Death Blow

It’s ironic that the Silent Generation, while benefitting to a degree unprecedented in human history from the sacrifices of its immediate forebears, is also the generation that quietly delivered a killing blow to Western Civilization, a mortal strike whose effects are now, decades later, wreaking havoc.

The Silents, also known as the Lucky Few, never coalesced into a unified political movement, such as occurred with Boomers and the Counter Culture, but nonetheless are credited with a great number of political, technological and social advances. Many of them fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars, endured through the McCarthy era, and developed both rock n roll and the civil rights movement.

Among their achievements was the promotion and near-universal acceptance of a feminist perspective as the primary (and indeed only) lens for viewing structural and social relationships within society. The patriarchy oppressed and abused women for personal benefit. Men enjoyed occupational, financial and sexual freedom while denying them to women for arbitrary and self-serving reasons. Men assumed the privilege of the penis, and refused equal privilege to those lacking that sanctified member. Accordingly, social and legal policy skewed heavily towards feminine concerns more than 50 years ago, and has remained there.

–          Re-orienting to yoni.

The single most devastating consequence for Western Civilization as a result of re-ordering society to the yoni was the demise of marriage as a legally-enforceable contract in favor of a ‘no-fault’ approach to divorce, first adopted in the USA by California in 1969. A rosy and utopian bureaucratic piety (‘the best interests of the child’) along with the unspoken dogma of ‘woman good, man bad,’ became predominant in place of previous considerations: fundamental legal principles, the US Constitution, basic human rights. Family courts multiplied rapidly, and for men attending these star chambers for a harsh lesson in reality, open contempt and visible hatred were and are all too common. Family courts effectively morphed into weapons for women to direct the government’s monopoly on violence against spouses who displeased them.

–          A loaded gun.

And direct it they do, with great effect. Dr. Warren Farrell, in Father and Child Reunion, details the staggering numbers and horrific consequences for men (and children) resulting from the divorce industry. And it’s not just married men who are at risk: in his book Taken Into Custody, Professor Stephen Baskerville writes “…every man with a child has a loaded gun pointing at him, whether the woman chooses to use it or not.”

That loaded gun includes being summarily stripped of children, possessions, income, home, business, savings and other assets without any wrongdoing or due process. It includes for many a  lifetime of financial slavery, extending now to the forced monetary support of children well into their adult years. It includes being falsely accused of sexually assaulting the kids, and being victimized by perjury, theft, fraud, and kidnaping. It includes paying child support for kids fathered by other men. It includes having income ‘imputed’ and being forced to pay support based on that income whether or not it has any basis in reality. It includes the punitive loss of driver’s license and passport, and imprisonment, all without wrong-doing, charges, or trial.

This list is by no means exhaustive. Normal father-child relationships are prohibited and restricted, post-divorce, often to ‘supervised visits’ reminiscent of prisons, or to complete suspension of any contact at all, solely at mom’s behest and with the help of unsubstantiated accusations. Men who fall behind on spousal and/or child support for any reason whatsoever are labelled ‘deadbeat’ and vilified while being punished, their court-imposed debts never forgiven or forgotten. But very few men protest publicly against this malignant and malicious system (with rare exceptions), and the cost of fighting back against the default ‘mom wins’ judgment is too high for all but a very few.

–          The dispossessed.

Tens of millions of fathers over three generations in the West have been dispossessed in this fashion, and many millions currently subsist under abusive, unconstitutional court orders. The effects are obvious – men substantially diminished as independent citizens able and willing to resist the encroachments of all-controlling gov.com. Second-order effects include the inevitable failure of those men to pass on the values, ethics, experiences and knowledge upon which modern civilization is founded. Third-order effects include the newest generation which, lacking those lessons, has fallen prey to delusional constructs of reality.

–          Designated evil.

The productive men who build families, homes, towns, societies, civilization itself, who give their very lives to serve and protect women and children, have been designated evil and denied a meaningful role in the modern world, even as demands on them escalate. The result is predictable, typical of matriarchy, which does not look to or concern itself with the well-being of men, of boys (or even girls), of society and civilization. The visible signs are everywhere –  incels, grass-eaters and MGTOW, falling birthrates, fewer marriages, declining prosperity, ever-greater corruption and abuse by those in power, cougars, MILFs and OnlyFans, the abandonment of propriety, decaying infrastructure, rising homelessness, a paucity of worthwhile mates, a generation of youth which embraces scapegoating, violence, socialism and the totalitarian graspings of giant corporations and invasive government. Add to that near-universal nihilism, the dawning recognition that it’s all coming down.

This is the ultimate legacy of the Silent Generation – an unintentional but nonetheless lethal blow to the jugular of civilization which is playing out today in the western world. Is now the moment for men to finally speak up, to take back the world they built, to stake out a hill and die on it? Perhaps the time for that has come and gone.
