I’ve lurked around this site for years, and, on occasion, put forth an article or two. Mostly I just read and listen in on the commentary. Some of it is humorous, some of it is vile, and much of it is informative, but the little bubble of free speech this site represents is a virtual “city on the hill” from Matthew (5:14). The spirit of freedom is what connects us, and even if most of us talk a bigger game than we walk, we are at least willing to talk which is where the intention to walk is born.
Recently I had the opportunity to take a step beyond the talking. After digging into the various posts and links to studies regarding Ivermectin, HCQ, and other alternate treatments for the illness alleged to be SARS COV-2, I got a call that my in-laws were both “positive” for Covid. While I may not think that there is any proof that Covid is a thing, my relatives were very sick. Moreover they are both old, and my mother in-law is caring for my father in-law as he has a cancerous brain tumor. She had gotten to the point where she could no longer physically care for him, and she needed help urgently.
Keep in mind that I own a business and I am currently in the middle of the busiest part of our year. We do a lot of work with “sports ball” stadiums, and whatever your opinion of sport may be it has a pretty hard deadline around the kickoff of the season. Our people are deployed across the nation currently working on multiple projects and will be away from home through the middle of next month. Getting exposed to Covid represents a royal pain in my ass as I am now writing this from isolation where I wait to find out if I am sick as well. That means I can’t help with the deployments until I’m “cleared” by a dysfunctional test, or, if it becomes clear I am not well, for a much longer time frame. As we are invoicing a significant amount of money per deployed hour, I am risking a significant financial hit by choosing to show up and take care of them.
I’m sharing this with you because I realized that by making this deliberate choice I had the opportunity to put my money where my mouth is. As an engineer, I know that filtration involves sealing the boundary between two air spaces, the pore size of the filtration material versus the particles filtered, and numerous other effects like sedimentation, contamination, aerosol vs droplets, ionization, washing, stretching, handling, etc. I can also read many of the papers presented in scientific journals competently, and thus I have concluded, pending new information, that masks are useless for preventing the transmission of viruses.
Similarly I’ve evaluated the FLCCC protocol, similar protocols, and supporting research over the past year or so and have similarly concluded that using Ivermectin in conjunction with Zinc, a Zinc ionosphore like quecertin, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D is an effective prophylaxis against the virus(s) we are calling Covid. Because of that I chose not to wear a mask while helping out, and I chose to take the prophylaxis. Even if it works I could still get sick. Even if it doesn’t work, I may not get sick. My results are just one data point. On the other hand my choice reflects my research and a conscious decision based on data I’ve tracked down and evaluated. Much of that data has first come to my attention here, and that is why I’m writing today.
OK, so you may be thinking, “get to the point”.
I have another opportunity to put my money where my mouth is, and for this I need your help. My daughter will start her Junior year in the local school system tomorrow. While she has spent much of her life and a good bit of my fortune in private schools to this point, when we moved to this town last year my wife and I decided that her best choice here is the public school. And as much as I generally have a very low opinion of public schools I stand by that decision largely based on our lack of other viable options.
This school system, while generally well regarded as far as public schools go, is still primarily focused on risk aversion and compliance as their primary mission. To that end they have re-instituted a mask mandate for all students, a decision that I disagree with rather strongly.
I am about to become a legal pain in the ass of the school board, the city council that appoints said school board, the state school board, the legislature, and likely the court system. I understand that I will not sway the opinion of the apparatchiks on the board, the council, or the state board. They are in it for their own benefit and their decisions are based on their desire to avoid blame and responsibility as well as to comply with directives handed to them on high and profit from their hidden relationships. I’ve worked in the political process before, and I have a clear understanding of the power and powerlessness of a grass-roots movement in the political machine.
The point of this exercise is to put on the record information about the consequences of public policy as relates to our children. To that end I want to provide awareness and resources to the people who will see these meetings. They need to know that our psych wards are filling up with young teens who have attempted suicide; that the increase in YOY successful suicides in school age children far exceeds the deaths from Covid; that children (especially young children) suffer most from re-breathing the air in their masks because of the ratio of lung capacity to mask capacity; that attention spans and learning outcomes are destroyed by masking; that mask re-use, long term wear, and cross contamination from fidgeting means masks are a source of problems; that effective communication is very difficult with masks, that, in short, a mandatory mask policy fails the “first, do no harm” directive of public health, does not provide any measurable benefits, and impedes learning.
I’ve spent a good bit of time reading and following various threads and articles, but what I haven’t done is archive that information in a way that I can use it as a resource to share and present to other groups. Can you help me with that? I’ve asked admin to post this as a sticky for a few days to give the TBP family an opportunity to post links and resources that I can use for this next active step to resist the narrative. I’ll reciprocate your help by creating a shareable resource compilation as well as copies of the presentation(s) I create using these resources. You will have full license to use them freely without restrictions or copyrights.
I don’t know that peaceful resistance will be enough to stop what is coming; however, I believe that, like the founding fathers, it is our duty to try our legal options first. If those fail we may be forced into other less conventional methods of argument; however, until our legal avenues are closed I think we should all become grit in the gears at every opportunity. Show your face. Speak out. Provide information and resources to others who may not have looked beyond the mainstream media. Advocate for your children. Assert your rights as humans. Resist. Do not tolerate evil. Do.

