Caught in a Trap: We Can’t Go On Together With Suspicious Minds

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

A few months ago, one of my offspring texted and asked if I had read or heard anything about the new Elvis movie that was playing in theaters at the time. When I said “no”, they responded back that they had seen the film, that it was very good, and these words: “I didn’t know Elvis was that big of deal back then”.

So allow me some latitude as I’m going somewhere with this…

In my mind, I thought: “Really? How could my kid not know? Elvis Presley was considered the “king of rock and roll”.

On the other hand, maybe it wasn’t so odd. After all, Elvis music was not played around my kids when they were growing up; and I, personally, have only considered the man, vaguely, as an American historical icon.

I considered my own cognitive associations involving Elvis:

– My dad had some Elvis gospel and Christmas albums.

– I have heard most of Elvis Presley’s songs at one time or another.

–  I eventually learned that many Elvis songs were first performed by other musicians and blues singers.

– I had seen portions of various Elvis movies while surfing through TV channels, as well as some segments of an early 1980s (or late 1970s?) documentary which ran years later on HBO (or another premium cable TV channel like HBO).

– My sister-in-law was always a huge Elvis fan, even to the point of placing Elvis figurines and pictures in her home. She is fifteen years older than me and once when the topic came up, I asked her if she had ever seen the aforementioned documentary and the segment where Elvis was in the back of a limousine referencing his after-show “adventures” with a female fan the night before.  My sister-in-law replied:  “Yeah, I saw that too. I know he was like that but I don’t choose to remember him that way”.

– When I was in my early teens I would sometimes stay at my cousin’s house. He was my age and lived in a large American city. One day, during a week I was there, his older sister (i.e. my female cousin) and her two teenage girlfriends had tickets to attend an Elvis concert. They spent most of the day getting ready, trying on outfits, putting on make-up, and monopolizing the bathrooms. I remember my Aunt giving me a wide-eyed look of exasperation and exclaiming: “It mystifies me how those girls can spend seven hours getting ready for a two-hour concert!”   And I’m fairly certain that was the first time I had ever heard the word “mystifies” spoken in a sentence.

– Then the relatively large impact on American society after Elvis died in 1977.

– And, finally, the bizarre performances of Elvis impersonators. I can understand why cover singers would perform some of the Elvis songs, but do they really need to dress, talk, and act like him too?

If that’s all that came to my mind when I thought of Elvis, then I suppose it is understandable that today’s young adults might not fully realize the emotional impact Elvis made on the generation(s) preceding mine.

A short time after the text exchange with my kid, I read that Elvis Presley’s previous wife, Pricilla, and his daughter, Lisa Marie, liked the film. I found that interesting and was actually a little surprised.  In fact, I was now somewhat curious about the movie knowing it was produced and filmed in such a way that it earned the endorsement of Presley’s ex-wife and daughter.

After doing some cursory research on the film, I learned it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2002, it was released in the U.S. the following month, and was said to be a critical and financial success.

Knowing all that, but primarily upon the recommendation of my progeny, I decided I would see the film and asked my wife to join me when we found the time.  Unfortunately, we never did find the time to see the movie in our local theater before Elvis had left the building, so to speak.

As luck would have it, however, National Cinema Day occurred over this past Labor Day weekend and a nearby theater was playing a re-release of the film.  Even better, the tickets were only $3 each.

Sold. We saw the show.

However, I never expected the movie to be an ominous morality tale that is particularly pertinent to our current life and times.

The opening scenes showcased the sexual carnality of a couple dirty dancing to blues music and contrasted with the rapturous emotionalism at a gospel tent revival.  In my view, the comparison was a metaphor demonstrating the duality dividing through the heart of not just young Elvis Presley, but within all individuals and societies.

Colonel Tom Parker was played by Tom Hanks who creepily performed the role of a parasitical carnival barker slowly draining the vitality of Elvis, who Parker perceived as the “Greatest Show on Earth”.  Overall, however, the film portrayed Parker as a cleverly clownish carny milking the “marks” of their money at every opportunity.

Furthermore, if the revelations in the movie are accurate, then Parker was an indebted grifter operating under a false identity and, therefore, easily blackmailed by government agents and gangsters. As a result, he, in turn, gaslighted Elvis into becoming a never-ending meal ticket, first, as a controversial rock singer, later as a B-movie star and, eventually, as an overweight, burnt-out Vegas showman.

Elvis wanted to innovate and grow and make his own decisions, but Parker didn’t think these would be in his (Parker’s) best interests, so security dangers were manufactured. The threats allowed Elvis to be easily gaslighted into choosing safety over his own freedom; and all the while being drugged to mitigate his ever-increasing mental anguish.

The movie addressed the early childhood of Elvis through his death in 1977 and the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were sympathetically addressed in the film, but NOT the murder of President John F. Kennedy.  It wasn’t even mentioned once; neither was the controversy surrounding Presley’s courtship of Priscilla Beaulieu when she was only 14 years old; in spite of their relationship being a main element of the film.

