“If I don’t know – I can’t act” – Knowledge of The Word is Spiritual

Errata: Last week I reported: “Britain will have its second female PM.”  I was wrong, it should have read: “Britain will have its third female PM” – Sorry Theresa, your greyness merged into the background of my memory.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II PASSED AWAY THIS WEEK – LONG LIVE THE KING – CHARLES III.  I am sure all my readers have been inundated with enough media coverage this week. Therefore all I wish to say is thank you, Your Majesty, for your loving care of all your subjects over all the glorious 70 years of your reign, for which I am personally eternally grateful, may God rest your soul.  “I will to my lord be true and faithful, and love all which he loves and shun all which he shuns.”  Anglo Saxon oath of FealtyI leave the final word from USA friends to whom I owe so much: https://www.zerohedge.com/political/queen-elizabeth-iis-heath-causes-concern-among-doctors

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Phew! – It’s been a hectic week in British politics; so much so that I missed my ‘Tuesday Finance Report’ deadline by 12 hours – apologises to all my “Burning Platform” readers: https://www.theburningplatform.com/author/austrian-peter/

IT’S STARTED! The first sign of an impending market crash and global financial meltdown is when CEOs start jumping off high buildings!  ZH had a short report on Monday: https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/bed-bath-beyond-cfo-leaps-death-tribeca-skyscraper

BLOCKBUSTER: A NEW (Unelected by the people) PM this week repeats history yet again – 1957: ‘Uncle Mac’ takes over as PM and says there will be no election for two years!  Funny how 65 years later the same thing has happened all over again – does history repeat?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQEt-jvbqUg   AND in 1960 he went on to declare the “Wind of Change” speech in Cape Town – 2 minute clip – a prophetic vision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fjiHI1apUI

SO HOW will Liz manage, tied hand and foot, with BoJo seething behind the curtain?   Boris still enjoys the backing of many Tory MPs, even though he has been tarred and feathered for lying to Parliament, partying during his own lockdowns, and clearly proving to be far from emotionally stable with well- defined dysfunctional personality traits. He certainly isn’t someone I would leave in charge of my cat, let alone the stewardship of a nation.  In the view of my own psychiatrist he is in sore need of professional therapy.

Former aide turned arch-critic, Dominic Cummings, suggested as much on Twitter, claiming Johnson was backing Liz Truss in the belief that she would be a disaster as PM and thus making way to stage his shock comeback.  He is expected to remain a MP after leaving Downing Street.  Much will depend on the outcome of the long-awaited Commons inquiry into whether BoJo misled Parliament.  The internecine feud in the Tory Party is far from over. https://www.theweek.co.uk/news/uk-news/957718/inside-the-movement-to-bring-back-boris

Make no mistake; this is the most poisoned of all chalices that I have ever witnessed while observing ‘The Long Emergency’.  This book, from the author of ‘The Geography of Nowhere’ is one that “should be read, digested, and acted upon by every conscientious Politician and citizen” says Michael Shuman, author of ‘Going Local: Creating Self-Reliant Communities in a Global Age’   https://www.amazon.co.uk/Long-Emergency-Converging-Catastrophes-Twenty-First-ebook/dp/B008UX3KY2

I have expressed my vision of ‘Going Local’:  https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/the-financial-jigsaw-part-2-localisation?s=w  …in several of my Letters which is a strategy I believe will beat the WEF and UN Agenda 2030 hands down and take our world towards the sunlit uplands of a ‘New (Multipolar) World Order’ far removed from the image perpetrated by tyrannical Klaus Schwab and his dystopian WEF where you are expected to own nothing and be happy.  Yeah – really Herr Schwab?  You have no idea what’s coming at you!

