MODERN MEDICINE

Guest Post by Hardscrabble Farmer

Here’s a problem for epidemiologists; people like me.

They told so many lies and promulgated so many ridiculous solutions to their imaginary problems that a significant portion of the population- at least in terms of raw numbers- no longer believe in virology or its basic premise. I’d never encountered the term terrain theory before in my life and assumed, like most people, that illness spread the same way smoke from a fire operates, on a level you couldn’t see, but could be exposed to just by being in the same space.

I find that notion ridiculous now and it sounds a lot more like medieval style medicine than it does reality; vapors, humors and the like. Seeing how many horrible errors they made, if it was indeed motivated by goodwill rather than as a coordinated fraud at all levels, one could only conclude that most people in the medical field were ignorant of the most basic facts regarding human health.

Therein lies the problem going forward. I look at doctors and nurses now the same way I regard politicians and bankers. Greedy frauds siphoning wealth from people by scaring them into thinking they need their services. I don’t know what they are teaching in medical schools, but it’s probably the same thing that you’d get in a gender studies course, useless pap. Maybe I’m throwing the baby out with the bathwater, who knows, but I wouldn’t go to a doctor for anything other than a traumatic injury, even if I was having a heart attack. I would literally rather die on the front yard than get into an ambulance today and if I have any influence on my children, none of their children will ever take any kind of vaccine for anything ever again.

It was like watching a beloved teacher being hauled off in handcuffs for molesting children. Everything you trusted- and that was 90% of medicine for most people- is gone. All of their degrees and titles mean diddly squat today because they proved they had no clue how to handle something that should have been a no brainer by introducing all these brand new solutions that were based not on research or studies, but political mandates. They were just another kind of commissar or capo enforcing diktats of the ruling class rather than trying to care for their patients.

Even if they are right about some things, there are millions of people who will never believe anything they say going forward and for those who have real health concerns, it will probably make a lot of public health issues much worse. In the same way that STD’s are rampant in the AA community because of blowback from the Tuskegee experiment, the aftermath of the Covid hoax will far surpass their worst expectations.

And knowing how they operate, one has to consider the possibility that that may have been the intent all along.

I have no other explanation for the life changes experienced by my wife and I. By all rights we should have been the picture of health 15 years ago. We had a stable home, high income, top shelf health insurance, regular visits to the doctors for check ups and blood work, access to the best foods, good genetics and in our prime years.

And yet we we always ill. I was overweight, had terrible insomnia, sleep apnea, regular bouts of colds and flu, my wife was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, etc.

Now after 15 years with no health coverage, no visits to the doctor, and a life that could only be described as low income bordering poverty, we no longer suffer from any of it. She’s had zero symptoms in over a decade, works with her hands cleaning people’s homes, I’m exposed to more pathogens on a daily basis than bio-lab worker, work longer hours than I did in the military, exposed to every kind of weather, all day, every day and I’m in better shape than anyone in my generational cohort and even better than my own body was at 45. The last medication I took was a post-op antibiotic after the operation on my foot after my fall four years ago.

How does modern medicine explain that?

My belief now is that healthy organisms are resistant to opportunistic infections and diseases. We’re exposed to them constantly, but they can only take advantage of something that is already weakened from stress, poor diet, lack of adequate rest, etc. For the last three years the medical establishment has dismissed such thinking as ridiculous, insisting that obesity is a misunderstood form of fitness, that anxiety should be treated with mind altering drugs that mask it rather than seeking out the root causes and eliminating them from your life and even that our souls can be trapped in the wrong bodies justifying amputation of healthy body parts. If this isn’t some kind of madness I don’t know how you’d describe it.

Sadly, this says it all in a nutshell. I can’t find anything in your post to disagree with.

Allopathy is good for 2 things, surgery and ER. The way that MDs et.al. have prostituted themselves over the Chinese flu, my gal and I agree that neither of us are dying in a hospital like my healthy, 35 year old daughter who went in for a checkup, caught a flesh eating virus and was dead less than 24 hours later.

Death by prescription drugs is the 3rd leading cause of death. You see a doctor about a health problem and are given a drug to treat the symptom. Soon you have a reaction to the drug and are given another to alleviate that. Lather, rinse, repeat. I’ve seen people with dozens of pill bottles and one day you’ll hit that magic Keno combo & off you go to the next plain.

