‘It all happened over cheese eggs’: Man says Waffle House waitress pulled gun on him
ATLANTA – It was a frightening moment for a customer after he said a waitress at Waffle House pointed a gun at his head after a dispute over food.
“She was like she will ‘blow my brains out,’” Candy Franklin said.
Candy Franklin said an argument with a waitress over food sizzled out of control early Wednesday morning.
“It all happened over cheese eggs. At first, they didn’t bring them to me. Then they brought me normal eggs and I said that I ordered eggs with cheese on it. I tipped her and everything. It was all a normal dispute over food. I never in a million years thought it would come to gun violence,” Franklin said.
Franklin said it happened at the Marietta Street location in Downtown Atlanta.
“I was looking down at my food making sure it was right and that’s when I just saw people running. I look up and she had the gun at me. I didn’t think she would shoot then she cocked it back. So, I was like maybe she is about to do something. Now, it’s time for me to turn into Rambo and get out of there,” Franklin said.
Atlanta police confirm they are investigating the incident.
“I was fearing for my life because I have been shot before and I just lost a brother to gun violence. All of that was going through my mind,” Franklin said.
A representative from Waffle House said they have received a customer complaint and have launched an investigation.
“No more Waffle House for me. At all,” Franklin said.
As tensions boiled, Franklin is glad things weren’t worst.
“They must have some good eggs and cheese in there. It’s never that serious,” Franklin said.

It couldn’t happen because WH corporate policy for employees is there are no guns allowed in a WH eating establishment.
FYI: in Atlanta I would guess at least one or two workers and a quarter of the patrons are packing a gun.
Funny, I figured it would be the customer pulling the gun and demanding his order be right.
My daughter tells me about some of the special customers at the grocery store. She apparently has a lot of elderly folks who complain about masks, some about having to wear them and others complaining about people who don’t. If they complain too much she kicks them out of the store.
People also like to complain about her wearing a mask, they apparently don’t get the idea that employees either get the jab or wear a mask. I asked about the store mandating the jab and she thinks the cashiers would walk if that happens.
I worked at a Waffle House back in the day for about 2 months and I can easily say it’s the shittiest server job ever. You get paid a server wage and have to do everything. It’s the only restaurant chain that doesn’t have a computer so they have to shout out the order to the line cook and the cooks don’t always hear correctly. There’s no busers, hostess, or cashier so the sever has to wash their own dishes, clean the bathrooms and the floor throughout the shift. Servers have to write up their tickets and calculate them by hand and people who suck at math like to argue about the price.
Seriously, the shittiest restaurant job ever. I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often tbh.

So that’s what the mean when they shout “pull one” — they are talking about a handgun I guess.
It’s not charming for someone earning $2.13 per hour. It’s a huge waste of time.
The inconvenience of not having a computer slows down the server and increases the time it takes for the server to turn the table. Meaning the server has less tables and makes less money.
The customer also can’t check their order was properly given because they don’t know the entire short hand between the server and cook. All they know is “smothered, covered, diced…” or “over easy, scrambled…” That’s assuming the restaurant is quiet enough for the customer to hear it. Most of the time the cook can’t even hear the server unless they scream it because it’s busy and the server is at least 6 ft away while calling out the order.
It’s a retard system that’s outdated.
Wow! Good thing he didn’t order the eggs “covered & smothered” or he might not have lived to tell the tale.
Covered and smothered is the hashbrowns …onions and cheese.
Chimps chimping……it’s what they do. And these are the people PREFERRED by every corporation on the planet at present. Watch any advertisement or in print media, these are the target consumers of every product or service you can name. They are on the pedestal of preferred greatness…..because why????
