I love a good a depression and a famine as much as the next guy, but unfortunately I think it’s going to underperform my hopes. Until everybody’s surviving on oatmeal and chicken livers, I’m going with this being fear porn. Plus, I still have 238 servings of dried eggs from the last supposed famine.

They used to serve US powdered eggs for breakfast at Camp Pendleton … and even C-rations (or K-rations — I can’t remember which) … and the GI cans were really full during those days …

Stumbled across these videos about six months ago. What a great way to spend time, unless you’re the rat of course.

Ugh, I spent all day yesterday off and on watching them. lol. It does look like fun for sure, and I’m not sure which is worse, rats or raccoons. Both of which I have / had some affinity for, having had both as pets growing up. If one was concerned for good reason of starvin, Mr. Rat would be way better than long pig, and there is little chance of running out of them.

If the ‘pubs were smart they’d form a Rat Terrier Committee next January.

Hilarious. The pigs probably make sure no rats hang out in their pens. An old farmer once told me that it is a sight to see when a rattlesnake attempts to cross through a pig pen-the snake invariably gets grabbed by one of the pigs and is violently shaken until it is lifeless.

We just finished harvest season in most of the country. Yet at the most bountiful time of year, prices are high and many things are in short supply. Imagine what it will be like next spring and early summer before the next harvest season.

What a total crock of fear porn BULLSHIT!!!

I shop primarily at Shop Rite, Aldi, and Trader Joe …. and sometimes at Dollar General for non-food items (like aluminum foil, which is 80% cheaper than Shop Rite.

Yes, there are SOME items that are in (seemingly) short supply. For some odd reason Aldi has a problem restocking Panko bread crumbs and grits, and Shop Rite only has chicken liver on the shelf a few days per month. BUT … that seems to be localized to THAT store! I mean, Shop Rite has Panko bread crumbs coming out the yin-yang, and the local butcher has chicken livers every damn time I go there. (I loooove cold chopped chicken-liver with a thick slice of onion on a bagel!!)

Sooooo, other than a FEW items being hard to get, those stores are stocked FULL from the bottom shelf to the top shelf. (Yes, prices are getting ridicules … but I’m NOT arguing that point.)

So, in summary (talking to the narrator), FUCK YOU and your faux dumbass British accent, and an even bigger FUCK YOU for spreading bullshit!!

No shortage of food or juicy burgers or donuts or New York Fries just a simple request by our Gov’t thinking overlords. Stay up to date on your vaccinations. Easy to do! Please visit your local pharmacy to receive this years round of 2 Covid Boosters, 1 Flu shot, 1 Rsv shot, 1 Monkeypox, 1 Shingles. God gave you skin so the Gov’t could perform Pfizer Gene Therapy Acupuncture. You need to ask yourself this.
Are you a human being?
Or are you a human, being told what to do?

I’ve been noticing a much smaller selection of veggies here in the grocery stores. Most of ours Montana come from Mexico etc. in the winter. However luckily we have some local people selling too.
Also we went in yesterday to go to a couple of craft fairs. We stopped for lunch and it took forever. Went to the grocery. Forever waiting. Stayed calm because of employee shortage and told my husband at least it’s not like Russia was standing in line for bread and/or toilet paper- maybe. Conditioning.

If there is actually a 40% increase in working age deaths, plus other stuff…plus no one hardly talks about the employee shortage. If they do they blame it on the dole. Well the dole hasn’t changed in Montana. Not that this state is perfect (ha!). However our ‘govt help’ is very low.

I said smaller supply but in one store was almost empty. Now there were enough to have veggies in your diet but not the abundance we are used to. For instance no red peppers ( my favorite). Manufactured shortage.
Remember there is/was? Only a million people in this big state. How many are working age, not retired, etc.

Also noticed more sales lately. Progresso tomato soup was almost $5/can. Dang. Now on sale. Interesting.