My doctor quit GP over 30 years ago. What I did was get a blood workup, schedule a physical and bring the results for him to look over. After he moved on I began looking into naturopathy. To this day(early 70s), I take no prescription drugs, work 70+ hours a week, work out every day with weights and/or some CV, eat almost just meat and feel great.

All of the ‘usual suspects’ are involved in this tragic destruction of our gut bacteria: over-prescription of antibiotics; processed foods; conventionally-raised meats that are routinely dosed with antibiotics; chlorinated/fluoridated water; agricultural chemicals (RoundUp, etc.); anti-bacterial soaps …

Dr. Cowan has a book out: The Myth of Contagion. It started out as a bestseller on Amazon a couple of years ago but got pulled and you could only find it in some bookstores. The doc thinks the 1918 flu was a response by people to something completely new to the world. Radar, etc. Won’t it be grand when the meter attached to your house is a “smart meter” and you get the full effect of electromagnetic transmissions? While you sleep.

The firemen don’t cause the fire. Bacteria rush to the site of an anomaly and try to clean up the mess. There are no viruses. What are mistaken for viruses are exosomes, which contain some DNA that has been scrounged as being defective.

It’s a grievous breach of social contract. I’m mid-50’s and living in a part of the world most would describe as having sketchy healthcare. Having the right answers interests me greatly, as any visit to the doctor was already risky long before Covid. The digging I’ve done since 2020 proves to me what you are observing: the medical establishment has been in long decline for decades when you look at basic care principles, what we might call Hippocratic principles. It is just a drug machine, pushing pharma products. We have been so deep into the Imaginarium that all of this seemed normal up to some breaking point. Personally I’ve always been a health ‘skeptic’, but generally considered doctors to be knowledgable and well-meaning until recently. Incidentally I, too, was overweight with various problems and achy joints, too much stress, and headed for general decline. All of that turned around when I left my western lifestyle behind.

Can the trust ever be rebuilt in the medical industry? It will take at least a generation, according to some of the leading voices out there. I advocate a type of Medical Galt, and hope that doctors will return to the Hippocratic style 1 on 1 care, operating totally independently from the system.

Jefferson wanted America to be an agrarian country. The greatest beneficiaries of slavery are the descendants of slaves. Early on in their freedom they knew farming and prospered up until The Great Society. The quickest way to drive a culture into the ground is to introduce welfare as in the case of negroes and Indians.

Best I could find in a quick search for life expectancy in 1800 was about 40 years. Imagine food grown in 1800 combined with modern sanitation, which in my mind accounts for close to 100% of the gains in longevity.

That’s right Auntie. (((They))) have done the deed and now await the results of death of the multitudes. It’s a done deal and nothing will bring back those who have been murdered by the medical establishment.

I have been treating myself for decades, will continue to do so. I have never understood why people want to take a long list of drugs daily and continue until they check out of this Earthly plane. Back in the day a good doctor would not let a patient in their care stay on a drug for long. It seems rather stupid to believe that you would need 10 prescriptions daily to maintain health?? Common sense has left the building. Fine article on HSF’s part, where were the sensible articles prior to Covid? Where were sensible articles twenty or thirty years ago?

…not this bad stuff, though.
Thank you GOP . You’ve always got our back.

Doctors are speaking out against a new law that arguably paves the way for the FDA to prohibit treatments for purposes it hasn’t expressly authorized, going far beyond highly politicized subjects such as treating COVID-19 with ivermectin.

The authority to ban off-label uses was buried on page 3,542 of the 4,155-page omnibus appropriations bill signed into law at year’s end, though it’s specifically applied to “banned devices.”

one proof of the brainwashing that has taken place in america that i’ve witnessed is the fear (mainly/not exclusively women) of not having medical insurance. i’ve witnessed this fear working against guys who wanted to change jobs; wives weren’t onboard because medical benes weren’t part of the deals the guys were looking at. these were mainly fairly radical career changes that the guys were looking at, but were jobs the guys thought they would really love. all but one stayed with their “grind” jobs.
around ’99 i was working as a trim carpenter for a local builder who offered insurance, but it was more than i wanted to pay . of course i was quite a bit younger then, and not yet married, so i declined. i ended up breaking a bone in my wrist while playing softball, and paid cash for all medical bills which also included surgery on said wrist. i did the math when all was said and done, and (not surprisingly) saved money by paying cash/not paying for the insurance. doc who did the surgery was more than happy to talk about a cash deal.