Peculiar? Perhaps.

Regardless, throughout his career, Elvis lacked the insight and courage to free himself from Parker’s spell until, in time, the singer was transitioned into an obese and befuddled puppet caught in Parker’s financial trap.

Sound familiar?

In the same manner as Tom Hank’s portrayal of Colonel Tom Parker, establishment authoritarians around the globe have indebted themselves to central banking gangsters and have, in turn, gaslighted naive citizens into becoming drug-addled wage slaves lacking both the insight and courage to break free from their mental chains.

As a result, and similar to the Shakespearian tragedy of Elvis Presley’s life and death, it appears the direction and momentum of current world events are speeding toward a conclusion as inevitable as any snuff film.

For more than a century now, Americans have been gaslighted by materialistic carnival barkers into accepting all that glitters.  And every Big Show must have a grand finale. Accordingly, since 2016, we seem to have entered America’s sordid Vegas years and just prior to the tragic ending.

The dreamweavers continually cast spells; and, for us, it is like watching a movie but with genuine consequences. Indeed, we have witnessed continuous gaslighting over the past several years: Russiagate, Ukrainegate, banana republic impeachment trials, Covid, the 2020 Presidential Election as the “most secure election in American history”, and the ensuing January 6th “insurrection”.

Now, American law enforcement institutions have been weaponized to the point of raiding the home of a former U.S. president.

The FBI invasion into Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort occurred on August 8, 2022.  Three days later, a suspect was shot dead after attempting to break into a Cincinnati FBI field office. According to the news headlines, the suspect’s name was Ricky Shiffer and, he definitely appeared to hit all of the right notes:

Officials are investigating Shiffer’s ties to the US Capitol riot and right wing extremism as he appears to have claimed that he was present in Washington on 6 January on Truth Social, a pro-Trump social media site.

Federal agents were already looking into Shiffer’s ties to the Capitol attack before the FBI standoff, the New York Times reports.

Shiffer also appeared to support Donald Trump’s unfounded claims of a stolen election in 2020 and responded to social media posts by pro-Trump figures such as congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump Jr.

His social media posts made reference to the FBI’s search at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida on Monday.

SOURCE

A few days afterward, I posted an article that stated “everything seen or heard in The Really Big Show® is a lie”.

The next day, in the thread of that post on another website, I speculated  on the real reason behind the Trump raid as follows:

The FBI and DHS have observed since the Aug. 8 raid an increase in threats posted online that include a “threat to place a so-called dirty bomb in front of FBI Headquarters and issuing general calls for ‘civil war’ and ‘armed rebellion.’”

SOURCE

So, it appears, after the Covid deception and the 2020 election debacle, increasing internet censorship, the re-energizing of the liberal base by SCOTUS reopening the abortion debate, rising inflation, billions to Ukraine, blue-collar workers taxed to pay for the gender studies degrees of woke Snowflakes, the Afghanistan debacle, invasion at the southern border, and MAGA candidates winning election primaries…. it has become quite clear as to why “Dark Brandon” officially declared war on 70+ million MAGA voters in his “red rant” address to the nation on Thursday, September 1, 2022:

The day after Biden’s diatribe, the propaganda machines were set for maximum output:

By Friday afternoon, posts on forums popular among white supremacists and far-right extremists called for the assassination of Biden, and named Jewish administration officials including Attorney General Merrick Garland, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas as potential targets. Declarations of civil war were also appearing, according to documents detailing some of the threats.

“On Gab, one user posted a series of violent threats accusing Biden of stealing the election,” according to a threat alert from Site Intelligence Group sent to law enforcement agencies and others on Friday. Trump and many of his supporters have long claimed, without evidence, that the 2020 presidential election won by Biden was stolen from Trump due to widespread voter fraud.

Site Intelligence Group, which tracks online extremism activity, issued several threat alerts detailing calls for violence in response to Biden’s speech. The potential threats were posted in online forums tied to the Proud Boys, neo-Nazis and other extremist groups.

SOURCE

As I have previously posted, and as others out here on the free internet have also speculated, it appears the groundwork for a big fat false flag has been laid – quite possibly, even a hit on Dark Brandon himself.

Or perhaps the FBI planted plans for a dirty bomb at Mar-a-Lago.

Whatever the false flag, would you be surprised if one (or more) took place soon? Me neither. The blame, of course, would be placed on MAGA “extremists” and it would simultaneously address multiple current problems for the globalist carnival barkers – especially if the psyop occurred prior to the U.S. Midterm Elections this fall.

Conclusion

In the end, the Greatest Show on Earth is not the one we see. It is, in fact, the gaslighting that emanates from behind the stage. Just as Colonial Tom Parker tricked Elvis into choosing safety over the singer’s better judgment, so, too, do modern-day carnies deceive the “marks” into playing their fool’s game.

