Inflation doesn’t bother me, I always buy gas worth $20.
I’ve told this story recently, but I’ll tell it again.
I make a pot of New Mexican chili 3 or 4 times every winter.
For many many years all the ingredients cost around $35. Unchanging.
This winter, I made only two because the cost of the first batch had
gone over $75. The next batch a few months later cost over $85.
Gas was around $2 then too. Now it’s $4+.
That is over 100% increase for various food items and gas in just a year.
The 11% increase cited by government is demonstrable bullshit.
Inflation is AT LEAST 100% for most commodities.

Yes, BLS inflation #s are BS. John Williams of SHADOWSTATS is better, but still falls short of what’s going on in the REAL WORLD.

All the giant breed dogs die early too. Our St. Bernard passed at only 9. She was a rescue so we don’t know all about her background, but meanwhile the annoying little shits live forever.
Our Siberian cat is going strong at 18. My husband WISHED she had the life expectancy of a St. Bernard. Those Russians live forever.
Truth! I had a friend that inherited a mean old Chihuahua mix from her mother and the damn thing lived to be about 21.
My beloved Jacob, the Pyrenese, is hanging in there at 11. Thanks be to God.
