The climate change zealots have found a new scapegoat to blame for changes in the weather – the family pet. CNN has dubbed the term “carbon pawprint” and is urging owners to switch their pets over to insect-based diets or lab-grown meat and reconsider future animal adoptions.
There was a 2017 study entitled “Environmental Impacts of Food Consumption by Dogs and Cats” that claims pets are responsible for global warming. “Dog and cat animal product consumption is responsible for release of up to 64 ± 16 million tons CO2-equivalent methane and nitrous oxide, two powerful greenhouse gasses (GHGs),” the study cited. The author suggests “reducing the rate of dog and cat ownership” in favor of smaller rodents or reptiles. If someone must have a dog, they claim it is better to adopt a small breed as it eats less.
“As calculated, US dogs and cats consume as much dietary energy as ~62 million Americans, which is approximately one-fifth of the US population. Although there are fewer dogs and cats in the US than people, they derive more of their energy from animal-derived products (33% ± 6% vs. 19% for people). Thus, if pets’ consumption was included in calculations, the US would be equivalent to a country of ~ 380 million in terms of raw dietary energy consumed and a country of about 690 million in terms of animal-derived energy consumed.”
The study glosses over the fact that many animals eat meat that is not safe for human consumption and would be otherwise thrown away. The study makes numerous mentions of the mental health benefits that pet ownership provides, but still concludes that reducing the number of pets in our society is for the greater good.
I am certain that those flying in their private jets to Davos are creating a larger carbon imprint. Around 100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions, but the average person must always be forced to change their ways. I do not put it past the extreme leftists to implement taxes on pet ownership.

The reason I have 2 dogs is for security over anything else. My lab knows when someone is entering the driveway, which is a few hundred feet down to the road. It will work out well, if they are coming to get the dogs, I will have ample time to start shooting since said dog warned me in advance.
I have four dogs, all hunting dogs, but also excellent guard dogs, they can hear and see what I can’t.
They are a deterrent for anyone snooping around , the bad guys will go to the homes without dogs.
Pets cannot eat that swill (fake factory foods and insects) and remain healthy just as people cannot. Theirs and humans digestive systems and entire bodies can’t use or process the unnatural garbage either. It is long term poison aiding the culling. However when they want and desire just a handful of replaceable slaves to serve them left alive, no need to be fit and healthy.

Things would be ideal for our Transhumanist Elite if lumpen humanity matures fairly early, then dies by the age of 50 or so. Fantastic cost savings!
Whatever perennial skills and understanding are required to maintain/advance Transhumanism can be maintained within the ranks of the Elite themselves, or within the ranks of a few trusted sycophants.

Planned obsolescence has long been, largely, just fraud. Like “allopathic medicine” the “business model” of “consumerism” is one long continuous mulct – until the so-called consumers are consumed.
“Products” have been breaking on schedule for a long time, now. And I don’t hear “they don’t build them like they used to” very much anymore. People not only expect short product life cycles, they can’t wait for the latest & greatest “upgraded” product/service.
The consumers fed & fattened themselves upon the consumers. Now the obese former have arrived at their planned obsolescence of the latter. It was has always been CAFO – consumer animal feeding operation.
So the planned obsolescence “business model” is really just cannibalism.
Build up the fleet(footed – hah!)herd, taking its scavenged-salvaged “parts” every step of the way, until those parts are no longer useful. Then, Soylent Green.
First they came for the domesticated cattle … then they came for the domesticated pets … then they came for “me” & the rest of the domesticated chattel ~ paraphrasing Niemoller …
…in reality, the process of domestication is the chute to the abbatoir. “They,” the consumers, have always been coming for the “consumers.”

We see this today. The conditioners (call them the elite) hate the conditioned (the common man). The conditioners are doing all they can to destroy life – fighting against He who created life, considering Him nothing more than a harmful myth.

The more the climate change zealots push the envelope the more ridiculous they look….and I thought cow farts were the source of the real problem. The damage these zealots are doing is monumental because it amounts to a huge cover for the global corporations that are primarily responsible for any man made changes that may or may not exist. BTW those man made changes are minuscule compared to the natural changes that are driving us into another ice age. The agribusiness industry is the major offender because of the way they produce and distribute food on a highly mass highly centralized basis. The solution to much of these problems is actually pretty simple. Local regenerative farming with short supply lines could solve much of these problems and would do much to sequester CO2. Climate change is just another boogeyman like Putin is made out to be in the geopolitical world.
“sequester CO2” That’s the rub, CO2 is essential, without it there would be no life on this planet. The balance of C02 is exactly where it should be. But they will never back anything they say with real data because it would destroy the narrative.

Actually, I think it would be a hoot if this issue is what pushes the plebs over the edge. Sor far they have let the proles mutilate their kids, teach them all kinds of nonsense, sow hate and division, ignored their votes, ignored their wishes, called them deplorable and forced them to take poison. I could go on all day, but to my point.
I would LMAO if taking their pets was the final straw. If so, the plebs deserve everything that has happened to them.

I have been eyeing the local dove, rabbit and squirrel population.

I do not care what you have for pets whether dogs/cats/birds/rodents/snakes what have you,they are your family!I will kill and be willing to die to protect me family!
As for pets,well,have one field mouse!Caught the little dude in me kitchen browsing and thought about getting a cat again.
I ended up putting out a tiny plate with a few seeds each night for the little dude and now sit at night with me coffee or drink and watch him come out/munch a few 5 feet from me and fill up his mouth and go off with the rest.I swear he knows about 6-630 is time as he always shows up!
I know will regret if he starts bring his buds but so far a few months in just fine!
Some day will get a new home/lands and will have a lot of critters as family,till then this little guy will do.
It’s a trick. He works his way in and when you’re not looking, he brings in his whole tribe. You will wake up and find holes gnawed in your pantry goods, and they do shit where they eat. So your stores are spoiled. Get the cat.

Soon the Chinese model of reducing your carbon paw print will be adopted. To reduce green gas emissions we should eat our cats and dogs as it will not only reduce carbon paw print but reduce farming green gas emissions at the same time eliminating the need to raise live stock reducing cow and pig fart pollution. It’s a win win.

I knew they were going to do this when they starting making pet stores illegal. Pets give people joy so of course they have to be taken away. Anything that makes people happy they will come after it and take it away. They want you miserable. Soon they’ll ban Proms, big family weddings, traveling, swimming at the beach, having friends, and on and on. They won’t be happy until you are totally despondent and alone with no future. Then they will hand you a pill. It’s happening in Canada.
