I’m reasonably confident the Musk acquisition will fail. In fact, I won’t be surprised if all the current issues are resolved and then the FCC jumps in and blocks it. If true, that just reinforces the impression fake bots are a reality and they’re trolling the adults with the approval of the social media managers.
The AI revolution has progressed much deeper than most realize. Bout 5 years ago an AI robo caller pretending to be my sister attempted a conversation. It sounded like her but something didn’t seem right. After the initial greeting me by my first name and asking me how I was doing,, I asked ” Is this Lisa?. It answered “yes this is your sister Lisa”. It kinda freaked me out cause I could tell it was an AI robo at that point. I told it to fuck off or something, I don’t remember exactly. I can only assume it was an AI in experimental learning mode practicing for future DEEP FAKE agendas. I imagine they are 1000x more advanced now and nearly fool proof.
