Growing up in Cleveland, there was a large lumber company owned and operated by the notorious local family of criminals … and, every spring, their lumber yard across from a local drive-in would burn to the ground — mysteriously.
It got to the point where the Cleveland Fire Department would even park across the street from the lumber yard — waiting for the word from on high as to the most opportune time for them to ‘arrive’ on the scene — always just in time to declare everything a total loss …