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:  As BoJo exits after a traumatic three years, is he aspiring to return?  I lay much of our ills at Boris’s doorHis speech championed ‘what he saw as the successes of his administration, which, among other achievements, he listed as “delivering” Brexit, the vaccine rollout and the response to the war in Ukraine.  I think these were all failures: ‘The Week’ reports: https://www.theweek.co.uk/news/politics/955705/what-would-boris-johnson-do-after-leaving-downing-street

“He went on to say:  “Like Cincinnatus, I am returning to my plough and I will be offering this government nothing but the most fervent support,” obviously comparing himself to the Roman senator who died in 430 BC.

Political commentator, Andrew Neil, tweeted that it was “not the speech of a departing prime minister who necessarily thinks he’s going away forever”, adding that Johnson is “enough of a classics scholar to know, in comparing himself with Cincinnatus leaving for his farm, that when the call came Cincinnatus returned to Rome”.

So let’s consider his failure milestones:

  • 2019 – Boris claims he won the election with a landslide? NO – Corbyn lost it – who else was there to vote for? My cat could have won against this perennial Marxist. ‘Newspeak’ now creates a new imaginary ‘Red Wall’ as his defining legacy
  • 2020 – Boris crumbles in the face a ferocious attack on the British people by a psychotic group of military grade PsyOp technocrats cloistered under the guise of the Newspeak acronym, SAGE. If Boris had had enough balls he could have followed Sweden’s lead and saved us from the deepest recession in a century.  This I place squarely at the door of BoJo who proved weak and powerless in the face of despotic totalitarianism arising within the British Establishment.
  • 2020-21 – While Britain’s general public stayed home, wore face diapers (even in their cars!), avoided interpersonal contact to save grandma, and followed all BoJo’s crazy laws whilst he and his gang of sycophants partied at every opportunity. Then he lied his eye teeth out denying it all.   I have said many times: “What did they know that we didn’t” – because they certainly weren’t frightened of a ‘killer virus’ which we were told was infecting the rest of us and killing many?
  • 2022 – Having been fined for one minor infringement, Boris has achieved the dubious accolade of being the first PM to be marked a criminal by having broken his very own laws. And not satisfied with this, he went on to disabuse the House at the despatch box, not once but multiple times.  Maybe the Inquiry will discover the truth – but I doubt it.

It’s the age-old HMG tactic of burying inconveniences under a cloak of the fated government commission. There are many examples, the NHS blood transfusion contamination in the 1980s is one such; 30 years later a measly offer has finally been tabled whilst the majority of sufferers are now dead!

  • 2023 – And yet this congenital liar has the effrontery to express a desire to return to government in due course, riding as a vulture on the rotting corpse of a failed third female head of state. In which case, perhaps the ladies should stick to their knitting in future, as their track record in the cut & thrust of politics leaves something to be desired.

BREAKING NEWS:  Liz Truss took the ‘reins’ of the highest office in the land on Monday announcing her win as leader of the Tory Party with a victory speech that will not have reassured her supporters, writes John Crace: “The clockwork ran down and Radon Liz slurred her way to a stop.”  Thus we need to remind ourselves of Virgil’s, snake-in-the-grass as it might apply to her.  Liz Truss has proven time and again in the past to have embraced alternative positions whenever expedient.

‘Slippery’ Liz Truss, the former Liberal Democrat, former Remainer, former CND campaigner and former opponent of government handouts  will begin leading a ‘Pro-Brexit Administration’ by giving her nuclear weapon instructions and setting out a multi-billion pound plan to help with energy bills. “I know that our beliefs resonate with the British people,” she said Wednesday, but whose beliefs is she referring to?

Look at this, by no means an isolated example:  Truss later voted in favour of vaccine mandates for health workers, vaccine mandates for care home workers, and the use of vaccine passports for the right to access everyday venues.”  Now she is claiming no lockdowns?  “cum totum fecisse putas, latet anguis in herba” comes to mind.