In the latest film version of Elvis Presley’s life, and, seemingly, in reality, Elvis and Colonel Parker had a mutually dependent relationship rooted in the materialistic desires of greed and security.  Parker gave himself credit for the success of Elvis and the singer, in response, considered the Colonel as a protector, of sorts, overseeing the minutia of the daily grind; and the devil was always in the details. In a twisted fashion, the two even appeared to have an affection for each other as Parker parasitically profited from the relationship and as Presley was “protected” (wink, wink) from threats near and far.

And when Elvis grew suspicious of Parker, that’s when the king of rock and roll fully realized exactly how owned he was: and the more Presley tried to pull away, the more Parker gaslighted. Of course, the gaslighting was only necessary because Elvis had free will; but the singer chose not to reclaim his surrendered natural rights out of fear, or complacency, or both.

In like fashion, American’s have experienced safety over freedom gaslighting on many occasions:  In the last quarter-century alone, we’ve seen 911 and the War on Terrorists, Saddam and Weapons of Mass Destruction, the Evil Trump against Progressive America, mandates versus the COVID virus, the bully Putin invading Ukraine, and, now, the New Normal Americans against MAGA extremists.

Over and over, it’s always the same old trick dialectic: Love Big Brother and accept his protection from the imaginary Emmanuel Goldstein that is sneaking up from behind, or hiding just ahead, and around every corner, near and far, at home and abroad.

We’re caught in a trap. We can’t get out. And we can’t go on together with suspicious minds.

Neither would I have ever suspected that the “communists” who seek and gain power are never really communists.

“The Seven Social Sins are:

Wealth without work.
Pleasure without conscience.
Knowledge without character.
Commerce without morality.
Science without humanity.
Worship without sacrifice.
Politics without principle.

From a sermon given by Frederick Lewis Donaldson in Westminster Abbey, London, on March 20, 1925.”

You think they might have been happy with the glory and the fame…

The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth – that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community – and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.”

The rules were precise and invariable. Money attracted money, accumulating always in the same places, going by preference to the scoundrelly and the mediocre. When, by an inscrutable exception, it heaped up in the coffers of a rich man who was not a miser nor a murderer, it stood idle, incapable of resolving itself into a force for good, however charitable the hands which fain would administer it. One would say it was angry at having got into the wrong box and avenged itself by going into voluntary paralysis when possessed by one who was neither a sharper nor an ass.
It acted still more strangely when by some extraordinary chance it strayed into the home of a poor man. Immediately it defiled the clean, debauched the chaste, and, acting simultaneously on the body and the soul, it insinuated into its possessor a base selfishness, an ignoble pride; it suggested that he spend for himself alone; it made the humble man a boor, the generous man a skinflint. In one second it changed every habit, revolutionized every idea, metamorphosed the most deeply rooted passions.
It was the instigator and vigilant accomplice of all the important sins. If it permitted one of its detainers to forget himself and bestow a boon it awakened hatred in the recipient, it replaced avarice with ingratitude and re-established equilibrium so that the account might balance and not one sin of commission be wanting.
But it reached its real height of monstrosity when, concealing its identity under an assumed name, it entitled itself capital. Then its action was not limited to individual incitation to theft and murder but extended to the entire human race. With one word capital decided monopolies, erected banks, cornered necessities, and, if it wished, caused thousands of human beings to starve to death.
And it grew and begot itself while slumbering in a safe, and the Two Worlds adored it on bended knee, dying of desire before it as before a God.

Presley’s father, Vernon, was of German,[11] Scottish and English origins.[12] Presley’s mother, Gladys, was Scots-Irish with some French Norman ancestry.[13] His mother and the rest of the family believed that her great-great-grandmother, Morning Dove White, was Cherokee.[14][15][16] This belief was restated by Elvis’s granddaughter Riley Keough in 2017.[17] Elaine Dundy, in her biography, supports the belief.[18]

It doesn’t take more than a quick search to see that there is another headstone with both a star of david and cross. Whether she was actually jewish or whether it was because Elvis had a fetish for jewish things (again, a quick search), I don’t know. It may or may not be symbolic that the actress who played his mother in this movie is jewish.

Note that Elvis was Pentecostal and they’re taught that Jews are the chosen and anything they do to bless Israel , God will bless them. Although, he did make a small headstone for his mother that had both the Six Pointed Star and the Cross , they’re is no evidence Elvis was Jewish .
comment image?quality=90&webp=true&fit=975,649

“We have photos of Elvis wearing the necklaces, and the headstone is on display at Graceland. However, lacking any documentation of a Jewish ancestor in Elvis’ past, I have to conclude that maybe he just liked the imagery. He had a lot of Jewish connections in his life, so he would easily have been exposed to the symbols. There was an orthodox Jewish family that lived upstairs from the Presley family that they were very close to. Elvis actually worked as a “Shabbos goy” for the family, which is a non-Jew that assists an orthodox family with simple tasks such as turning lights on and off or lighting the stove, tasks that observant Jews are forbidden to do on the Sabbath. A job he could not have done, and would not be allowed to do, if he was himself Jewish.

