Thanks, Tucker, for doing your part in attempting to keep the masses in fear.

Also, Glenn, man up some, m’kay?

The masses are not in fear. The masses have no fear whatsoever – and they should. Contrary to the flat earthers’ belief, nuclear weapons are real, as are satellites.

Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams

Uh, Iska? Covid?? Remember that? Yes, absolutely the masses are in fear.

Nuclear weapons – are they real? I have no idea. If they are real, then what good does it do me to worry myself sick about it? Do I have the power to stop world leaders from the games they are playing? No. Do you or I have the ability to survive a nuclear attack? Most likely not – didn’t you listen to Tucker?? So…why worry? It’s out of our control.

Boogieman
Boogieman

I didn’t spend one minute scared about Covid. The same people who would just as soon nuke the planet are the ones who scare me. Some people will literally piss themselves in horror right where they stand with the knowledge of a nuclear war head being launched. Oh, it’s easy to be big and tough and fancy free from the comfort of mindlessly being far removed from this humanity ending threat. Believe me, nuclear weapons are real, make no mistakes about that. Will some of us survive? most likely yes. The real question should be, do you want to? If it is that we should not fear this, then for what should we fear? An eternity in Hell is the only thing I can think of.

Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams

“If it is that we should not fear this, then for what should we fear?”

I don’t know, maybe something you can actually control?

Boogieman
Boogieman

If you can control it, then why fear it. Irrational thinking at best. I fear for what I can not control. Make no mistake, I don’t fear death for myself, for I have lived. I fear for those who have not yet had that chance or those who should be cut off in undo time. My own children and grand children come to mind.

Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams

“If you can control it, then why fear it.”

I understand this point, but most do not. Worried about dying from covid, for example? Then maybe lay off the junk food, lose some weight, stop smoking, etc…instead of forcing everyone else to change their behavior.

I realize we’re talking nukes. Just using covid to illustrate fear you can control.

Personally, I really do not fear much at all…so I don’t understand y’all’s fear of nukes. I’d rather focus my energy on what I can control in my own life…until something beyond my control takes me out of this world. And, as a Christian, why would I fear the afterlife??

Boogieman
Boogieman

One can have fear and live in abundance at the same time. Fear is a self preserving gift given at the point of self awareness to all living creatures. It is a most basic instinct and perhaps the most valuable. Balance is the trick to living.

Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams

Oh wait…yes, I do have fear. Opened my front door this morning to be greeted by a Copperhead. Luckily I could control the situation. I slammed the door shut & hid under my covers!

Boogieman
Boogieman

Ah, then you are fearful of that which could bring you harm. An irrational response to a controllable situation is what you are saying.

Abigail Adams

I almost stepped on a rattler in the garage the other night. Shut the door and spooked him, which is the only reason I even saw him before I stepped on him!!!

Only weapon within reach was a crape myrtle walking stick, so I had to smash him to death with that!!!

That’s what I get for stepping outside without a gun. Shoulda knowed better.

Haven’t seen a single copperhead all year.

Red…did you see where I told you a while ago that my dog got bitten on the nose by a copperhead? He spent two nights in the hospital…$3,000.

I have plenty of copperheads, see them often. And lots of cicadas, which is food for the copperheads. I think the trees are the problem – I have over 100 trees on 3 acres. And tons of leaves.

You didn’t cook up that rattler? That landowner that I mentioned on the other thread also found a rattler in his garage, like you. He shot it and grilled it up for dinner that night. (not something I could eat, but he said it was good)

Ben Lurken

My grandson and his dog were both bitten by a copperhead in NC. Don’t remember how much hospital the dog required but my grandson was in for two days.

Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams

Did they fully recover?

Ben Lurken
Ben Lurken

Apparently so. Although I think the copperhead was a gamer as my grandson, now about 5 years later at age 11, is all about video games and VR.

flash

LOl…they milked your grandson like a dairy cow. I was bitten and never even took as much as an aspirin. It was painful though.

The venom of a copperhead is known as “hemotoxic”. Hemotoxic venom is characterized by tissue damage, swelling, necrosis, and damage to the circulatory system. While this may seem terrifying, it is all relatively localized. Although it may be painful, copperhead bites are only mildly dangerous to most people. The venom of a copperhead is actually the lower among all pit vipers, and of the 2,920 people bitten annually by copperheads, just .01% result in fatalities. For reference, the eastern diamondback rattlesnake injects up to 1,000 mg per bite and has a 20-40% mortality rate left untreated.

