‘270 Doctors’ Called Out Joe Rogan – But Vast Majority Of Authors, Signatories Are Not Medical Doctors

Via Zerohedge

Are you seeing all of those blaring corporate press headlines targeting Joe Rogan this weekend, reporting on a letter from “270 doctors,” which described the famous podcaster as a “menace to public health”? Well, it turns out that the real arbiters of misinformation are the individuals behind the letter itself, and they are being helped along by a corrupt corporate media that is misreporting the credentials of its signatories.

It was first reported by Rolling Stone, with a story titled, “Doctors Demand Spotify Puts an End to Covid Lies on ‘Joe Rogan Experience’”

Yes, the media and Big Tech want to create the image of a hundreds-strong coalition of medical doctors who are genuinely concerned about Joe Rogan’s conversations on his massive platform.

Twitter even got in on the propaganda campaign against Rogan, adding this “medical experts” letter to their curated headlines section.

Well, I reviewed this open letter, and it turns out that only around 100 of the 270+ signatories to the letter are people with qualified medical degrees. And a large chunk of that 100 or so medical doctors are MDs employed at universities who are not in fact practitioners of medicine.

Yet part of the letter reads:

As physicians, we bear the arduous weight of a pandemic that has stretched our medical systems to their limits and only stands to be exacerbated by the anti-vaccination sentiment woven into this and other episodes of Rogan’s podcast.”

Paradoxically, the disseminators of this petition are guilty of the very misinformation label that they’ve attached to Rogan. In fact, neither of the two reported co authors of the letter — Jessica Rivera and Ben Rein — possess medical degrees. Rivera holds a master’s degree and Rein is a PhD academic who researches psychiatry.

The letter denouncing Joe Rogan and pressuring Spotify to censor his speech has all kinds of random signatories. By my count, the letter is signed by over 50 PhD academics, around 60 college professors, 29 nurses, 10 students, 4 medical residents, and even a handful of… science podcasters.

The letter, which uses the word misinformation nine times in five paragraphs, concludes with a call for Spotify to censor Rogan as part of a policy to “moderate misinformation on the platform.”

Notably, there is no information on who or what group is behind the creation and circulation of the open letter. Rivera, the reported lead author of the letter, is associated with the far-left Rockefeller Foundation and The Atlantic, and she is a CNN contributor.

They’re throwing spitballs at a battleship. Rogan is trusted by far more people than the corporate press. These attempts at smearing Joe will only serve to further the precipitous decline of their ratings. How it must gall the corporate bigs squatting in their posh digs to be getting smoked by a pothead working in his basement. Schadenfreude is a beautiful thing. Suffer, you bastards.

The independent thinkers who enjoy Joe Rogan see through this bullshit like it is clear glass. The Covidians read this and say: “See, Joe Rogan can’t be trusted and needs to be canceled.” Which means we are right were we were yesterday.

Playing “my experts” versus “your experts” – who has more, and whose are better – is beside the point. Censorship is bullshit. Rogan’s big following is evidence that many people consider him to be a honest interviewer, one who probes his guests’ positions for weakness.

The good thing is that while censorship and suppression work on maybe 70-75% of people, there are another 20% who dig in their heels. The more you censor, the more I disbelieve whatever you’re saying. And we can be a real burr under their saddle.

Huh. Was reading about this. Malone and Berenson were invited to discuss this and censorship. Supposedly a united front type of topic? Malone cited that these were 270 malcontents. Instead of saying something about censorship, Berenson starts bagging on Malone and IVM. It prompted the host to call a timeout to give Malone a chance to respond. Berenson threw in a snippet about censorship at the end. WTF? Berenson’s substack is confused, because instead of answering their questions as paying subscribers, he doubled down and responded to the Daily Mail, which infuriated some. So much for unification.

Berenson called Malone Controlled Opposition and Malone responded in kind. It all seems controlled and maybe Berenson’s time is up? Most of Berenson’s commenters were cancelling their subscriptions.

Back to yesterday or even farther, indeed. This infighting/”infighting?” won’t help our cause. Sorry for the vent. I’m really slow to trust and this isn’t helping.

Far as I know, Berenson has no reason to go after Malone. Up til now I’ve considered both about equal on my decentpersonomiter (patent pending).

Facts are completely foreign to the leftist agenda and anything they attempt to promote as the truth one should know the lies by omission out weigh anything possibly truthful in anything pushed like the vaccine .

As college graduation neared two of my friends sat at the table in their apartment pondering their future. Was it really over? Those past 4 or 5 years had been the best years of their young lives. Pot, booze, and coeds while attending just enough classes to stay out of academic peril.

As they mourned joining the real world they hatched a plan. Graduate School!

Eventually one graduated, found a job, got married, and started a family. The other also graduated, did the same, and failed on all accounts. He was crashing on a buddy’s couch after his wife tossed him out. Then he decided…yep, back to school.

Last I heard, he is now a Dr of philosophy or something like that, has a job at university filling young heads with mush, and to the best of my knowledge never accomplished anything other than smoking bales of weed and keeping his GPA above the Mendoza Line. But, he thinks college should be free and we should pay his student loans.

Those are the doctors I think of that sign these petitions.

High time this tactic was retired. Pay no attention to it and it’ll go away. Then we can get on with stopping Biden from doing any more damage until we can replace him with the rightful, elected, President.

Rogan is a treasure. Knows what it’s like to get punched in the face. A lot. Can make jokes about it because he’s also a pretty good comedian. Can analyze the angle of the punch to the face because he’s also pretty intellectual. Spent years making MMA a worldwide success by helping neophytes understand what they were seeing. Knows how to relate getting punched in the face to life’s experiences. MMA is actually only a small part of his life. Knows how to handle being a celebrity without destroying himself or being a d*ck.

The trouble is much of what they refer to as science is bad science. Bad science is science driven by the profit motive or for political gain. We need to erode trust in bad scientific research because it is killing us.