Elvis surrounded himself with Jews in his personal and professional life. His best friend, George “GK” Klein, was Jewish. His “spiritual advisor” Larry Geller was Jewish and was said to have introduced Elvis to the Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism, and the chai symbol. Even Larry Geller confirmed that Elvis did not believe he was Jewish in his biography entitled Leaves of Elvis’ Garden:

“After a moment of silence, Elvis regained his composure and looked up from the Bible he was holding in his lap. ‘What’s wrong is… I’m not Jewish like you. Lawrence, the Jews are the chosen people. How can I be a channel and an inspiration, how can I attain the highest level and be of help to others if I’m not one of the chosen?'”

Elvis surrounded himself with many Jewish agents, songwriters, and hangers-on throughout his life. He was quoted as saying that he “didn’t want to miss out on heaven on a technicality,” so maybe he was just covering his bases.”

It was here that Elvis was first exposed to the rich, Southern gospel that became a staple of his musical repertoire. According to Assembly of God minister, Brother Frank Smith, Elvis was fascinated with music and the prospect of learning to play the guitar.

Brother Frank taught Elvis how to make D, A, and E chords…all he needed to play “Ole Shep”. Today, visitors can experience the Assembly of God Pentecostal services of the 1940s through a rich multimedia presentation.

The plain, humble, wood-framed structure will greatly contrast with the lively and intense nature of the sermons and the music. Guests will experience the preacher walking about, the choir filled with the spirit, and the congregation swaying to the rhythm of inspiring praises.

Elvis never realized his dream of becoming a member of the Statesmen or the Blackwood Brothers gospel quartets, yet throughout the rest of his life, Elvis recorded many of the beloved songs of his youth, the emotional and uplifting music of the church.

Very nice, thought out article.
There is hope, and that lies in the fact not everybody is fooled by all this, though many of the world are living a life of delusion, and that has always been the case. A larger population, a larger amount of delusional people, more opportunity for the actions of these people to connect with your own personal life, and maybe swept up into it.
One needs to examine themselves.
‘ In them indeed is [f]the process of fulfillment of the prophecy of Isaiah, which says: You shall indeed hear and hear but never grasp and understand; and you shall indeed look and look but never see and perceive.

For this nation’s heart has grown gross (fat and dull), and their ears heavy and difficult of hearing, and their eyes they have tightly closed, lest they see and perceive with their eyes, and hear and comprehend the sense with their ears, and grasp and understand with their heart, and turn and I should heal them.

But blessed (happy, fortunate, and [g]to be envied) are your eyes because they do see, and your ears because they do hear.’

The best book I have ever read about the impact of mass media on American culture and morality is The Rise of Selfishness in America by James Lincoln Collier. Collier is a music historian who originally set out to write a book about the history of jazz music but instead realized he was chronicling the decline of American morality and the rise of selfishness and narcissism so he changed direction on his project and produced the book with the link below. And it still contains a good overview of the history of popular music in the USA.

After reading this one can see that Elvis was just one aspect of a larger – and almost methodical and purposeful – program to destroy the cohesion of American society through the destruction of religion.

BTW I always remember in my grandparents home in Tennessee back in the late 60s / early 70s that Johnny Cash was The King.

I had read some time ago (can’t remember where) that back in the 1960s the UK think tank Tavistock invented British youth culture to destroy the Trades Union Movement and effect the country’s transition to a de-industrialized society. To do this the youth had to be separated and “alienated” from the adults and Tavistock used American rock ‘n roll as their model creating such things as The Rolling Stones (where one student named Mick Jagger was pulled from the London School of Economics to front the project) and later contracting The Beatles mid-career to their mission. Had there been a viable Trade Union Movement as the UK de-industrialized the people would have overthrown the monarchy.

What a friggin’ perfect psyop of epic proportions. ‘Select’ a man like Trump to become POTUS to divide the right. Keep him around to keep the party going and to continue to ramp up the anti-MAGA movement and build it to a crescendo, all the while keeping ‘The Great Reset’ moving along until they are ready to trigger the final events that lead to their 2030 plans. Program about 30% of the population through isolation and fear until they are all have mass formation psychosis so they will do anything and listen to anything they are told.

Keep American Patriots in the gulag for going on 2 years for misdemeanor trespassing, not giving them a due process and letting POS criminals out of jail in 11 months (for a multitude of felonies) like the guy arrested last night in Memphis for killing 4 and wounding many more.