Copperhead Snake Bite: How Deadly Are They?

Ben Lurken
Ben Lurken

That family, my daughter, her husband, and 4 kids, none of them get hysterical about encounters with animals. Even after that episode that grandson has no fear of snakes.
They now live in NH on a farm/orchard surrounded by woods, which they explore. The dogs explore too but don’t learn as they often come back with porcupine quills in them.

The Central Scrutinizer

What they lack in venom potency they make up for with sheer aggression. Only snake I’ve ever seen chase a human being in retreat. The black mamba is reputed to share that trait, but we don’t have those in America.

YES! Absolutely, Svarga. My dog(s) are to me like what your children are to you.

There is no amount of money that will prevent me from getting my dog medical treatment when needed for a life/death situation. There was no reason to let him die (a painful death) when I had the power to control that. I had the money and I spent in on a very loyal, sweet, loving companion.

AA- If that is meant for me, I’m no atheist. Read the link I posted. It was no walk in the park to be God’s chosen people. In the four gospels Jesus made one thing very clear to me. He challenged and broke the Levitical laws all the way through. His message was, follow me and be freed from the heavy yolk of the laws. The Levitical laws in this age can no longer be followed or adhered to and there is no exception made for it. Gods old temple no longer exists. Those who have chosen to be made new in the shed blood of Jesus Christ should know, following the Levitical laws is a curse. Oh it’s tricky business for those who have chosen to reject the salvation and cleansing blood of Jesus Christ and adhere to the Levitical laws. They don’t realize the futile error they have made in their choice. They have a 613 laws they have to follow without exception and can’t because it is not posable. The 10 commandments are the whole of God’s law’s for the true believers in Christ and even then most of us can’t adhere to them. For the true believers in Christ we have a covering for our sins. His shed blood was the perfect, supreme and final sacrifice for the sins of mankind and that redemption is free for those who truly profess Jesus Christ as their Savior. There is no amount of clean meat, temple sacrifice, sabbath adherence, or any other Hebrew Levitical law that will change that outcome.
I’m not a religious man nor an expert in these matters, but I know what I have read and that message has been made quite clear to me.

The keys to understanding the Old Testament laws are given to us by the Apostle Paul:

    1 Corinthians 9:9

For it is written in the Law of Moses: “YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE IT IS THRESHING.” God is not concerned about oxen, is He?

Nothing Christ said abrogated the Law. We’re meant to learn what God’s intention was behind the statutes.

    Boogieman
    Boogieman

You can’t follow the laws. The means by which to do so are gone. These things have been removed. It’s like trying to play baseball with no gloves, bats, bases, field or balls. Learn yes, practice no.

My German Shepherd once inserted his nose into a skunk’s ass. It didn’t end well for anyone but the skunk. It cost a lot less than 3 grand to correct, but it was a couple of months before he could come in the house again.

Incidentally, forget the tomato juice. It only warns off your neighbors. It does nothing for the smell. I used repeated scrubbing with a mixture of Dawn dishwashing liquid, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Most effective thing I’ve found to date.

I had a dog that travelled the road with me, got hit by skunks twice in a single week. Couldn’t leave her behind so she got in the car with me not long after both strikes. Those were not happy moments.

On the drive to the hospital, we were pulled over by a cop. When we told him the situation, he escorted us to the hospital. The doctor took one look. Asked him if his tetanus was current. ( It was) . They went to pork first. Edward Bernays was instrumental in making bacon what it is today. But the Roman Church decided it was fine to dig on swine and look at how pork is a staple in Italy.

What they really, REALLY do not want us eating, is red meat. And there are good reasons for that. Consider that red meat became lawful to eat for Noah and his sons. Prior to that, there was no meat eating. Ponder the implications.

    but, but, … EVIL PUTLER!
This is what the thought control box (television) has put into the sheeple’s tiny brains, both from the regular left-wing media as well as from that rightward edge of the leftward moving Overton Window .. FoxNews.
We may die simply because 95+% of the populace cannot think. They reject even the thought of thinking. I am surrounded by it and see it every day.
But, Covid did show us that on rare occasions what the thought control box puts out is so far beyond reason that another 1% of the population actually pulls their heads from their ass. It is all we can do to try to make it 2% by slapping the stupid out of anyone supporting this push to nuclear war.
It is possible that it is still true that if enough of the population wakes up the reality of this situation, the creatures in D.C. may actually back off. Or, maybe not.
However, silence, acquiescence, or giving up in the face of “uncontrollable” fate, will only ensure the worst outcome in this case and all future cases (if there are any).

