We’ve been in Wildwood since Saturday as the fake news MSM has been fear mongering the dreaded Delta variant that doesn’t kill anyone at a hysterical pitch, designed to aid Biden and his moronic band of clueless apparatchiks as they inflict their coercive vaccine campaign upon the masses. Well I’ve got some news from the real world. The thousands upon thousands of people vacationing in Wildwood, NJ don’t give a shit about Biden and the MSM fear campaign.
We’ve been on the beach, on the boardwalk, at bars and at restaurants. No one is masking, other than a few Karen cat ladies, no one is social distancing, and no one is fearful. Families are on the beach playing games, swimming in the ocean, digging in the sand, illegally drinking alcohol, and essentially ignoring the false narrative being spun by senile Biden and his lying acolytes. Cape May County has 23 cases per day “with” Covid, and have experienced 4 deaths “with” Covid in the last three months, most likely four 85 year olds with five co-morbidities that actually killed them.
I’m getting more convinced by the day this farce of a pandemic is over in the minds of average everyday Americans. It is only an ongoing pandemic of fear among the elites in Washington DC, NYC, and California as the centerpiece for the further usurpation of our rights, liberties and freedoms. They are using this Delta Variant as a cudgel to beat the critical thinking resisters into submission to their experimental gene therapy that does not keep you from getting covid, keep you from spreading covid, or keep you from dying from covid.
The level of lying, misinformation, threats and coercion coming from dementia Joe’s handlers is actually a sign of weakness and desperation. Except, these idiots will double down and attempt to provoke violent upheaval to further their tyrannical aims.
But back to my observations from the real world. As we were sitting on our balcony reading books, the various banner planes flew by advertising local restaurants and bars. Then I looked up and did a double take as I saw this banner being flown over the beach in Wildwood:

It seems there are still a significant faction of this country who believe this election was stolen from Trump by the Deep State, in conjunction with Biden’s handlers, the Silicon Valley social media censorship consortium, the fake news leftist corporate media conglomerates, and the shady billionaires funding the fraudulent election scheme. As we walked on the beach and seawall, we saw numerous Trump flags blowing in the sea breeze and hanging from beach houses.
Seeing these displays of support for Trump among the blue collar beach goers in Wildwood clearly shows we are living in times of huge division and divisiveness. When McCain and Romney lost to Obama, there was no one continuing to support those worthless losers with flags flying in Wildwood or anywhere. A good portion of the people in Wildwood know the election was stolen and Trump should still be president. Just like a good portion of the people on that beach know this pandemic is a crock of shit. The question is at what point will these people allow themselves to be bullied and prodded to the point of pushing back. I think the time is growing short before violence begins.
On Sunday night we decided to see our two favorite performers in Wildwood, Billy Jack and the Juliano Brothers. The Shamrock has been knocked down to make room for a parking lot, so Billy Jack now plays at the Inlet on Olde, while the Juliano Brothers go on at 10:00 at Keenan’s. We decided to leave at 8:00 pm and walk the half mile on the seawall. Just our luck, the radar showed a thunderstorm only minutes away. We decided to chance it and try to beat the storm to the Inlet. My wife would not have been a happy camper if she arrived at the bar looking like a wet rat. As we raced along the seawall, this unusual cloud phenomenon called wave clouds rolled by. We took it as a sign we should speed up.
A massive hour long downpour began five minutes after we sat down at the bar. Billy Jack had been onstage since 4:00 pm entertaining the shit out of the place. When he saw us he did a double take, came over and gave us a big hug while he was still playing. His night was over just before 9:00 pm, but he did a song especially for Dani – Brown Eyed Girl – and came over and sang it to her at the bar. After his last set he came over to talk with us. We told him we were headed to Keenan’s to see the Juliano Brothers at 10:00. His eyes lit up and said he was coming with us.
As we walked down the block numerous people yelled out to Billy Jack. He’s a legend in Wildwood. Every long time Wildwood vacationer has seen him play and enjoyed his songs. When we got to Keenans the Juliano Brothers were already playing and the crowd of young and old were dancing and singing along. No covid fear in that bar. At least ten people greeted Billy Jack as we entered the bar. The three Juliano Brothers had all contracted covid over the winter and one had almost died, but they were recovered and back at it for the summer.
They immediately spotted Billy Jack in the back of the room with us and yelled for him to come up on stage and sing with them. He made his way up on stage and did a great version of Tenth Avenue Freeze Out, which I attempted to film. Ironically, my cheap phone froze halfway through the song, but the sound continued.
The Juliano Brother kept the place rocking until after midnight, with drunkish youngsters and oldsters singing along. Towards the end of the night they did one of the all-time bar favorites – Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. No one was afraid of touching hands or belting out the lyrics. These honey badgers didn’t give a shit about covid or the pandemia fear brigade. This pandemic is over in Wildwood. No fear. Just fun.
Last night we walked the seawall at sunset on our way to the Anglesea Pub to eat outside while listening to another great acoustic guitar player – Richie Baker. The seagulls had taken over Champagne Island, where boaters set up camp during the day drinking and enjoying the beach life.
As we walked along the wall, the sky turned a pinkish hue, and a peacefulness descended upon this real world scene, away from the screeching and fearmongering happening in the fake digital world of social media and talking heads on fake news channels.
As the sun began to set families enjoyed the views and soaked in the beauty of nature, forgetting about the day to day nonsense driving people insane in the outside world. No one on this wall cared about Biden mandates, Fauci lies, or the Delta variant.
This stunning view of the sun setting over an old waterfront church symbolizes the descent of our country into an abyss which we may or not survive. I don’t know what comes next, but I fear it will not be pleasant. But for now we are enjoying the real world and the real people of Wildwood.