It’s the same form of contradictory thinking that gave Elvis a celebrity’s popularity pass for his character and judgement flaws. Moral relativism is a slippery slope and different people will have varying tolerance levels and limits when it comes to socially acceptable behaviors.
I truly think many people don’t truly sit down and examine the foundations for their individual beliefs because they’re prone to suggestion and outside influence that will corrupt their values and standards.

The article also shed some illumination on the Generation Gap, perceptual differences, and how tolerance for personal behavior has changed as time goes by.

All I have to say is time may pass, but God’s Word is eternal.

I used to work about a half mile from Graceland and saw all the kooks who would come to town in August to celebrate his death anniversary. Very enjoyable read and loved how you were able to tie the two concepts (the Elvis story and our current quandary) together seamlessly.

I watched Baz Luhrmann’s film with the kids the other night and found it very enjoyable despite the obvious racial pandering and Tom Hank’s appalling interpretation of the Colonel- Werner Herzog would have killed that role had they cast him instead, but you get what you get.

I always found Elvis to be a tragic character throughout his career and I think that’s what his greatest appeal was. You just wanted to look out for the poor guy, always surrounded by parasites feeding off of him. He certainly had a good voice and he always seemed to be the kind of guy who’d give you the shirt off his back and most Americans of that era related to that kindness and generosity of spirit. As we have learned what can be a gift in some situations can be an Achilles heel in others. America was too kind, to solicitous, too generous not to attract the grifters and con men who prey on people who make the snow fall.

Congratulations on 200 very readable pieces, you’ve become quite a good writer, one of my favorite current essayists today.

I will admit the film was very well made; and the nuanced display of Colonel Parker’s self-deception was excellent (as well as the acting in all of the roles).

Exhausted Elvis singing at the end was quite poignant, and it was a fine tribute. In spite of his human shortcomings, he was a talented guy and a gifted singer.

And knowing Colonel Parker lived out his final days in various casinos spending his vast fortune in slot machines was, to me, just another metaphor.

I was never all that interested in Elvis when he was alive. I graduated HS the year he died and was too deep into the world of horses and barn chores after school to have much time for anything else. I did see the movie and left quite depressed. I saw a young man who worked hard to leave the poverty into which he was born, saw his amazing talent, his passion on stage (and off) and sadly, I saw the people around him suck him dry until he had nothing left to give.
I don’t think his excesses and weakness for willing women were worse than any other rock star since he blazed that trail. I’m not saying it was right, but I’m not the judge.
Your comparison of his life and what’s happening today in America is quite interesting. I do agree there are parallels and if we aren’t careful we will have the same tragic ending. They have sucked the middle class dry and are making it almost impossible to survive. Evil forces are putting things into place right now that could easily bring down our country completely if we don’t stop them. They simply don’t care as long as they get what they want. I do believe we are at a very perilous time and I hope people have found Jesus…

The “vampires” are real. Stealing energy and willpower, figuratively and literally – but only if we allow it. The lack of an image in a mirror, terror of a crucifix, and blood-drinking – all metaphor, but quite descriptive, nonetheless.

They look like us, but in fact, behave differently because they live by different standards. They’ve been allowed to become a problem because we’ve ignored what’s kept them in check.

For years Memphrica has been the #2 most dangerous city has has been trying as hard as they can to become #1. Now, it is a point of pride for many to keep the city at the top of the hot steaming pile. They elected a new DA who took office this month and I suspect he will make George Gascón look like piker. Only time will tell as he has been handed two cases in his first week in office that will let all see how much he really believes his pre-election stance on “reimagining” the criminal justice system.

Thank you Uncola for all 200 wonderful articles, you are a splendid writer and I enjoy each and every one that you bring.

This article highlights something that I find to be a huge problem almost daily. The younger generations have no knowledge of things which have shaped their world, I have run across some who truly believe that microwave ovens were around in the early 20th century in households. I usually chuckle when I hear them spout out these thing which to them are (their) reality.

I wrote yesterday that when you gaslight too much, humans no longer respond as we see in the Chinese “Let It Rot” movement . We are all sick of the gaslighting and chaos.

There is nothing worse than Elvis B-movies unless you count current politics and global evil actors and vampires.

So I typed a rather long reply an hour ago and accidentaly hit the back button before I hit post🙄. I’m going to try to recreate it. Someone pull me back from the edge if you think I’m about to go over but I have a theory bouncing around in my head.

The left has been threatening to put Trump in jail for one reason or another since 2016 and now there is the raid and more threats to indight him and more jail threats. If they didn’t want to keep Trump in the spotlight all the Demorats and the media (but I repeat myself) had to do was completely ignore him and he would have probably faded away into the sunset on the golf course. But no it’s Trump 24/7. I think this is a Q phenomenom for the left. Keep them fired up and sort of on a leash (for now) with the arrest threats. The Dark Brandon speech brings Trump in the spotlight even more. Personally I don’t see Trump being arrested but maybe some more of his followers will be made an example of.

