When you are a major stockholder of the entire Fortune 500, then you can control the narrative of those corporations. I am surprised State Street is not among the listed companies.

The people that State Street market to, aren’t on Twitter. And they have pretty much had the same families as clients for over 200 years,
Names like Lowell, and Lodge and Cabot.

Twitter isn’t free speech and Musk is a billionaire troll. This is just another distraction.

Yeah seems the narrative crafters want me to have feelz over this twitter thing. This is no different than if apple pulled its super-bowl ads because the NFL isn’t diverse enough and ESPN was covering it every 30 min on a loop. IDGAF. It all needs to burn. That said, if I were running the ad spend for one of these globocorps I would definitely use the cover of woke-credibility stoking to divest my marketing budget of the massive ROI black box long-con that is social media advertising. But then there would be more stronk independent womyn democrats (redundant) in the streets from the social media marketing makework industry. Progress is full of such a quandaries. Perhaps died suddenly will fix most of this.

Oddly enough, I didn’t see a single name on that list that surprised me. I’m still drinking Heineken though…albeit much less than years past.

Your wife makes bread, right? Beer is even easier. Make your own.

BTW, in Canada, owning a still and all the associated equipment is perfectly legal. Only the act of distilling is illegal.

We found another interesting method of making booze that Canucks should appreciate, Freeze Jacking. AKA Freeze Distillation or Fractional Freezing.

Water will freeze first in any container. As it forms ice, the alcohol separates. Pour off the alcohol, discard the ice. Perfect for that drum of fermented apples or other fruit.

I know it goes far deeper than just those listed but I don’t see anything posted that we use. But then we aren’t big on consumerism either. Doing more with less.

The company I retired from is not on the list. They are really really big and privately held. They are as evil as they get. They were mentioned in an article about Ukraine recently.

Goose Island is good. Hopefully they aren’t part of any woke BS. There is, or was another conglomerate Molson/Coors. I remember listening to something called Meister Brau showcase on Sunday nights on radio. Many will come and many have gone. Just don’t invest in any company that hates half its potential customers because they are friggin’ fools.

Back in the ’70s, Lowenbrau was a huge success in the US, 2nd to Heineken. Then Miller bought them out. The brand disappeared within several years here.

Lowenbrau was excellent. I liked the dark. It was also a bit cheaper than Becks, or St Pauli girl.

As a homebrewer who has been in about 4 homebrew clubs in the last 30+ years I can tell you that they are largely made up of left-leaning liberal types. The last club I’ve been in was an exception and the lefty’s were in the minority. However, 3 of the conservative guys are Freemason’s with 2 of them being 32nd degree so, there’s that!

Nov 28 (Reuters) – Elon Musk accused Apple Inc (AAPL.O) of threatening to block Twitter Inc from its app store without saying why in a series of tweets on Monday that also said the iPhone maker had stopped advertising on the social media platform.

The billionaire CEO of Twitter and Tesla said Apple was pressuring Twitter over content moderation demands.

The action, unconfirmed by Apple, would not be unusual as the company has routinely enforced its rules and previously removed apps such as Gab and Parler.

Parler, which is popular with U.S. conservatives, was restored by Apple in 2021 after the app updated its content and moderation practices, the companies said at the time.

“Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?,” Musk, who took Twitter private for $44 billion last month, said in a tweet.

He later tagged Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook’s Twitter account in another tweet, asking “what’s going on here?”

Apple did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
