If you’ve not figured it out yet, it’s propaganda, folks. Plain and simple.
This “net zero 2050” propaganda is fabricated on more than the simple gullibility of the sheeple. It is fabricated on the ability of governments to spend with gay abandon.
Sure, you can always bamboozle a populace incapable of thinking for itself, but you need the spending power. The very fact that we’re seeing this insanity is a reflection of the money for nothing environment (zero cost of capital) that has pervaded over the last 10 years or so.
When bond yields are back to trading at generational highs as inflation has ripped through society, then let’s see if we still have any talk of spending trillions.
It is clear these pointy shoes at the UN don’t live in the real world or understand the real world consequences of their pixyland ideals:
“Group of 20 nations need to ramp up commitments on climate finance — and start talking in trillions — ahead of a key summit in Glasgow, a top United Nations official said.
Patricia Espinosa, executive secretary to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said that G-20 countries should be thinking in trillions if they are serious about meeting the Paris accord. It comes after a new report showed that developed countries have failed to reach their target of raising $100 billion a year to poor countries, which threatens to undermine the negotiations known as COP26.”
Don’t worry, folks. The Gods of Inflation will sort all this gumpf out. If history is any indicator, these “elites” as they are called will be dragged out into the streets and given their just servings. Between now and then we’re in for one heck of a bull market in inflation.

In the same vein of thought, when it comes to the Glasgow circus (COP26), it isn’t who attended and what they said… but who DIDN’T attend. Xi, Putin, Erdogan, and Bolsonaro. That is who.

Imagine 100,000 cars at wildwood and you all want to leave on Sunday you will have to wait a month to charge your car, plain and simple. I installed solar because I was bored at my old house, the numbers dont add up, we all will have to pay at least $50,000 a year for energy if they have it there way, and it still wont work.
I have been trying to work out if I can do an off-grid solar system and make it “pay for itself”. Even with using the sealed lead batteries, it seems like it would cut it close if I assumed I got full life out of them and I still don’t think it would run the whole thing except at a loss compared to the co-op.

I installed a 5k system in 2011, it cost me 20k, I saved about $600.00 a year, that being said I was running about 60% efficiency, if i was running at 90% I would have saved $900.00 a year, that was a grid tied system no batteries, the same system today I could install for about $8,500.
The maff still don’t add up even at $8,500, the inverter will need replaced every ten years, the solar panels lose 20-30% efficiency after 15 years, then are shot at 25 years.
It also takes 5 years of electricity to make the panel, I told someone you install solar not to save money but because you care, they had solar and electric cars for over 100 years now.
It never pays for itself the $8,500 could have been invested elsewhere. Maybe if electric double’s in price, you might get a payback, I guess that is the plan anyhow make electric bills skyrocket.
The only car that makes any kind of sense to me is a hybrid only.
It is all 80% fraud.
I completely agree with the hybrid option. My Dad had a Ford C-Max. It only had ~25 (electric) mile range, but that is all he needed on any given day around town. He refueled it once over the summer, and plugged it in when necessary.
I’ve spoken out against the ‘wisdom’ of fully electric vehicles several times. Driving home last night the snowy conditions on the highway were terrible. An ambulance was being rescued in a ditch, facing the wrong way. An electric car? Bring a blanket for each passenger and make sure you are not in the middle of nowhere.

The 20 thousand folks tour with the 400 jets in Scotland was a giant tin cup rattling party to give more money to the UN for their primary goal now TO CHANGE THE WEATHER with the money.