Meanwhile there is a small minority of people who believe Trump is THE Anti-Christ. Seriously. Have a looksee at this thread. He makes a good case but I’m sketpical. If he is re-elected in 2024 I might reconsider. If there is a 2024.

Then there is Trump’s base who just seems to ingore the fact that he locked us down and rushed in an experimental injection that is killing people. He still draws more people for his rallies than Brandon does. Maybe he has been chosen to “win” in 2024 so he can finish off the conservatives.

Btw, Doug, I had to smile that it’s not merely a false flag dead ahead but a “big fat false flag” 😁

to keep playing this sick game of good guy/bad guy is beyond me.

It works. That’s why they keep it going. The fact that way more people are dying than usual is totally ignored. They keep the focus away from that. This morning I was listening to a Gonzalo Lira youtube livestream on my phone with Dr Peter McCullough and someone else I never heard of but right when they got into that very thing about the rise on all cause mortality my phone (which was several feet away from me) switched to a completely different recorded stream and the livestream had disappeared. I was wondering why he even tried to talk about anything like that knowing how screwtube is.

Kids having heart attacks on the football field and having huge clots pulled from their legs gets talked about without even questioning why something like that would happen.

I have a personal theory on how and why clots are being formed, what they consist of, and how it’s related to the shots. The mortuary findings of embalmers, data cited from spectrographic analysis of clots showing the presence of carbon and sodium, and insurance industry information that highlights an increase of death makes me suspicious there is a huge cover-up in the pharma industry and media about what’s really in those shots.

That’s as good as you’ll get. The US is named too, but it isn’t in English the way simpletons would like. Rather, it is done in complete description — the Hammer of the Earth… the hindermost of the nations… etc. etc.

Trump is described perfectly in prophecy, but we have to actually pay attention when we read.

You can lead a horse to water…

Let’s keep this simple, fella.

Go into the Bible and find me ONE prophecy about this man which does not fit Trump to the letter, like a glove, and across the board.

One.

If you knew these prophecies backwards and forwards, you would be left with no doubt.

Another thing the Bible does is teach us how to understand the timeline. The Apostles were LOOKING for Christ even before they found Him because they understood the timeline. We should be looking for the Man of Lawlessness right now because the Bible makes it clear that NOW is the time of the end. All who came before and proclaimed various things about the end, over the past centuries and millennia, were in error.

SEVEN DAYS is the timeline, as God counts time.

And we’re now at the end of the Sixth Day.

Do with this what you will. Some of us know because we’ve allowed the Bible to do the teaching.

Trump is the guy.

100 percent.

It’s not a false flag anymore, if the majority deosn’t believe anymore that (any) one party is totally innocent…

With things like the US now openly (?) admitting they helped to sink the Moskva, the difference between a false flag and an open act of aggression shrinks to peanuts.

I have never understood the fascination with Elvis, much like the other ‘stars’ of the past. I don’t really have anything to say about the article, but
“The opening scenes showcased the sexual carnality of a couple dirty dancing to blues music and contrasted with the rapturous emotionalism at a gospel tent revival. ”

That sounds more like a comparison than a contrast.

“Performing” & gaslighting, kinda synonymous, no? Both sides to the tango.

“Can’t cheat an honest man” & cowardice of command chains ain’t ever honest. And if the man is in fact a manchild, well, face the music: that kid is~ alllll those kids are ~ caught in a trap (& never haven’t been). Welcome to real life among the social animals.

Bottom line for “performers” is & has always been “if you want to play, you gotta pay.” And they do. Chains of quid pro quo are linked gatekeepers – & thse gates swing in both directions. “I let the Wine Stain bed me & now I’m a starlet.” Whose the gas & whose the lighter? It’s one dynamic duopoly – one more roly-poly, one a lot less so, at least outwardly.

Sad, this species, but not my problem. This reality’s a problem, to be solved to the best of individual ability … but this reality’s solution does not involve changing this reality. And them that are about holding back, or diverting, or transforming the tides, are bic lighters, too. A lotta’ butane is totally lunar-ized; cuckoos nest is this place.

I’ll go on with my suspicious mind, the b(ic)lighters will go on with their arson. Que sera.

Doug

A fine article as usual and I’ll put it on SLL tonight. My comments here address the Elvis movie, which I was looking forward to but found a complete disappointment.

Unethical managers and agents taking advantage of naive entertainers and athletes is commonplace. It is not what made Elvis’s story unique. What made Elvis a transcendent superstar was his music and his magnetic appeal. For a movie about Elvis, there was surprisingly little music. I can’t recall a single Elvis song that was reprised in its entirety, particularly in the 1950-early 1960s when he rocketed to superstardom, captured his generation, and helped kick off rock and roll. Instead, we’re treated to endless Tom Hanks, who I didn’t find to be a particularly interesting character.