Rockefeller has us exactly where he wants us.

There could have been a happy mixing of homeopathy and allopathy but no. Rockefeller would keep his homeopathy for his family and force everyone else into allopathy. Most drugs have some petroleum by-product in them. Gotta make just one dollar more.

I have decided that oligarchs (billionaires) are dangerous because after having more money than they can spend, they get bored and have to interfere with people who just want to be left alone.

I am with you will all that HSF. I am almost 74 and have not been to a doctor for over 40 years. I am a medical herbalist well versed in Chinese, Ayurvedic and Western herbal knowledge. The “terrain” is a major part of these ancient philosophies and I live by the principles. I told my husband Richard that if I have a heart attack or anything else just bring me out to the beautiful gardens, give me a blanket and pillow and let me go. I have seen thousands of patients over the years and have developed a healthy skeptic attitude of the medical profession by what I have seen in the clinic and also the deaths of my parents due to iatrogenic causes ( dr. induced). It can be a nightmare once the “system” has you in their clutches. Using some of the diagnostic techniques, emergency medicine for things like hernia or bones, going to the dentist, or eye doctor for treatment is great but the “system, the Medical Corporation, is heartless.

Thanks for posting- seeds oils and hydrogenated oils are poisons- one of the reasons eating at any restaurant is unhealthy.
Also it’s BS that vegetables are loaded with good nutrition and good for you. Meat has many times the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Best balanced meal- eggs, bacon, full fat yogurt. Stay away from anything labeled low fat as it just contains sugar of some type to make it palatable- another scam. As stated above several times- simple whole foods best- avoid prepared foods.

This article is 100% spot on. I look at doctors as hucksters now, just sales people for Big Pharma. I trust them about as much as I trust a used car salesman. If there is any bright spot in this is that more people will start questioning all those unnecessary tests, drugs and scans that do nothing but line their pockets. Old people are constantly at the doctor and on 15 different medications but they just seem to decline in health while older folks who never go to the doctor are still active. That says it all.

The best way to avoid illness is to get rid of your tv, go outside more, walk, spend time with people, eat good organic food and stay clean. Hysteria weakens the immune system.

I’m not sure blood tests are all that. I don’t use pharma drugs but when I retired 2 years ago I decided to go get a check up. Idea was they could give me a clue about some nagging problems. Then I would use the usual natural methods to heal. They did over 50 blood and urine tests and every one came back within their normal range. Went to 5 different specialists and none had anything useful to say. Guess I didn’t fit into one of their computer defined “diseases”. Total waste of time.

A metal stem is shoved into the thighbone. My friend just informed me that the metal stem “slipped” farther down into the bone. Makes me wonder if you should do a hip replacement when you are that old and the bones have become “lacy”. But you know, medicare and all. They get paid regardless of whether it works or not.

A simple steroid shot might have helped the pain. Surgery is extremely risky at that age.

You reminded me….. one of the reasons so many old people have bone problems is that they stay inside too much and become deficient in vitamin D. Take your elderly relatives outside when it’s sunny and let them soak up some D.

Good natural foods, mostly red meats (google paleo diet)as little processed foods as possible, exercise, fresh air and sunlight are the first steps. A good Naturopath, Acupuncture, Chiropratic can help.

First premise, is SLEEP! It is the foundation of good health – not just a pillar of it. Great book, “Why We Sleep” by Matthew Walker. Eat real food, things that can “Rot”, Eggs, meat, dairy, veggies etc. Get rid of all seed oil such as canola, corn etc. These oils change the terrain and cause inflammation. So start with first, Sleep and then some dietary changes.

Totally agree. Any time I come down with a cold or flu it’s always been when I was not sleeping well. Sunlight and water are important too. Also try to eat at least 3 colorful vegetables a day. The more color the more vitamins.

F-M-N: Go for it, never too late.