Just asking the simple question, “Why is the State involved in education?” should tell you all you need to know.
Indeed, if the parents already know how to earn a living, can’t the children do the same by leaning from their parents? It would strengthen the bond between them, too.
It is way more than just the “quality of education” it is the environment that you control, it is the increased contact with parents and not strangers, it is the fact that children’s minds are better put to other tasks, because when they are older it is trivial to learn the subjects.

I got her an N99 mask, because that was about the only one that would work, when she came out of the hospital she had a useless paper mask on. I asked her why she had taken off the N99 mask and put on the useless surgical one.
She said the N99 mask wasn’t approved by the hospital. So they made her take it off and replace it with the paper one.

No, money works too. “Money talks, bullflop walks,” as we used to say in NYC, although “bullflop” wasn’t the exact word used. If your children or grandchildren are in a private school, money talks. I have three grandchildren in a bilingual private day school nearby and when speaking with the owner about a possible “Monte Memorial Gym” or library (my preference), I made sure to emphasize that it’d have to be a maskless one with no vax mandate by the school or there would go three full tuitions and let’s see how many other families might go the same way. So far, so good, and in-person classes have begun again without the masks. Yeah, it’s not possible for many, but if it is, or if you know someone for whom it is and might be sympathetic to your cause, well, hold your nose and reach for the wallet.

I’ve read several. I’m competent to understand some of them. I have read commentary on many more by people I believe are competent. That said, it can be hard to know, so I don’t and won’t spend much time in areas that I’m not equipped to defend with confidence.
There is a video I cannot find, it was two woman that worked for osha, mask experts and trainers for business, that said mask are a fraud, it all sounded reasonable, for alot of reasons.
OSHA has always had people who go out to workplaces and do “fit-testing” of respirators. I think there are private companies that do the same. They make sure that people wearing respirators have a tight seal around the nose & mouth (no facial hair) so that all breathed air has to go through the filters rather than seep through gaps around the respirator. A fluid is always going to primarily take the path of least resistance, so if you’re in a hazardous chemical environment and you’ve got the right filter, but there are gaps allowing air to go around the mask entirely … you potentially die because air must be pulled through the filter (the filter is never the ‘path of least resistance’).
This is why a properly sealed N95 could filter out some viruses, but the cloth/surgical masks are (as someone here recently said) as useful as tits on a chicken.

The problem with getting your kid an exemption is one that many parents won’t think about unless they have a more recent memory of being in school. Kids are vicious and when you are one of the only ones not masked you will be targeted because of it. In this particular situation teachers and school admin are going to look the other way while this happens. The kids would make her life hell for being the odd one out.
Exceptions are worth knowing about as a last resort though honestly I would fight the good fight and if you lose pull her out and hire a private tutor. Chances are good your fight will bring out the like minded parents there and the group of you could do the private pod learning style with all of you chipping in to pay for a top end teacher to run classes for your kids. Either pick one of your homes or use several on a rotating schedule. The next step to fixxing it at the local level is run for and get on the local schoolboard.

@Sonic – demonstrate the stupidity of masks by gently spraying a dilute solution of that invisible UV ink in the direction of somebody wearing a mask, on their seats, etc.
Mix a little oil with it so it sticks.

Did your parents (or in laws) take the experimental injection? Makes a difference. If you don’t have to isolate, just don’t. Did you take the EI? There’s a more than 99.8% chance of recovery if you didn’t. Don’t be afraid and don’t comply. Why are you complying? Is it because of rules or just yourself? I am currently isolating because it is our company policy. As an owner I don’t think it is a good idea to violate my own policy. We will likely change our policy, but for now we haven’t so isolated I am. As I told my kids many times. Know the rules, so that when you break them you do it on purpose, not by accident. Break them because you think that is the best thing to do.

I had a conversation with a young 16 y/o at the public library, whose composure and etiquette where quite noteworthy. They had received a GED. And stated they were no longer required to attend high school and that the parents wouldn’t get in any trouble either. This is Illinois. I never did bother to verify this.

