It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. It may be that ridicule is becoming the least of their worries….
Why Local Officials Are Facing Growing Harassment and Threats
Local officials have described a weaponization of public records requests, doxxing (maliciously making private info such as home addresses public), and repeated social media harassment that has led, in some cases, to resignation from public service.

Corporate ridicule, or buyer ridicule?
BMW starts selling heated seat subscriptions for $18 a month
In the case of heated seats, for example, BMW owners already have all the necessary components, but BMW has simply placed a software block on their functionality that buyers then have to pay to remove.

One more case of you buy it, but you really don’t own it.
Terms and Conditions
Just like the farm I “own”.
We never really own anything, it’s just an illusion. We possess things for a while and then we die, doesn’t mean we never had them, just that our hold on worldly things is far more tenuous than we imagine.
Stop worrying about the definitions of the words and pay closer attention to the moments.
As I recall, the only difference between the PC XT 286 and the 386 was that the math co-processor on the 286 was disabled.
80286 had no math co-processor (floating point co-processor).
The math co was the 80287.
Separate chip.
Same with the 80386. (Match co was 80387; separate chip)
The 486 was the first CPU to have an integrated math co.
But a bunch that went bad had them disabled, and were sold as the 80486SX (vs. the DX).
You could purchase an 80487 math co, but few boards had a slot to support it.
High end systems had a slot for the Weitek math co (they had been producing math cos for high end systems since the 80286).
I don’t know. An image search might bring an answer.
