‘Inflation Reduction Act’ Would Make IRS Among The Largest Govt Agencies

Authored by Jazz Shaw via HotAir (emphasis ours),

Tucked away in the hilariously-named “Inflation Reduction Act” that Joe Manchin has been working on with Chuck Schumer is one significant bit of spending that has been mostly flying under the radar. The measure would fund a massive expansion of the Internal Revenue Service to the tune of eighty billion dollars. And we’re not using the word “massive” in a hyperbolic fashion here. This money would go toward hiring an additional 87,000 employees for the detested agency, more than doubling the size of its workforce.

(AP Photo/Jenny Kane)

As the Free Beacon points out this week, that would make the IRS larger (in terms of manpower) than the Pentagon, the State Department, the FBI and the Border Patrol combined. And what do they plan to do with that many people? Do you really need us to tell you?

If Democrats have their way, one of the most detested federal agencies—the Internal Revenue Service—will employ more bureaucrats than the Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol combined.

Under the Inflation Reduction Act negotiated by Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.), the agency would receive $80 billion in funding to hire as many as 87,000 additional employees. The increase would more than double the size of the IRS workforce, which currently has 78,661 full-time staffers, according to federal data.

The additional IRS funding is integral to the Democrats’ reconciliation package. A Congressional Budget Office analysis found the hiring of new IRS agents would result in more than $200 billion in additional revenue for the federal government over the next decade. More than half of that funding is specifically earmarked for “enforcement,” meaning tax audits and other responsibilities such as “digital asset monitoring.”

So this expansion would turn the IRS into an even larger beast than it already is. And we know that it’s also one of the most heavily armed agencies in the federal government. So what do they need all of those people for, not to mention all of the guns and ammo?

Democrats always talk about the need to go after “the top one percent” and make them “pay their fair share.” It’s true that we have quite a few wealthy people in this country, but we don’t have so many that you need more than 150,000 agents to keep an eye on them. No, according to one recent study cited in the linked report, this move is being sought to generate more revenue for the federal government. And the vast majority of that new revenue will come from families earning less than $200K per year. In other words, the middle to upper-middle class. Trust us, the IRS already goes over Elon Musk’s taxes with one hundred fine-toothed combs.

But that’s how they will be getting more revenue. By examining working class people’s tax returns under a microscope, looking for even the slightest error and then slapping them with fines and late-payment charges. And if you don’t pay up quickly enough, the IRS now has more law enforcement officers than the FBI and over five million rounds of ammunition on hand. They’ll get their money.

So what does all of this have to do with “inflation reduction?” Don’t ask me. But the names of new laws in the country stopped meaning anything recognizable long ago, and most of them seem to actually mean the opposite of what the law is intended to do. The devil is always in the details.

Here is a proposition to ponder. If we were not about to lose the Petro Dollar as world reserve currency, would we need an IRS double it’s present size.
We presently use the Petro Schekel Dollar inflation as a WORLD TAX. We only needed the IRS big enough to instil fear in the taxpayers.
Now, without the Petro Schekel we will need the newer bigger and meaner(all those new weapons) to shake you down and pay for stuff with real money earned by you at the Plasma bank before you get home to your tent in the freeway median., after working a 16 hour day and eating McBugs Burgers.

“As the Free Beacon points out this week, that would make the IRS larger (in terms of manpower) than the Pentagon, the State Department, the FBI and the Border Patrol combined. And what do they plan to do with that many people? Do you really need us to tell you?”

Why so big??
They will need it to squeeze us even harder. Hence all those guns.

I don’t think they want the Fed anymore. We are going to soon lose full world reserve currency status and things will be more like they were prior to 71 when you had multiple competing world trading currencies like the French and Swiss Francs, S. A. Rand, the Deutschmark, the USD and Canadian Dollar. However, it will be a dual system. One for world trade and one for us peons that will not be tradable outside the US mainly because it will be junk. Or most likely a chit/voucher/EBT type system. Of course there will be the twin brother of that called a black market.

We are now the expendables. The NWO is moving on. We may very well be kept as a military goon squad with our space programs etc. but we ourselves with own nothing and be very unhappy. Maybe something like Bruce Willis Fifth Element.
Assuming of course that I’m also quite wrong about us being at the beginning of the great tribulation.

They may get them from other agencies being cut back like medicare and social security. Similar to the early years of Fema staffing. Keep in mind that they will not for the most part need to be good at much of anything except in the harassment arm of the agency. They have already instilled enough fear in the populace with tactics like leans on everything you have until you prove in court your innocence. Of course this requires that your kids are alive to finish the courtroon and sentancing phase of the hit job.Whoops I meant case of course. Have I mentioned lately how much I love big brother? I sure hoe I’m up to date on my adoration ritual quotas.

