Me and the misses went out to finish up some Christmas shopping. Stores are dead, especially for this time of the year. Bass Pro had more employees in the store than customers. Just a few years ago (pre-Covid) that store was jammed. Also observed that my packages are coming their usual times. As long as I can remember UPS wouldn’t get to my place till 7pm some days in December. I asked the driver the other day and he said the volume really hasn’t picked up.
This shit is going to explode quick and send shockwaves through and already fragile economy. Once retail starts laying off, it will be clear as day how bad it really is.

Personally, I’ve been a Costco member for more than 35 years … their prices are, basically, the best — and the extra $60 per year that the Executive Membership now costs over and above the regular membership is totally worth it — I end up getting anywhere from $90 – $150 back every year.
