I used to believe in elections, but for obvious reasons in both the US and “EU” I now know voting will change nothing.
Apart from a meteor strike – I think the only two things that could actually change the game are:
1) A kinetic war with peer-states, preferably multiple states simultaneously in which the United States and her allies loose; or
2) A Bolshevik-style revolution in the United States or one of her allies.
So all the smaller news stories that aren’t the two above – don’t really peak my interest anymore. “Oh, you want to inject 5 year olds with this shit, ok. Oh, you want to have a tranny running our military? Fine with me. Oh, shortages and high prices. Whatever…”

Two weeks ago I picked up a newly published book —> “the no nonsense meditation book: A scientist’s guide to the power of meditation”.
It’s the type of book one reads slowly so as to absorb the ideas presented. So, I’m only 50 pages in. Loving it.
As a result of reading it, I’ve been contemplating doing a short experiment —> Going Dark For 30 Days.
That means cutting myself off from the world as much as possible. No TV, no radio, no newspapers, and absolutely no internet at all (including participating on TBP).
My entire world would consist of taking care of the house, my mother, and myself … and much time in contemplation / meditation.
I truly wonder what effect it would have on me, both short and long term to cut myself off completely from the constant daily barrage of negative doomy bullshit.
Not knowing a damned thing going on in this doomed world for 30 whole days …. wow, seems like a worthy experiment.
Stucky, you’re right on. Try as you might, though, there are still conversations you’ll catch. I’ve done the 30-day media-free trial and it was incredible. Besides taking care of others, including neighbors, I enjoy sitting out in my garden and watching the clouds, listening to the birds chatter, and counting the pushups the occasional lizard performs on the fence. Breathe in, breathe out. Thank God for this beautiful earth. You’ll find a 30-day sabbatical very regenerating.
Stuck – I had done it before. Only music on the radio, classic vinyl , no more fox biz. We don’t watch tv except to stream a movie or show periodically. Most evenings at home are spent on the deck under the stars with the dogs til winter comes.
But lately I just seem addicted to CONTENT and I find myself looping to the same webs – here, BB, fox, lewrockwell, etc. nit sure what I’m expecting to find.
I think I’ll take this as a sign and try to let go for a while. A friend sent me a copy of epitectus and it will probably do me more good than a heap o alt sites ‘n’ blogs.

My differential equations professor seemed like such a sweet caring Chinese man. He was probably nice to me, because I was one of the few who actually tried to learn it all.