In fact, because admin doesn’t have enough on his plate, I’d love it if he’d implement a plugin to allow us to favorite things and/or tag them. That would be epic. Granted I could do the same thing by copying out what I like into a Trello page or something, but I read these at strange times (like waiting in line), so that isn’t always practical. That is really just an excuse though.
I spent two years in undergrad making up for a substandard public school education. I’ve got a PhD in physical/organic chemistry now, and a JD, too, and I got most of my education in spite of public school (they didn’t even offer trigonometry, much less calculus). A friend of mine sent his son to Deerfield for a year, as prep for getting into Princeton, the difference before and after was quite noticeable. So I wouldn’t subject any child to the inferior experience offered in public schools.
You have to have a better option. Remember that part about being out of town for the better part of a month and a half? Hard to home school when you are gone for large chunks of time. Moreover, a big part of this involves dual enrollment at the local university which gives my daughter a big leg up in avoiding college debt. It is not a perfect plan, but it is the best one we could come up with considering all of the options we have.
Daughter old enough to stay home alone? Or could take her with you? Also, dual enrollment is for homeschoolers, too.

Public libraries are shit, they’ve been censored for more than a generation.
At a university library known for research, I had to sort through old books for giving away for various programs and those that should be destroyed for being to0 politically incorrect. They literally had a special dumpster for it. Which means it happened regularly.

Maybe I can help you? I have a file with about 50 articles that I’ve taken from various Internet sites including yours. What I need to do is go through them and characterize them under subtopics. I will be happy to share anything you think is interesting.
My articles are by no means exhaustive and complete. I just save stuff that I think is interesting; and, like you, I am data driven. It is very difficult to go back and find things using the search engine’s unless I can remember the site where I first read the article.
This is how I might breakdown the articles:
pros and cons of Lockdowns – effectiveness
use of therapeutics
CDC Case definitions and guidelines
Testing accuracy, precision, and protocols
“vaccine” testing and performance
Pros and cons and the effectiveness of masks
Fatality, demographics, and comorbidity
I am going to create these sub files and see what articles fall into which categories. I do not want to commit yet, but I will be happy to share any article that I have under any category.
Moreover, just to give you an idea where I am coming from, it is my opinion that right now the two most important topics ignored by the big media outlets are that the “vaccines” are ineffective and may even be responsible for the spike in cases.
And that the CDC recently has abandoned the PCR test. Although it is just my opinion currently, I’m pretty sure most laboratories are still using and mis-using this faulty test.
My purpose in collecting these articles is to accumulate ammunition to counter the daily ever changing, one-sided, false narrative.

And now you are complaining that the new home location does not lend itself to an appropriate or close-by private school? Again, is that right?
We all make mistakes in life and some we have to pay for. Seems you are, now, paying for yours.

BTW, I am a child of a pair of parents who sacrificed to put me and my 3 sisters through a private Christian school. In fact, we all worked together and sacrificed to be sure it got paid for. My dad, a simple maintenance mechanic, worked long hours and weekends so we could attend school. My mother babysat and did sewing and other chores for people to help raise the tuition fees.
It sounds like you are rich and can easily live where you care to. You made a bad decision and a selfish choice.

In my experience fighting the authorities is a losing game. I have spent my life avoiding said apparatchiks and educated my children outside the government system because I did not want them to programmed by dysfunctional leftist liberals. My advice therefore is to avoid your public schools at all cost. But what to do?
As a former business owner myself I ensured that my income was sufficient to allow my wife to pursue her own interests without relying on a double income, as is the norm and necessity today. If that meant home-schooling, so be it. But that was years ago and was much easier in my day.

I think it would be good to address the CDC guidance from March 2020 making doctors & hospitals put Covid on the second line of the first page of the death certificate if there was a positive test. Just look around. Everything is fantasy. The last time I went to see a movie, every single one of the trailers were for movies that were pure fantasy. Every. Single. One. And yes, I am distinguishing between fiction and fantasy.
The mass psychosis is summed up by the idea that if we just say something is true enough times we’ll believe it. And if we believe it then it will become true. Tell that to gravity when you step off a cliff, or to kinetic energy when you step in front of a bus. It is like we are literally swimming in the suspension of disbelief. I’ve felt on numerous occasions that the entire world has turned into a psych ward.
I think it helps to be a critical thinker, and I think it helps more to work in an environment that is concrete and tactile. HSF will tell you that things birth and grow and die in endless cycles without regard to public opinion. That is real.
Who sees real any longer? If you don’t see real, then truth is whatever you want it to be.
