A new peer-reviewed study found that regular use of ivermectin reduced the risk of dying from COVID-19 by 92%.
The large study was conducted by Flávio A. Cadegiani, MD, MSc, PhD. Cadegiani is a board-certified endocrinologist with a master’s degree and doctorate degree in clinical endocrinology.
The peer-reviewed study was published on Wednesday by the online medical journal Cureus. The study was conducted on a strictly controlled population of 88,012 people from the city of Itajaí in Brazil.
Individuals who used ivermectin as prophylaxis or took the medication before being infected by COVID experienced significant reductions in death and hospitalization.
According to the study, those who took ivermectin regularly had a 92% reduction in their COVID death risk compared to non-users and 84% less than irregular users.
“The hospitalization rate was reduced by 100% in regular users compared to both irregular users and non-users,” the study stated.
The impressive reduction for regular ivermectin users was evident despite the regular users being at a higher risk for COVID deaths. The regular users were older and had a higher prevalence of type 2 diabetes and hypertension than irregular and non-users.
Irregular users of ivermectin had a 37% lower mortality rate reduction than non-users.
The study defined regular users as those who used more than 30 tablets of ivermectin over five months. The dosage of ivermectin was determined by body weight, but “most of the population used between two and three tablets daily for two days, every 15 days.”
“Non-use of ivermectin was associated with a 12.5-fold increase in mortality rate and a seven-fold increased risk of dying from COVID-19 compared to the regular use of ivermectin,” the study read. “This dose-response efficacy reinforces the prophylactic effects of ivermectin against COVID-19.”
Cadegiani believes the study showed a “dose-response effect” – which means that increasing levels of ivermectin decreased the risk of hospitalization and death from COVID-19.
Cadegiani wrote on Twitter, “An observational study with the size and level of analysis as ours is hardly achieved and infeasible to be conducted as a randomised clinical trial. Conclusions are hard to be refuted. Data is data, regardless of your beliefs.”

Love hearing about your trip, but you forgot to tell us about the men there. Did you notice any or were there only women??
Did you make any of the women laugh with your jokes? When a woman laughs & touches your arm at the same time…you know what that means, right??
Laughing, touching (of the ARM), hair flipping, eye-contact, smiling…and you’re golden. Remember that.
I stopped reading at “I was dead…” Doesn’t appear to be uplifting prose. Oh wait, it is something religious I think. Could still be uplifting.
Probably written by some dude that was touched one too many times on the arm by a laughing woman and keeled over.
You are cracking me up, Svarga. 🤣
Now you tell us …
A woman did that to me back in 2001 … someone said she just had a tic … she even followed me around for about an hour …
OMG … did I miss the love of my life?
Is that your current wife who told you the tic explanation?
And, yes, you probably did.
Not a wife in sight since ’03 … though our marriage had fallen apart in ’81 after my 2d bout with cancer (I was 33 years old) … this was an extraordinary woman I met and fell in love with in the end time of our marriage … and, somehow, I let her get away even after my divorce finalized …
She was — is — the love of my life … I’ve since met other women, but none quite like her …
Drat …
Go try to find her!
Could be quite different if you met her again now. I ran into an old friend a few years ago who I have thought about over the years, what could’ve been or should’ve been, and when I met him again he had turned into the dullest, shallowest and super-materialistic guy with a beer belly and without any humor or interesting stories to tell. Was good to get that guy out of my mind.
Anthony…sad to say, but yes, you missed out. You need to be more observant next time.
I see only white beautiful women in the advertising in that last pic.
Cool pics. Keep sharing for us little people living in the hood.
What does that mean? I do that all the time.
😂 Um…to your husband, or everyone?
Everyone.
I look at buildings from the past 30 or 40 years here in the United States … most of them won’t be here in another 30 or 40 years … the only part of the United States that will be here in 400 years are the windmills that stopped working in 2025 and didn’t get torn down …
American women are angry and depressed because from day 1 they are propagandized that they are the same as men, and if they don’t want to be like men, there is something wrong with them. Simultaneously, they are propagandized that their chief value is to be sexually appealing and readily available to men. Biological urges to nurture the young and create a comfortable nest are considered hopelessly old fashioned if not denied outright by the popular culture that surrounds them. In fact, killing their own offspring in utero is considered pretty cool in some quarters.
As far as the culture as a whole, Scandinavians have enjoyed the reduced societal stressors that come with the “strength of diversity.” I expect that to be changing soon.
“American women are angry and depressed…”
Yes! What the hell?? Many are on drugs and are so angry that they’ll kill you if they thought they could get away with it.
White traditional women are the enemy of this country. As are white men. We have no country here for us. Strangers in a strange land.
A perpetual feast! Beautiful.
I have that EXACT same toaster in the last pic!
Wow. They really nailed that description.
WTF does these comments have to do with Ivermectin?
WTF is wrong with you?? We have one of the top commentators of this blog treating you to his travelogue and his experience in white culture…that has EVERYTHING to do with what we discuss daily on this blog.
If you cannot handle that, then move right along.
Basically, oldvet, the lead story however validating, is something most here should already know about.
I’m glad I scrolled to see arch pics and commentary.
