I like Warsteiner Pilsener. But, to be honest, I am a cheap date since I also like Bud light. I know, I know, my husband thinks he married a fake German. We also had the 24-can random assortment of German beer advent calendar from Costco this year, which was fun, trying something new every day.
Fun fact: Pilseners are not German inventions (Warsteiner is a great one though). The Pilsener got its name from the Czech town which spawned it: Plzen.
Plzen makes their own, called Pilsener Urquell, and it’s very light with hints of flower, a very refreshing beer. They sell Urquell at lots of smaller stores nationwide. Try it if you can!
I knew that, but thanks for the tip. I studied in Regensburg, Bavaria, and we sometimes drove to the Czech Republic, where the beer was cheap and the food was even cheaper. The only downside was that you never knew if your car was still there or if it had been stolen overnight.

Whats happening is the numbers of people who are coming out to support the truckers, keep coming out they need US right now. Over passes are filling up… If the truckers cave and merely fizzles I can imagine a lot of those overheads dropping pumpkins.
If the truckers roll into ottawa and block every road and side street for five miles around the parliament buildings so these parasite politicals cannot get out… how long do you think they’ll sit around when they can’t go home, can’t order food, can’t do diddly!!!!
Until the politicals feel some pain nothing will change and this WILL bring the pain.

We are different animal. Counties, states decide at the local level about mandates. That’s why it’s so different around the country. Parliamentary government have a more powerful centralized government to terrorize all their citizens. Ie Canada Oz NZ.
Technically this isn’t true. The provinces are assigned a great deal of power by the Canadian Constitution. I’m not an expert on this but I believe provinces have much more power than do states in the USA. For example, provinces have full jurisdiction of health care. The feds only have a say because they provide funding with strings attached (to make provinces adhere to certain standards such as portability across provinces). So, our central government isn’t as powerful as America’s in terms of constitutional powers. It is true that prime ministers in parliamentary systems don’t have to contend with a separate legislative branch as far as passing laws because the parliament is the legislature.

Yup, fed (and Fed) money is how they control the “sovereign” states here in the US. We need the states to reject that hostage situation to break that power. But state politicians are just as much money grubbing power hungry whores as all the rest, I’m afraid Only full scale collapse is gonna change things, and that’s coming down the pike right quick anyway.
Truckers can refuse to haul into those counties or blue states mandating vax’s and passports… they still hold the same amount of power. They can still bring down the county and state officials, they just have to co-ordinate and agree to NOT haul into those areas.
We are not a different animal. States have only what power the
federalnational government grants them. If D.C. withheld education and highway funds over mandates (any mandates), DeSantis would fold instantly.Canadians are “out-freedoming” us.
Or,some states then just withhold fed taxes(as it should be)and we finally get the show center stage.
As ugly as that would be perhaps beats the alternative.