My template for this kind of film is Bohemian Rhapsody. Although Freddy Mercury’s AIDS and his crooked fixer were featured, they weren’t central. That was reserved for Queen’s story and music and Mercury’s part in them. The movie, unlike Elvis, gave audiences what they came for in a movie about musicians–music and the musicians’ story. The scenes at Wembley were a highpoint.

Nobody watched Bohemian Rhapsody for the inside scoop on Queen’s management. I was hoping to get a lot more Elvis and music and a lot less Tom Parker in a movie about Elvis.

A VERY interesting take, Robert, that reminded me of the old maxim as follows: “Keep your expectations low and you’ll never be disappointed!

But, if it’s any consolation, the Wikipedia link on the movie embedded into my article says the latest Elvis film “is the second-highest-grossing music biopic of all-time behind Bohemian Rhapsody (2018).

So it seems you may have a good point. 🙂

I’d buy it if Elvis were compared to Dementia Joe. Both were blessed with only mediocre talents, yet somehow rose to the top, … and then fucked it all up. Surely, you can see that’s accurate.

Uncola won’t agree. Judging from the first half of the article I wouldn’t be surprised if Uncola actually prayed to Elvis from time to time. Such idolatry can cloud one’s better judgement. 🙂

When the Communists consolidate their power by rigging the next couple of elections and it dawns on a critical mass of honest, hard working, Christian Americans that America no longer exists where do we go? The migration from Socialism to Freedom started 30 years ago with Californians moving to TX, UT and every other non Socialist state. Same with New Yorkers moving to FL. Where do we go when the Federal Government has been captured by the Communists? The Communists that run CA and NY can implement Socialism but not Communism for now. We still have the Constitution and the SCOTUS and some semblance of law and order.

What happens when all opposition is swept away by “mail in ballots” and Antifa and BLM are allowed to destroy every city, not just majority idiot cities? It’s no accident that Brandon and Obama have purged the US Military. I don’t think it’s realistic to stand and fight against the US Military, even if it is manned by thugs and trannies. I think our future is going to have to be immigration to a third world country somewhere, build an enclave at first and fully functioning decent society as the long term goal.

Good piece, Doug. Got me to thinkin’…a dangerous pastime, I know.

I haven’t been posting here for a while, just lurkin and spend more time on Twitter of all places of late. Rots the brain, it does, so my attention span is complete shit so I’m not sure if I can remember my points. Let’s see what I can get down:

One thing about waking up to the true nature of things (rot and corruption in the system, fiat currency boondoggle, cultural decay, Fourth Turning, collapse of empire, etc) we tend to see everything through that lens. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that, just the simple fact of it. The notion of collapse is never really off my mind…sometimes it’s on the back burner, but it’s always simmering away. I can almost picture you watching the movie and at some point, probably early on, a light bulb went on…”shit, this is a damn-near perfect analogy for our current predicament,” followed immediately with “I could write an article about this.”

Speaking of Twitter, I was scrolling through just before I read your piece, and Keith Wiener (Finance/Economics guy, Founder/CEO of Monetary Metals and a generally brilliant dude–worst I can say is he may have a bit of an Is v. Ought issue in his philosophy) said “in a (Tyranny) no one is free.” He said Feudal System, but I think its true for any totalitarian State. The common people are obviously no free. But what of the low level Party thugs? Sure they get some goodies and have some license, but that is mostly license to commit atrocity, easily the darkest, most corrupted form of “freedom” imaginable. Outside of that, they have zero real freedom, step one toe out of line or even be suspected of such and they get stomped by the very system they facilitate. So what about higher ups in the Machine of State? Hell, they have less real freedom than that. Luxuries and even more license, but always looking behind you for the dagger, wondering if your usual driver really is sick or is already in the trunk and you are about to join him. And for the people at the very to, well its all a life and death game that MUST be played both perfectly and ruthlessly. No freedom there. Its a terrible, lose-lose-lose-some-more game that we humans insist on playing over and over again.

The same could almost certainly be said for celebrity as well. I missed the cultural phenomenon of Elvis, but honestly he’s a bit of an oddball, generationally speaking. He was merely the vangard for the Boomer cultural revolution of the sixties. For my generation it was the early nineties. The tragic figures I think more of are Cobain and Chris Cornell, but shit there as was also Bradley Nowell, Shannon hoon, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland, a dozen others. Only Eddie Vedder, Billy Corgan and one could say Billy Joe Armstrong made it through.

Jordan Peterson said something very interested on Lex Fridman’s podcast….that the thing that really destroys celebrities–besides booze and drugs and hectic schedules and the general angst of the truly creative–is the lack of push-back from people. No one tells them they are acting badly. It’s a lack of resistance….a lack of struggle. We’re built for it, man. What’s the one thing that is required in a story? The only literal (pun intended) requirement? Conflict. Struggle.

