I suspect he is right, but even if it is six million extra deaths over the next three years, most people would not notice. In a normal year, about four million people die. Bump that up by two million, and what would we see? How many people do you know that die each year? One? Several? A half dozen? Increase that number by 50% and the most common reaction would be “seems like I’ve seen an extra couple people die this year. Just a coincidence, I guess.” The only way to really notice an extra two million deaths per year is if you are a numbers person and watch the national statistics. Maybe Stalin was right: “One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic.”
Just a guess on my part, but unless you are in the funeral business (or life insurance) you would probably not notice any widely distributed genocide in the US less than ten million extra per year.
