticking to pointless form and ritual while ignoring the essence. God helps those who help themselves, taking action and sacrificing yourself is the hard thing that will be rewarded.

I pray I find the strength, the courage and the wisdom to do what must be done. You do not pray to run from the world, you pray to fight it.

But you may very well choose the place in the world, where you will fight.

I bumped into an older lady (from a Baptist church I used to attend) in the parking lot of a grocery store last weekend. In a loud voice, she announced …. ‘WHERE’S YOUR MASK’? Naturally, she had been vaccinated. It was a short conversation as she had no interest in anything not spouted by the MSM. This is a lady I would have absolutely attested knew the Bible inside, out. And yet, she was devoid of any real discernment. This lady represents the collective of society … at least most of them I would suggest 80% of the people I know have received the jab. Practically NO ONE is aware of what is transpiring behind the scenes with COVID. Do fellow TBP readers not get that? You … me …. we are practically alone. Meaning. There is no battle to fight. There is no war to be won. We are alone (on a relative basis). What there is, is waiting for the next iteration of ‘society’ to unfold. Christians are PROMISED trials and tribulation. To suggest we are gonna turn this ship around is dysfunctional thinking/logic. Think about what we have been through over the last 1 1/2 years and that includes the VERY APPARENT THEFT OF A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. Any what did anyone do about it. Squat. That’s what. It that doe not open your eyes to our reality … face it … nothing will. As Christians we are to remain vigilant and keep our eyes open to and for ‘end times’. If ever the body of evidence pointed to its occurrence, it is now. My faith and hope is not of this world. I am a pilgrim passing through. I pray for strength and guidance in getting through our future and coming out victorious on the other side. I WILL pray the same thing for all of you … right now.

Yes we are alone, but still can control our individual destinies. How long before each and every one of us face our moment of courage or cowardice of our convictions? Everyday I still wrestle with the knowledge and emotion that all vestiges of the Republic are gone.

Thanks so much for this article, it’s a keeper. I want to re read it often. I especially liked the part about asking God what to pray about for an individual, and He will show you scriptures that apply. I realized I am busy telling ( asking) God to do things, but haven’t asked how I should pray for someone.

Pure Churchian belief here. Repentance must come first, and unless they truly repent, you are under no obligation to forgive.

“Freed Radical” only appears as an author, never a commenter. Not even in this article, his / her article, does “Freed” make a comment.

Doesn’t take a brain surgeon to realize “Freed” is a pseudonym.

But, is “Freed” a regular TBPer? Absolutely!!

But, who? WHO is this “Freed”???

May God have mercy on his soul and the souls of his victims

stucky,
freed radical is obviously gcp–
do you want to contradict it?

Stucky

“freed radical is obviously gcp– do you want to contradict it?”

No, I don’t want to contradict it. I sort of suspected it also.

If there was a valid contradiction it’s that “Freed Radical” never mentions the Rapture! That kind of self-control seems almost impossible for GCP.

stuck,
i was playing when i put that up there,i havve no idea who wrote it but i did like the article–

here is a list from a website that lists contradictions between jc & paul–
there are some small differences but i do not see much that i would be willing to argue about–
i know nothing about this outfit,it was just near the top when i typed a question about jc/paul into the browser–

Stucky

So, “Freed Radical” is the same dude who recently said to me — “Go fuck yourself” and “Blow Me”?

And now preaches praying for your enemy??

Just another possible contradiction.

TampaRed

i did not see those–
freed, you are contradicting yourself if you said those things, and you need to apologize–
stucky, both jc and paul say you should forgive freed–
i’ve spent the last hour avoiding going out to mow & take care of a tenant’s backed up plumbing so i’m going out now to face the elements–pray 4 me–
when i come back i expect to see your apology here, bigly & boldly–

“One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God begin?”

Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God isn’t ushered in with visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘It has begun here in this place or there in that part of the country.’ For the Kingdom of God is within you.””

I think that the Pharisees were looking for clues from Jesus about where and how to anticipate and counterattack (perhaps pre-emptively) this spiritual revolution that frightened them so deeply. His reply was divine mis-direction!

Don’t think for a minute that the opposing team doesn’t embrace the spiritual side. Just about all of those in positions of great power have made deals with the Devil. Wealth equals power. Notice the moral vacuum with those in the performing arts, for example. Movie stars & rock stars live decadent lives and openly flaunt their perverse lifestyles and support all of the political views that are diametrically opposite to those of Christians. The mainstream and social media push their narratives while simultaneously block and censor anyone with a dissenting voice.

This has ALWAYS been the continuing battle between good and evil.

Thanks, FR, for this insightful advice. I, too, have had many urges to find a way to thwart the evildoers in our midst. It’s getting crowded. After spending too much time on Zerohedge, TBP, and many others I can feel the anger boil up inside me and it always leads me to psalm 37 “Fret not thyself because of evildoers” which tends to put me back on the right track. Your solid biblical advice to pray for our enemies is the answer! Summon the power of God through prayer and give no credence to your fleshly thoughts to do evil to the sons of Belial. Thank you for spreading the best advice to battle the lawless and to keep ourselves on the narrow path to the eternal kingdom!
