Her husband developed Pancreatic cancer and died that first May (2020) and after she recovered from her grief and got her shots per her kids’ insistence, she got blood clots in her legs and while we continued to walk the level part of our road, we’ve never made it up that hill almost a mile away again.
Last December they discovered three shadows in her brain and removed three little clotty tumors from her head in a really amazing surgical procedure, considering her age.
She came home a week later and we resumed strolling from her house to the corner, where Nick is nearby working, just in case.
In August, they discovered another shadow in her brain and she said she was fine with it. Last week, she had a heart attack and they could not operate due to some other complication. They were unable to dissolve the clot causing it.
She told me last week she believes the shot(s) killed her husband and have caused at least part of her problems. But, she doesn’t want her kids to know she thinks that, but she did tell them they are NOT to have any of her grandchildren vaccinated until they are adults.

That’s why I went to a Trump rally when he came to Anchorage. The best part was talking to all the normal people while we waited in line for 3 hours. I saw only two masked people, and one was a photographer. Also not one woman passed out like they do at Obama rallies.

What is there to dislike about Trump?
Well, obviously, warp speed.
His covid emergency declaration is part of the legal justification behind lockdowns-et-al.
Half his campaign promises vanished upon entering office, and like most republicans, the country ends up left of where it started. On terms of straight track record, Obama is right of Trump.
Something I haven’t seen enough people push though, Trump was unseated in a coup.
Yes, I dislike tyrants, but people who are unseated by tyrants are themselves failures. The president is the commander in chief, it’s his job to protect the country from threats, foreign and domestic. Trump failed. I expect that if he gets another term, he’ll fail again.
The opposition may now claim that he was in an impossible position, and did the best that was humanly possible. As such, I’ll try to list a few of the specific completely avoidable errors that led to his defeat:
Failure to protect his allies, starting with Flynn. As Trump’s term proceeded, it became obvious that you could just prosecute anyone who tried to implement any of Trump’s supposed policy goals, and Trump would do nothing. At the same time, he surrounded himself with his supposed enemies, many of which were his own family, who were all left of his supposed positions and were given free reign to sabotage his supposed agenda. Actual right wing members of his administration end up, at best, like Atlas, a token voice, outnumbered and outvoted on everything, and ostracized from polite society. At worst, they end up impoverished and perhaps even in jail, like the January 6 protesters.
Failure to appoint honest judges. In particular, I note that, the election went to the supreme court, and that’s where Trump suffered his most lethal defeat. Said judges did not rule that the election fraud allegations were baseless. Rather, in a 7 to 2 vote, they agreed that they simply weren’t interested, that election fraud was fine, and that actually, the votes of the state governors are the only ones that actually matter. Three of those seven were Trump’s own appointments. If he had instead appointed judges who had respect for rule of law, judges no more radical than those appointed by Bush, perhaps he would still be president, and, at the least, it would have placed a limit on future election fraud, and provided legal legitimacy to protests against the election.
Finally, laptop gate. The failure of he and his to actually release the data set is beyond the pale. In addition, by claiming the laptop contained child porn (which I’m sure it did) those holding it are instantly self admitted felons. This creates the mindset among observers that the allegations must be false, because otherwise the people making them would be in jail. In all, the people involved wanted to not be like Snowden or Assange, and prove how you can still pander to the elite and the establishment, while standing on the side of truth. And to be clear, no, you can’t, and the fact that Trump didn’t promise to pardon those who stood with the truth against the establishment, should have been a major red flag all the way back when he was still a candidate in the primaries.

I am so happy for you Stucky – you are actually winning – what’s it feel like? I don’t think I have ever ‘won’ in my life. My mantra was always: “If the early bird gets the worm, the second mouse gets the cheese”. So I have always been a good 2ic, but never the CEO and that’s where I was always content, unstressed and able to enjoy life at my smallholding in deepest rural Somerset for 20+ years while I brought up my 4 children.
When I see these CEOs working their bollocks off just to get ‘more’ when they have more than more in the first place – it’s insane, as I often pointed out. It was like talking to a brick wall. They were driven by a kind of mania, I would even say a mental disorder. And even though I consulted in many different companies during my career – they appeared all the same, more or less.
Kind of like an orgasm.
IOW, 3 seconds of pure bliss, and then it’s back to the same old shit.
Ah – orgasm – I remember that Stucky – it was some time ago, but it remains in my memory as a dim shadow of an ecstasy that passes so quickly – a kind of magic mushroom high that suddenly collapses back into the realities of a sick and mucky life so rapidly yet again – back to normal.
And then there is detritus, which is my deposit so carelessly ejaculated into a receptacle crying out for fertilization. How I ever escaped, in my younger days, without producing an unexpected offspring it quite beyond mere random chance. I was a bad boy in those days.
It is of course, escapism, a way out of the shit that is life in general and which just goes to show how material things, even physical highs, borne on the wings of a flying fuck, are merely transitory. The true relief is found in the deeper realms of a constellation of glittering stars offering a true enlightenment – that my friend is eternally sustainable, rooted in the heart of a Creator with a love beyond all understanding which comes with the passing of years. 🙂

I note that no comments address the elephant in the room – the RINO Republicans with Mitch at their head always had a gun to Trump’s head. Just one wrong step and Trump would have been impeached, convicted, and removed from office. Trump could stay on the line of avoiding removal from office or declare martial law and conduct a paramilitary purge. How many on this platform would have supported that?