OK, I think I understand now. I’ll stay away from this blog from now on. I was just curious about what others thought of the NIH now approving for Covid treatment what the liberals call horse paste. I had no idea this was a private blog. Sorry.
I’m gonna get dv or crickets, but I hope you stay. This site is a wealth of information. Your choice though, vet.
This isn’t the first time that a comment thread’s gone off topic, and it won’t be the last.
It happens
I’m with Abby on this one, even though kinda harsh to the old Vet.
Good point about the Ivermectin knowledge and awareness by most of the gang round here.
AP has done us a worthy contribution of visual delights and a verbal description of a
rare, gratifying experience of another culture.
~One in stark contrast to most of the rest of western civilization.
I, for one among a few others, appreciate the effort required to share such an experience on these pages.
His description of the women reminded me of my time spent in Paris and Dijon about 25 years ago.
Back then, I’d routinely see older gals dressed and presenting themselves as distinctly feminine. Think: short skirts, heels, nice hair.
I’ll spare you the details about the frog men and their reluctance to use deodorant,
and their loathing of Americans.
A few years later, it was a trip to Hameln, Germany. Friendly people. Cleanliness everywhere.
My, my. How things have changed since then. And, not for the better, unfortunately.
Anyway,
Bravo, friend.
Well done, AP.
Hey … some of US old folks (I’m 75+) appreciate your sharing … try not to color all of us with the same brush stroke …
I’m envious of your trip … sounds like an amazing experience …
Love is love.
I’m not surprised. The number of studies showing ivermectin’s efficacy is overwhelming.
The one thing that puzzles me is why most of the dosing is periodic rather than daily. Why dose multiple tablets every 15 days?
I’ve been taking 6 mg/day daily for the past 2 years and have not had COVID-19. Also taking 100 mg of hydroxychloroquine daily. And Zinc, copper, C and D as well as some other nutraceuticals. Naturally, this proves nothing by itself. I’m just a single individual. Moreover, my wife has taken nothing whatsoever and she too has not had COVID-19.
We have both had the Pfizer vax; but that effect has long worn-off and no longer provides any protection. From what I’ve read about side-effects of the vax I see it as pointless. One would have to be boosted 3 or 4 times a year for partial protection. Following that protocol, one accumulates exposure to the side-effects of the vax for only modest benefit.
I would much rather do everything I can to maintain my immune system using everything that might help rather than accumulate exposure to the vax which undermines my immune system.
“I’m just a single individual. Moreover, my wife … ”
So — which is it — are you single — or do you have a wife? You’re confusing me … which, admittedly, isn’t all that difficult …
Hopefully the IVM has cleared the spike protein from the PFE jab out of your system — something that is being strongly advised by a number of physicians and medical researchers. Keep it up … getting that spike protein out of your system is a positive step …
Looks like heaven. Except, for me, not waking up next to Svarga…I’m sure she would agree as well. 😂
I went to Six Flags yesterday. Let’s just say that the sights and the people were pretty much the polar opposite of the above.
Did you expect otherwise?
Your ride has nothing on Tim’s on July 4th. You need to negotiate better, smile more or touch more arms at the car rental place. (Glad you enjoyed it though. Nice color of the vehicle)
Btw, I drive a standard every day. Because I enjoy manually shifting sticks.
😂 Lol.
That was all my wife’s doing. When she goes full Karen, you never know what she can pull off!!
Haha. Puh-leeeeze. I thought you swore off alcohol?
I have a $15 state of the art 12 cup coffee maker from Target at home, back when Target still existed.
I do own a Bavarian style dirndl. Thought it was inappropriate to wear to the celebration of the birth of the US in July.
Seriously, Archie? You deleted them?? They were FUNNY! Svarga was THISCLOSE to touching your arm…and you blew it. SMH.
I know, right? WTF?! Oh well. Forever etched into my memory, where it can never be erased, not even with the stroke of a keyboard, until the day I die.
Clearly, he is not thinking straight.
In Germany we would wake up with great black ones the size of your fist crawling on everyone and everything.
If you do not mind me asking, what inspired your trip to Norway?
It’s as if those Norwegians lived in a future time … or they just read ahead somewhere …
Thats me… except the colorful… Pretty much is the description of my work too… Hack away till it fits… then fill the bits where there shouldn’t be empty spots…
I
That could be either a red snail (Arion rufus) or a Spanish snail (Arion vulgaris). Looks like a red snail to me. Good for you to photograph it, because it might not be there any more in 25 years. They are native to the majority of mainland Europe, while the Spanish snail is an invasive species that has overtaken the snail population and led to the near disappearance of the red snails. The Spanish, aka brown snails, procreate like there is no tomorrow, and were first seen in Germany in the 1960s, then later (due to limited commerce) in Eastern Germany, then in the 1970s in Northern Germany and Denmark, in 1988 in Southern Norway, 1990 in Finland and in the last two decades in Estland.
With the snails, it’s almost like there is a replacement type migration from South to North in Europe…
AP, Thanks for sharing the pictures. Glad you had a relaxing time.
Lol, the doobleveycey. Don’t ask to go to the bathroom. You might be given strange looks and a towel, according to my French teacher