The lockdowns of 2020 failed to meaningfully slow the spread of the coronavirus and led to the deaths of countless thousands of young people in every country in which they were implemented.  While it’s reassuring to know that the new PM has forsworn future lockdowns, it’s deeply unfair to those who were bold enough to fight against those terrible measures from the earliest date and at tremendous personal cost, despite the onslaught of shaming from those like Truss who defended the measures. For our Liz to retroactively pretend she was among them is nothing more than despicable hypocrisy.

The question therefore arises: “Should the Brits Trust Truss?”  And the answer I am sure will be arriving in the near future.  For the time being I am following Nigel Farage’s lead and giving her the benefit of the doubt, but I shall be observing her actions closely, not her weasel words, like this independent report on Wednesday:  “In her first call to a foreign leader on her first day as prime minister, Liz Truss promised to visit Ukraine. Truss accepted President Volodymyr Zelensky’s invitation to “visit soon”, reiterating the UK’s support of Kyiv against Russia’s invasion. Somewhere in 10 Downing Street, a security team responsible for Truss’ safety abroad is having a minor nervous breakdown.”  From the Daily Maverick in South Africa

BUT SOMETHING important to think about from my good friend Admin at ‘The Burning Platform’: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2022/09/08/one-freak-after-another-ex-russian-president-on-uk-leaders/  YES, Liz Truss is an acolyte of Klaus Schwab at the World Economic Forum (WEF) – so let’s be heedful of what we wish from her!

HOWEVER all credit is due for her key cabinet appointments. In 2001, 91% of Conservative MPs were male, all of them white. As of Tuesday evening Liz Truss confirmed the appointments of Kwasi Kwarteng as Chancellor, Suella Braverman as Home Secretary and James Cleverly as Foreign Secretary, none of the four most senior posts in the British government are held by a white man.  It’s ironic that in the most diverse cabinet ever, there’s still room for Jacob Rees-Mogg, nevertheless this sounds the alarm for the Labour party, which has never been led by a woman and never had a person of colour in any of the four top offices of state.

AND more credit goes to our new PM at Question Time on Wednesday, when I think she performed very well and it was to my great relief that, for the first time in 3 years, it wasn’t a ‘Boris Bunfight’ but rather a fairly sober and civilised affair which I fervently hope will set the pattern for the rest of this Parliament.

LEAVING BEHIND BRITAIN’S TROUBLES for a moment, have you ever played the board game:  ‘RISK’?  Do you think it could be played out now to see if today’s geopolitics becomes the ruling strategy of an emerging Eurasia?  I plan to test it with my family when next we gather and then publish the results.  Perhaps we could call it ‘war-gaming’ like our ruling class in their kindergarten world of make-believe.

In 1919, after the First World War, in Mackinder’s, ‘Democratic Ideals and Reality’, he summarised his theory in slightly different language from today thus:

  • Who rules East Europe commands the Heartland;
  • Who rules the Heartland commands the World-Island;
  • Who rules the World-Island commands the world.

Is this Putin’s destiny?  In conjunction with China (rather than a united Germany, which is what worried politicians such as Balfour before WW1), Russia appears to be successfully pursuing her goal of control of Mackinder’s World-Island:

“As well as political power ebbing away from the West, economic power is as well. Hampered by increasingly expensive and anti-capitalist democratic socialism, their economies are struggling under the burden of their governments. And as the West declines, the World-Island is enjoying its own industrial revolution. The network of railways, to which Mackinder referred in 1904, has expanded from the trans-Siberian railway to China’s new overland silk roads, linking China with Western Europe and the great nations south of the original Silk Road.

            Russia is the world’s largest single source of energy, commodities, and raw materials and as we now see can control the prices the West pays for them. As a consequence of recent sanctions, the west is paying top-rouble, while Russia’s Asian allies have energy and commodities offered at a discount payable in their own currencies, undermining the West’s relative economic position even more.”