We spent hundreds of thousands of years struggling together in small groups (tribes) for survival in a harsh environment. We strive for comfort and ease, but it is the struggle that fulfills us.

If this collapse continues on its present course, much struggle awaits us.

I always enjoy reading your take on things, Drud. Thank you.

Speaking of Billy Corgan, I wrote a piece back in 2019 (linked below) speculating on him (and Donald Trump, Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Dwight Eisenhower, and JFK, too) lol

Thanks Doug.

I remember that article. No idea what to make of it.

Crazy to think how long ago 2019 was…in many ways.

Time has, indeed, passed and the speculations in that “circus” article appear to have held up (i. e. passed the test of time.) Unfortunately.

I, personally, have only considered the man, vaguely, as an American historical icon

Yes, just another man.

Does that mean America is doomed to die on the toilet? Seems fitting America is in Late-Stage Elvis, complete with gaudy clothing, a severe addiction (to cheap credit), terrible diet choices, and an array of mooching sycophants hanging around.

It means that people who focus on entertainment in lieu of reality are retards doomed to dystopia. Mass Media is a self inflected wound. Avoid it whenever possible.

In the middle fifties, my dad was courting my mom in Little Rock.
Yes I’m an Elvis baby.
I still have my dad’s entire collection of 45’s. He was young courting and knew all about Elvis very early on. I have the first three Sun Record 45’s
The very first printing of the very first 45 had a misprint, the catalog number was printed upside down. Only a handful were sold, estimated, before they were recalled to get replaced or relabeled. My dad had to have been there the day they went on sale.

Magnificent article except for one exasperating flaw: the repeated misuse of the word “gaslighting” when what is meant is deception or manipulation.

“Gaslighting” refers only to a very specific type of deception: deception aimed at convincing the target that he or she is insane.

I am seeing this word misused constantly these days, and as a result, the true meaning of the word is being lost. Actual gaslighting — convincing a person to doubt their own sanity, their own perception of reality, so that one feels as if one is lost, without escape, in a carnival funhouse of warped mirrors — is a horror, and a form of torture.

Mass deception, as awful as it is, is not always gaslighting. Indeed, most people who fall for mass deceptions think they are perfectly sane, and that the dissenters, such as us here at TBP, are the crazy ones! It’s only gaslighting if the deceivers are convincing you that YOU are the crazy one.

I wish people would watch the classic movie from which the word “gaslighting” originally came, in order to grasp the unique, horrifying type of psychological manipulation that is gaslighting:

“one exasperating flaw:”

Thank You. For Your time and Efforts. Words do have meaning or something like that. THIS term, like So-so, many. B.S. MULTIPLE Results supporting Your Assertions. (think that’s the Word 🤣)

“Absolutely”. Wondered aloud to myself why it gained SUCH a “Following”.
ONLY 4 syllable word they know? DOES have it’s place. Absolutely.

Simple as possible. Wording. Less ambiguity. WORTH one last pass on this article for Your post. DO ‘remember’ supporting” BIG Words. Possible to convey whole sentences/ideas with one. Esoteric to be sure. WILL add Your thoughtfully provided Movie Link/reference To the Movie”File” for later research/viewing.

No need ta respond from a sense of sensed manners. Prolly won’t see it unless the “Count” appreciates appreciably. Anyhow.

“Gaslight original meaning – Search
Gaslighting is a colloquialism, loosely defined as making someone question their own reality. The term derives from the title of the 1944 film Gaslight. The term may also be used to describe a person who presents a false narrative to another group or person, thereby leading them to doubt their perceptions and become misled, disoriented or distressed. Oftentimes this is for the gaslighter’s own benefit. Normally, this dynamic is possible only when the audience is vulnerable, such as in unequal power relationships, or fearful of the losses associated with challenging the false narrative. Gaslighting is not necessarily malicious or intentional, although in some cases it is.”

I cannot imagine any possible scenario in which gaslighting is not malicious or intentional. It psychological CRUELTY to lie, mislead and manipulate a person into doubting reality.

Definition of gaslighting

: psychological manipulation of a person usually over an extended period of time that causes the victim to question the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories and typically leads to confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem, uncertainty of one’s emotional and mental stability, and a dependency on the perpetrator

Colonel Parker psychologically manipulated Elvis over an extended period of time in ways that caused Elvis to second-guess his instincts and desires by, in fact, altering the singer’s perception of reality that resulted in confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem, uncertainty of his emotional and mental stability, plus an unhealthy dependency on the perpetrator (i e. Colonel Parker).

But I do see your point and will admit that I’m not completely wrong but you’re not totally right either.

My guess is they’ll 25th or My Pillow NurembergJoe in October, making the midterms about misogyny, racism and “finishing what Lunchbucket Joe began,” appoint Buttplug as the veep, then find a crazy white guy to play a white supremacist at Dealey Plaza for Horizontal.
