Look who’s talking…😆
At a funeral visitation yesterday I was told (again) that I haven’t aged a bit, by friends from 50 years ago.
Was checking out some old photos to rekindle memories of some early childhood friends.
…came across pictures of me as an infant…
Man, I was a cute lookin’ baby.
I bet you was an uuuugly baby, fren.
I believe I’m much more handsome and youthful looking than you, you crusty old coot.😂
Re: Lagers ales, and Motown, perhaps I need to send you a care package sampler pack, containing a Dirty Blonde ale, + a Horny Monk ale, and lastly a Two Hearted ale to soothe your pain. Look them up, and discover the breweries that produce those. Explore!
Forget Coors Light, man.
You have a fine red lager, readily available in your neck of the woods that’s better than that Rocky Mountain horse urine in a can.😁 I speak of Yuengling, in case you are a little fuzzy this fine Autumn morn. Next F2F, I’ll expect a cold long neck, with a small vessel of Woodford Reserve, while discussing the state of the nation.
Same venue, hopefully soon. I’ll keep you appraised of my itinerary.
BTW, good add, w the DY vid.
Cheers, kid.

Beginner guitar player here. 50+ years old and just now learning a few three-chord strumming songs.
Second song I learned is “That’s All Right, Mama”
Really enjoy Elvis’ early stuff. Fascinating story.

I remember very well where I was when word came over the radio that Elvis died. Front porch of my parents Summer cabin in Northern Michigan. I walked next door to my Aunt and Uncle’s cabin and told my cousins that Elvis had died at Graceland. We were all in our 20’s, he had always been ‘The King’ it left us stunned.

I only saw Elvis once a year or so before his death. Due to a double selling of seats they ended up seating the 4 of us in folding chairs right in front of the stage to the side. We were so close you could see the sweat on his forehead. Needless to say, my date and our friends thought I had pulled off the deal of the century to get us that close. All in all, it was a very memorable night.

RIP to the Coal Miner’s Daughter. Loretta was one of a kind.