Many of the comments here support Tucker’s claim that most Americans are oblivious. Some of you think you are pretty smart and worldly with your snide comments. I’ve operated in a country during their civil war and I’ve seen death, suffering, and violence up close. How many of you know what a dead body smells like? How about a body that is on fire? Even with my military training and experience, including an AFCS that focused on CBRN, I’m not very confident of surviving this bravo sierra conflict being pushed by the current regime. With all that has happened in the past10 years especially the last 6, you morons should have developed a clue of what is really going on in this county. Reality is coming pot heads.

    Abigail Adams

Well, when I saw your comment my eyes immediately narrowed in on this ======>> your snide comments.

And, I was like, hmmm…I bet he is talking about me. Amiright??

No one in their right mind wants war, death, & suffering. And it is not all that difficult (for us here) to figure out what is really going on in this country.

My only point, with my humor that most do not find funny, is that I am not going to worry myself about something that is completely out of my control. Iska, Boogie, and others are shaking in their boots and calling this a “healthy fear”. Doesn’t sound that much different than those who panicked about Covid. I’m choosing not to live in fear & anxiety over the possibility of nuclear weapons. God does not want us to live that way. I trust Him completely in all things, no matter what happens.

Now, if I am wrong, and there is something that I can do to stop world powers from playing dangerous games, then please lay it out for me. I’m all ears. Otherwise, I’m relaxing with my iced tea & my very expensive dog and enjoying what days I have left.

    “Redemption Song”

Old pirates, yes, they rob I
Sold I to the merchant ships
    Minutes after they took I
    From the bottomless pit
But my hand was made strong
By the hand of the Almighty
    We forward in this generation
    Triumphantly

    Won’t you help to sing
    These songs of freedom?
    ‘Cause all I ever have
    Redemption songs
    Redemption songs

    Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
‘Cause none of them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it’s just a part of it
We’ve got to fulfill the book

Fear is the fuel that moves the destruction product.

(& contra Farmer’s comment, belief is the fuel tank. When I flash on choosing a tank wisely, I see Oddball … & the “negative waves” captain of the Love Boat deferring to him. ☻)

The woman who was mauled by the bear was more afraid of disagreeing with what her husband thought, & just saying “no,” & turning back down the trail than she was confident & solid in what her own senses were telling her.

From fleabag’s recounting, same as the woman & the husband versus the bear:

“We were not going to disgrace our families by deserting or going to Leavenworth and getting a BCD. So we put on our best pair of man pants, sucked it up and muddled through.”

Not an indictment of a kid who goes off to war. An indictment of people who are supposedly adults, & parents, not looking out for their kids, & for whatever efforts they put into instilling in their kids that other peoples’ thinking “what would it look like?” prioritizes ahead of one’s own thinking (& even ahead of one’s actual experience) – which is also inadequate, usually, in the young/dumb/&comely (& parenting leading up to that has something to do with that, too –

    – one of the significant defects, passed down generation to generation, is the public “education” indenturing/indoctrinating …

… *&* that that poisoning is allowed by parents to be swallowed whole by kids w/o even any attempts at leavening, denaturing, detoxifying (because the parents are still intoxicated themselves, too: the gift that keeps on poisoning) …

… the reason for “get ‘em while they’re young” is that the whole “imprinting” thing is real, first in 1st birth/berth “family of origin” parental realms, then in subsequent birth-berths into “part of something larger” parental realms & because most are cut out to & so will readily conform, submit, internalize, project & pass it on … this is domino reality, not theory (as in SE Asia will fall a commie domino if the forces of light don’t intervene …).

… as has been passed on the lies that the borg-builders who imported Prussian brainwashing (for military purposes) technique to the land of the free & the home of the brave were fine progressive men of good will (cue the Good Will Hunting scene, the job interview with the “code-breakers” …

That always brimming fear aquifer is what the destroyers tap. Fear of other peoples’ opinions. Fear of the peer. Even the opinions of people who have no business having an opinion (as fleabags recounted). So sittin on the dock of the bayed. Cue Otis.

And “respect” for the opinions of poet-idolators of destruction, & politicians drooling out Fast Eddie Bernays sauce, & con•cepts like motherland/fatherland/homeland/nation/country, & theories about dominoes, &&& ∞∞∞:
