If the government hires someone to solve a problem and pays them a good salary with fantastic health and retirement benefits and a great vacation and holiday package; and that person solves the problem then they are out of a job, a real good job.
However if the person manages the problem. instead of fixing it. Keeping it bad but not letting it get worse, and showing that through reports and briefings. Then that person has a job for life. Or as long as they want.
Why do you think that it takes the government years to repair a stretch of road that was originally built the private sector in a few months?
The same reason that “Drs” don’t cure you they manage your illness through pharmaceuticals that they get a kick back on.