I TOLD YOU SO….

Now, on top of everything else, is a very high likelihood of being harassed by the tax authorities.

Audits are incredibly unpleasant, costly, and time-consuming. Even if all of your accounts are in order and you’ve done nothing wrong, a tax audit monopolizes a tremendous amount of time and money.

It’s debilitating. Say goodbye to actually running your business, growing sales, or spending time with your family on nights and weekends… and say hello to preparing for your tax audit.

Your time will now be spent digging up receipts, finding old contracts, and trying to recall specific details of trivial decisions you made years ago.

Plus you’ll most likely have to pay outside experts to assist with the process, like CPAs and attorneys. And naturally the government does not reimburse you for such expenses. But at least you’ll get to deduct them… from your taxes.

I have bee audited twice many years ago. Both times, I got money back that I had missed claiming. Oddly, no audit in the last 20 years now.

Of course, once I had everything paid for, I cut my income to minimum. Now the government sends me more money than I send them. Socialism sucks but it can be profitable if you play the game right.

One for world trade and one for us peons…

“Chinese money comes by two names: the Chinese Yuan (CNY) and the people’s renminbi (RMB). The distinction is subtle: while the renminbi is the official currency of China, the yuan is the principal (Official/Internationally recognized)* unit of account for that currency.”

So currently, anyone earning over a million a year has their own dedicated IRS employee tracking their every move, maybe more. So why the increase in staff? Ahh yes, those of us who make under 200k need to be put in our place with our tax fraud. Some Republican Congressman was talking about how they will be monitoring our bank accounts for “suspicious” deposits. Something like any cash deposits over $500 may trigger an audit and a visit from one of those 86,000 new agents asking where they money came from. I wonder how many “domestic terrorists” will come out of this when those fuckers start getting shot.

Congress asked the IRS to report on why it audits the poor more than the affluent. Its response is that it doesn’t have enough money and people to audit the wealthy properly. So it’s not going to.

80,000 IRS agents. 300,000 people make over a million a year. Don’t post dumb shit.

It is very time consuming and expensive to audit millionaires. They average around $65k in extra tax whenever they audit one. But…. It is costly to do so. They get around $6,000 for every other audit – and they are easy to do. In fact, they make you audit yourself most of the time.

So, who will these new agents go after? Not sure. But they will rake in a bunch of money.

261 million returns were filed in 2021. 261,000,000/ 150,000 agents = 1,740 cases per agent.

Based on IRS audits done last year with 70k agents …. it seems IRS agents average under 20 audits per agent, per year.

IOW, most Americans won’t be audited. Just don’t do anything stupid. Like claiming the $9,300 you spent at Svarga’s Whore House as a “charitable” contribution.

1,100 rounds per firearm. If you spend a couple of hours a month training at the range you could easily use 300 rounds a month. So it’s not out of the question that they would need that much. But the question is, do they all do that much training, or even half of that on average?
I would hope that they do. But I highly doubt that they do.
However whether or not the IRS should have armed officers, is another question, and I don’t think that they should. If they needed to have a armed contingent then they should have retained the ATF in the Treasury Department.

Or maybe they need to double the size of the IRS to have them onboarded in time to seamlessly replace all the agents that they expect will die or be disabled in the next few years because of the Regime’s injection mandates.

Interagency transfers for one. They do it often enough to have it down pat. Also they only need goon squads to scare people so that when they announce you are having your funds frozen a lien put on your property you will be reluctant to challenge them because it will take years and tons of money you can’t access to pay for court proceedings. You’ll agree to pay a heavy fine instead.

It was Joe’s former ‘partner-in-crime’ in the dark years of our Nation (’09-’17) that really expanded the purchases of all sorts of firearms as well as more than 2,000,000,000 (yes, 2 Billion) rounds of ammunition … and, as here, a lot of it was going to dipshit government offices of little importance — let alone a need for such an arsenal.

One of the true purposes, of course, of that gun/ammo grab was to have fewer guns and rounds of ammo available in the marketplace … you know, where We The People get to exercise what’s left of our 2d Amendment Rights.

That window is being closed — sort of a ‘death by a thousand cuts’ situation … whether it’s measures like these or States that forbid selling guns and/or magazines that hold more than 10 rounds (these laws need to be severely attacked in Court) … to the red flag laws so many deep blue States are passing …