            As to whether Putin has studied Mackinder, this must be supposition. But there is no doubt that if he is not so guided, Putin is following the same predicted course. As Russia’s undisputed leader, he has played the geopolitical game masterfully. He does not fall into the traps which bedevil Western socialism. He follows foreign guidelines in the mould of the British at the time of Lord Liverpool’s Prime Ministership two hundred years ago, when the policy was not to interfere in the domestic affairs of foreign nations, except to the extent that they affected British interests.

It is a fact of life for Putin that his allies include some very unpleasant regimes. But this does not concern him — their domestic affairs are not his business. His business is Russia’s interests, and like the British in the 1820s, he pursues them single-mindedly.”

My advice to America; go gracefully and cooperate – forget your hubristic “Full Spectrum Dominance” – Putin holds all the cards: https://www.dollarcollapse.com/alasdair-macleod-geopolitics-the-world-is-splitting-into-two/

ENERGY – WITHOUT IT, NOTHING WORKS. As Europe is finding out to its cost , nay its collapse even: “Gazprom said Nord Stream 1, the main pipeline carrying gas to Germany, would stay closed, blaming an oil leak and claiming the problems could not be fixed because of sanctions barring many dealings with Russia.”  The Daily Mail has some pictures and a short, taunting video from Gazprom: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11185617/Gazprom-releases-sinister-video-showing-worker-turning-gas-supplies-Europe-freezing.html

We are all beholden to the professional market traders for supplies of this crucial resource, and they really know their onions.  Traders in oil futures know the name of the game but they can’t get any answers. Once a week, energy traders hop on a call with UK’s electricity network operator, National Grid.   Here are some conversations between traders and managers that paint a rather dark winter for the UK.  And “listening to European electricity traders is very, very scary”, says Javier Blas at Bloomberg UK:

One caller was blunt about the Grid’s own predictions: “I don’t think you believe what you’ve written, and nobody else does.”  Another trader asked a question about intervention during a winter crisis:  “Based on where winter ’22 products are trading, where does this position you with respect to securing power over the winter?”

Why are energy traders so concerned about grid instabilities in the months ahead? Well, UK power prices for winter are going parabolic at about £1,000 per megawatt hour, up from £242 in June.  “Please, the market needs to understand more fully how interconnectors are to be used in periods of very high prices and potential generation shortfall,” one market participant said last week.

There were three critical takeaways after listening to several calls with traders and Grid managers:

  • First, the looming power emergency is worse than many industry executives publicly acknowledge, and a lot more dangerous than the government admits.
  • Second, high prices are a big problem, but security of supply is at risk, too.
  • Third, time is running out to prepare before temperatures start to drop.. Blas warned: “European governments have a duty to come clean with their voters about the magnitude of the coming crisis.”

Another example from earlier this month: “If a system-stress event is active in both gas and power, how do the electricity system operator and gas control center communicate? Which stress event takes priority?” What’s particularly worrying is how few of the disaster scenarios appear to have been planned for. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2022-08-26/european-energy-crisis-listening-to-electricity-traders-is-very-very-scary  Yep, that old adage strikes again – when will politicians ever learn? :  “Failing to plan is planning to fail”.   A reminder from 60 years ago; nothing much has changed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgXNVA9ngx8

ARE ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES VIABLE?  Check this out; water goes to the very essence of our being:  https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/how-water-powers-world

COLLAPSE MONITOR: A reader commented with a prescient observation: “The coming gas crisis is a global disaster but it is the UK which is so badly impacted. Why? We are an unequal income distribution country, amongst the most unequal in the G20. This means millions will face energy poverty. Our privatised energy market has not diversified and is gas dependent.

The UK has disinvested in storage facilities and means that the current spot prices are flowing straight to the consumer. The Russian reaction to European sanctions is to shut down gas exports to Russian-dependent EU countries such as Germany. These are now joining the UK in bidding for world LNG and North Sea gas. This, and inflation, will cause life threatening poverty. The failure to address inequality in the EU and especially in the UK and a failed energy model are making this global crisis a perfect storm for the UK.”  Timothy James, by email

LOCALISATION UPDATES:  I am pleased to confirm that a business partner and I are bidding for 11 acres of local, prime farm land to establish our market garden small-holding. I shall be reporting progress when our action group establishes an independent, self-sustaining localised community as an antidote to the dystopian aspirations of Herr Schwab and his mafia criminals. I give no apology of my vision for a free and happy future: https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/the-financial-jigsaw-part-2-localisation?s=w

THE NARRATIVE BATTLE: I plan to limit reporting on Covid related matters in future because my colleague Gerry does a great job as an aggregator of all things Covid: https://cmnnews.org/. I need commentary space for the ongoing cost-of-living and energy crises/resource wars as they affect our survival tactics in the coming dark and cold months of winter. I leave you with a reminder of last winter’s propaganda with no mention of Ivermectin!  And have you noticed?  The BBC is at again this month (NB – Omicron has a 99.9% survival rate!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nS9InLzXgvk  . What do YOU believe? Who do believe, the politicians or your gut and recently published official contra evidence?

However I couldn’t pass up this exposé of Rishi Sunak claiming that his hands were tied when he was in cabinet and had to succumb to the SAGE psychobabble diktats to inflict an illegal lockdown early in 2020.  Especially take 9 minutes of your time to view this video: https://expose-news.com/2022/09/05/sunak-blows-the-whistle-on-whos-been-controlling-uk/

FINALLY: A short sonnet by Dr John Celes (2003) as a reminder of our return to Dickensian Britain:

The rich become richer and the poor poorer;

This is the way in which this world goes on!

Men may become suddenly rich, not born;

A rich man turns suddenly a beggar.

The few pennies are snatched off from the poor;

The brunt of taxes are but borne by them;

They can’t make both ends meet by any sum;

The rich hoodwink the taxman- their brother!

Will the world treat people alike ever?

All men are born unequally today;

Yet, if it happens, ’twill be a wonder;

No matter what you do, things happen this way.

The rich become richer not by real work;

The poor become poorer though they hardwork!

Huh? You not just skip over the fact the UK press in unison suddenly started smearing Corbyn in the runup to that election, but you even swallowed that load yourself??

Alasdair MacLeod’s writings are becoming more and more bullshitty, recently. What happened to him?

Seriously, fuck the British. German monarchs worshipping totalitarian in waiting who long ago gave the government the right to dictate the terms of their source of information through their own Pravda (BBC) and the dictate the terms of their own health (NHS). Before that we’ve already fought two wars against this scum until we were dragged into fighting their bs wars, ww1 more than anything. The nato scam propping up the vestiges of their imperial wet dreams is enough to make a real American puke. After their interference in our elections and spying on our citizens through the five eyes program, whoever comes in should first free us of the burden Europe forever.

Within 25 years, Britain will cease to exist as a country, with a white minority scrambling to stay alive…It was suicide…

thank you, Your Majesty, for your loving care of all your subjects

– except, of course, the people of Rhodesia (it was Her Majesty who bullied Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher into breaking her election promise not to hand Rhodesia over to Marxist terrorists). And the indigenous people of Great Britain, now a minority in their capital city and many others.

And don’t give me that story about Monarchs having no political power. They have many prerogatives, as illustrated by the example I just quoted. But she stood by and watched as her country and nation went down the drain. Elizabeth the Useless, indeed.

The fact that Royalty and Subjects exist in the 21st century is an abomination. Feudalism is a disgrace to humanity.

As an American, I don’t understand the function of royalty beyond certain tourist occasions or attractions. Shouldn’t they all be phased out and made ordinary citizens except for a nominal English King and Queen and then wax copies of the King and Queen put on display in a Museum for the tourist public to view in between special ceremonies. It would set the example that Englishmen should work for a living like the Bible says instead of live off the fat of the land (Socialism).
