RIP Doctor de Vaca (aka Cow Doctor)
This has happened too many times over the twelve years – losing virtual friends far too soon. It’s always a punch in the gut.
His wife Debbie found my name in his email list and sent me an email to let me know he had passed away from Covid. His last comment on TBP was November 19 and he passed away on November 30. His real name was Donald. He arrived on TBP in December 2019 and immediately became one of our best commenters.
He had a great sense of humor, oozed common sense and wisdom, was never nasty, was clearly a great family man, and was truly a huge positive for the website. He wasn’t all that secretive about his identity, so I think a link to his obituary to honor him is worthwhile.

Deepest sympathy to Doc’s family, he was a good man.
Well dang it. Always enjoyed his writings. He will be missed. RIP.
This is terrible news. He looks as I envision most Burning Platformers look.
This engineered virus will surely reach out and touch us all eventually. Very sad to hear.
He may die of old age, of the flu, of whatever. But of Covid??? HA!!! And look on the bright side, he’s no longer suffering from the insanity that is this world.
I didn’t know him, but enjoyed his posts on Friday Fail.

I will. I have been informed that while ivermectin is pretty safe there are contraindications to taking it for a long time. I have some- human and horse. I took one to see if it affected me (didn’t want to find out if I was sick already).
My motto has long been , if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. This has served me well.
(I don’t really trust vitamins either).

Look , nobody “PASSED AWAY FROM COVID”… corona is very common and is a mild cold – there is no “covid” or any other more virulent form of corona. What do I know I’m a microbiologist who cloned a few corona genes and worked on the sloppy replicase in vitro.

Cow Doc … he was the first TBPer I enjoyed reading regularly, the only TBPer I’ve chatted with in email (except for J. Quinn) and the first comment I ever posted here was to one of his posts in the first Friday Fail I ever read. I can tell his loss is felt here. He surely seemed like a good sort. As I read, I see I’m right. I barely knew him compared to some here … and I will miss him. R.I.P. Cow Doc. See you on the other side.

I learned the following Speculation from a new age sky pilot years ago. For your consideration.
The laws of Physics as we know them today say energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed,
but merely change forms.
So what happens when death occurs and the Soul / Spirit leaves the body?
Assume the soul is pure energy that arrives with the beginning of life.
It would have to have some intelligence and will to be able to make choices to chose a new host body.
Being pure energy, once released from the body it could be capable of traveling at the speed of light.
So when released from the worn out body what might this sphere of pure energy Intelligence chose to do?
Go to another planet where there are no life forms, air or water, or hang around Earth waiting for a new body to inhabit? Now being intelligent and able to make choices it is reasonable to assume that it would prefer to land into a new birth body that it believed would be a good host and move it a little higher up the ladder of evolution.
Not regress into a lower form of animal life for example.
Perhaps this is a possible explanation for some of the phenomenon of child prodigy musicians, genius gifted children of various fields explained by reincarnation? Writing operas, or complex classical music at a very young age.
The child did not get the superior mental gifts from the parents of average intelligence or background.
Obviously some of the selections the soul may make can be negatively influenced by events after birth that are beyond the individuals control from genetic, mental or physical issues, and can be problems of varying severity.
The intelligence operates with free will to make choices resulting from the environment, and we can see lots and lots of examples of really bad, and really good outcome choices. Examples abound.
Just a thought speculation that poses LOTS more questions for sure, but a possibility.
I’m so sorry to hear this and offer prayers for his family.
Sharing the western ranch ethic with Doc, this song came to mind. There is a kinship in those who ranch and farm to be sure.

I am going to miss this genius. There are others here who shared his aim and I count them too as watchmen. The fun-loving yet empirical passion of this TBP contributor was seamless as he contributed resourceful material with energy!
I have inimical distrust of those who have harmed citizens for profit, for coverup, for their agendas; they will not be forgotten.
Doctor de Vaca and numerous others will not be forgotten.
How will we pay respect to them? What memorial will we declare? We decide designating a Memorial for those similar to Doctor de Vaca.
I observe a tremendous amount of lack of Memorials for those we should witness and pay respect to.

Damn, that’s terrible news. I once made the comment that I’d rather go to a vet like him then go to an MD because I’ve lost so much trust in people doctors.
If you go to the hospital with any kind of severe respiratory disease these days whether you really have the Rona or not, chances are you will leave in a body bag.
It so happens I have several cousins that went to Wheat Ridge HS. One of them is his age.
Oh this makes my heart so heavy. May he rest in peace, and may God bless and comfort his family and friends.
