I missed at least half of it, because I was laughing so hard, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I think a few of us have had this dog at one time in our lives. My worst dog, who is in heaven now, was my favorite dog and I miss her every day. Loved her in spite of her nonsense.

That next to the last one is me – and it should be everyone. That’s how things work. If I don’t believe a law to be just, I will never convict someone for breaking it. It’s called jury nullification and it is legal. As far as facts go, remember the jury is NOT ALLOWED to hear all facts, only the ones the judge approves!
Was going to say something similar. It depends on what the law is. If it’s sane, moral, and Constitutional … fine.
If not, reiterating the law, or the facts, or having “instructions” from the judge, won’t make a damned difference; I’ll be nullifying.
Hell, if it’s a toss up as to the justness of the law; I’ll be presuming it unjust.
Agreed. The only way a citizen can impact the law is:
1) run for political office (if not already fixed)
2) vote (although that has been shown to be questionable)
3) jury duty
That’s true, but on the last case I was sequestered many years ago; me and the guy I had to share a hotel room with, took a curtain hook and made the cable TV work. We already had decided the outcome, so seeing what the news said made zero difference.