Listening recently to the great Bible teacher, Les Feldick, on his television program that first aired sometime in the early 2000s, I heard him telling of when he and his wife visited Israel. The visit was in the mid 1990s, I think.
Les said that they were at a restaurant and a young, Jewish man approached them at their table. They were obviously visiting Americans, and the man, as I take it, wanted to quiz them a bit about the reason for their visit to his country.
Feldick said he learned through the introduction that the young man was a product of Yeshiva, the study institution for Jewish boys.
Their conversation somehow got around to the Jewish view of the Messiah and how each viewed who this person would be and what he would do—his role on behalf of Israel.
Les first explained that his view—as a Christian—is that the Messiah had already visited Israel. He was God’s Son, and would come again to institute the Millennial Kingdom, etc.
The Jewish man said, during their cordial conversation, that they didn’t believe Jesus had been their Messiah, and that the Jewish studies taught that Mashiach—the Messiah—will be a superhuman person, but not deity.
This brought to my thinking the visit Adolf Hitler reported at one point while he was Germany’s infamous Führer. Hitler said he was suddenly confronted by a being while sitting in his office. The visitor was a profoundly commanding figure that assured him, Hitler, that he would be the savior of Germany; he would restore Germany and its people to greatness.
Hitler described the personage as “Überman,” a man that transcended mere mortal men. The being was a superman, of sort, der Führer implied.

I was up in Jersey this past weekend also. Had some freebies from Harrah’s casino in Atlantic City for a magic show Friday Night and a “Legends” concert Saturday. We were gonna do an escape room Saturday afternoon but the girls wanted to hit the outlets so us guys went to the poker room.
The only masks I saw were the dealers–and they may be required to do so. Lots of drinking going on and masks make that a bit difficult for the revelers.

I’m so sick of this whole COVID thing, you can’t get away from it no matter how hard you try. Like I have said before, the tide will turn as humans will tolerate only to a certain point.

Where we live, in the South Okanagan Valley of B.C. the high heat ( high 90’s – low 100′) and the smoke from the wildfires surrounding us is some days so thick, acrid and stifling that you literally can’t breathe properly and would best be advised to stay indoors. I’ve taken to wearing a mask when forced to be ” oot and aboot ” ( Canadianism ) not due to Covid alarmism but purely to prevent, as much as possible, smoke inhalation. And guess what? When I remove it, the inside is grey from the smoke particles, which are a LOT larger than the Covid virus, but I digress. This last week of July – first week of August is the pinnacle of the summer tourist season and the area ( especially Penticton which is situated between two lakes) is packed. The two beaches, motels, campgrounds and restaurants are jammed with holidayers . Masking is advised but not mandatory ( except for hospitals and doctor’s offices ) and about half wear them in the stores. The usual suspects ( Karens ) wear them in their cars and probably, although I have no personal first hand knowledge, in the shower. Life up here pretty much goes on as per usual ( whatever THAT is ) however I’m pretty sure that the special people that live down on the coast in the Big Smoke ( Vancouver) have flipped that on it’s head.
Ogopogo has never been photographed wearing a mask. Not one time!

There definitely is a divergence between the two Americas and one wonders how long they can feasibly coexist.
Right now, it seems, it’s too close to call.
Wife and I went to Vancouver Island for a few days last week.
It’s a bit of a journey from our inland home. Figured most people at the ferry terminal would be masked as it’s just a few miles down the road from Seattle North (Vancouver). Was surprised to see about 70% were not wearing them. At home in the supermarket probably 10 to 20 percent still put them on. I think people are starting to tune out the doom porn coming from the media 24/7. They’ve had enough. At least most have.
I Loved wildwood in the late 60’s and 70’s. Grandparents’ house was on the south side of Rio Grande Ave 3rd from the corner where NJ Avenue crossed . WCMC played the best rock. My cousins and I had a lot of fun and made forever friends with other “summer season kids”. Great memories were made and friendships forged. No politics, no covid just big Jersey mosquito bites, burnt mouths from overly hot boardwalk Pizza and general MD 2020 induced mischief. But best of all was the Jersey girls. We really liked hanging out with Jersey girls.

Hardly any mask-wearing in my town. everything is open and only tourists and the occasional Karen wearing masks. Took a trip to a nearby university city and everyone was wearing the diaper. The fearful actions they take when my family walks up maskless shows me how well the fear pushing works.
Just think of all those flu seasons we have lived through in our lives. No masks or
special pushing of fear. I guess we were all lucky that politicians didn’t use each season to push fear as they do now. my kids are going back to school and the school is mask-free at the moment. I hope it stays that way. I had a talk with my kids about how they will experience pressure to take the jab from some people and how to deal with it. Some society we live in now.

The problem with freedom-lovers is they should be storming NYC. Coming in droves. Whatever happens in NYC will be coming to a town, city, rural community near you.

Yes. I’ve been a part of many of these rallies since mid 2020….but the numbers are no where big enough for a city of this size. civil disobedience. a kinder, gentler way of saying>>>>FU!
Jim – my S.O. shrugged this off saying “they were outside w/o masks because they were all vaccinated!” What is your take on that? What % of people down there had the “ouchie?”
My guess would be less than 50%. Thousands of young people and their jab percentage is about 30%.
We were inside restaurants and bars. ZERO masks inside, with ZERO social distancing. Watch the videos.
Remind your s.o. that the “vaccine” confer very IMperfect protection, if any at all.