Didn’t learn the terrain theory until this big scam, but maybe I’ve been doing something right exceptionally successfully for quite a while now, so can only say what I’ve done. There’s been zero feeling of sacrifice, better stuff tastes better! I’m now literally 30+ years without even a cold.

I haven’t had a soda or red meat or a visit to any chain restaurant for 40 years. Stopped occasional chicken a decade ago and have all the good fish as much as possible. I actually believe the human body may be a carnivore, but also that there really is something to eating the flesh of tortured animals living miserable lives, fed garbage unnatural to them and being tended to by sadists without any empathy for them whatsoever.

I’ve avoided non-organic anything like the plague, and big corp processed/packaged foods and any oil but olive. I avoid any soy or soy by-product and try to buy only heirloom wheat anything. Only use Jovial rice pastas. I use organic butter, cream and sugar freely, and go through lots of honey. I’d have wine, but I’m tired of failing to pick anything good at any price.

But I also don’t stress about occasional rule breaking, like not having a clue what a seemingly ‘good’ restaurant really used. And I suspect a huge supportive factor to my health is how clean my mind is of fear or religious delusions.

I also think everyone who has voiced suspicions about the health effects of keeping unhappy jobs for the fear of losing health insurance have nailed it. I saw that trap even in my 20’s and deliberately didn’t do that my whole life. But health ‘insurance’ was also another ‘something’ to apply a motto I lived by – don’t plan for what you don’t want! If you plan to need something out of fear of needing it you will create needing it!! I avoided all nonmandatory insurance, seat belts, and all sorts of other societal ‘safety’ things and instead, in my mind, PLANNED to not need them and let go of any concern. The benefits and lack of noose feeling in both health and daily living for having lived that motto has been fantastic and I’d do every bit of it all again.

Sure, ask away, I’ll check back tomorrow. I know coconut oil is fantastic, especially for high smoke point which olive oil doesn’t have. I just don’t like to give things the coconut taste usually.

I guess to FMN I’d summarize the bottom line about terrain – just do everything possible to not toxify your terrain both body AND mind.

Oh well. At least Sarasota has pretty beaches, because surely their hospital is not a top notch place to be.

if it was indeed motivated by goodwill rather than as a coordinated fraud at all levels

I enjoyed reading your article HSF. I believe there’s number of people who are coming around to your way of thinking.

The problem with a college education is that it’s in fact now indoctrination. If you get a degree in mathematics, you are indoctrinated into thinking like a “mathematician”. One professor actually referred to the process as being “assimilated into the Math Borg”. If you become a medical doctor, you are indoctrinated into thinking like a “medical doctor”. Those who hold divergent points of view are either pressured into toeing the line, ostracized, or forced out of the profession. The result is doctors will parrot what they have been told without question. They will tell you to get the covid shot, flu shot, shingle shot, etc. without questioning whether or not shots actually work. Few will suggest alternative forms of medicine for fear of being labeled a quack. I do not think the only problem in play is fraud, but I suspect it does play a part.

Thanks for an enjoyable read.

Around half a decade ago, I cut my dominant index finger in a kickback on a tablesaw. I had insurance. Right away, I knew it wasn’t great and I would need stitches, but there wasn’t anything hanging out and I still could bend my finger.

What a fucking joke the ER was. The cocksuckers are more worried about getting all of your information so that they can bill you and get overpaid for services. This pile of shit doctor wanted to do X rays, and I questioned that. What the hell is the point, I need stitches. He said he wanted to know if it cut into the bone, and that it may need surgery.

I told him that I wasn’t going to have surgery, and that I just needed stitches. He asked if I had any medical training, and I wasn’t quick enough on my feet that morning to ask him if he did. I relented and got bombarded with X rays for no good reason, and yes the cut went into the bone. Pretty cool looking, nearly like a Bishop in a chess set.

He wrote me a prescription for antibiotics, and said that a specialist would take care of me that afternoon. Great, thought I, but 6 hours later this damn specialist saw me and wanted to do surgery. I kept my cool, and asked him how much and when. He said $5000 and Thursday, two days later.

I walked out and got my antibiotics, and took extreme caution on sanitation for the next 3 weeks as it healed over on its own. It hurt like hell the first few days, but I kept it clean and changed the bandages out daily. Switched to my other hand for everything for about a month.

This fuckery ended up costing me almost $1500 out of pocket for a painkiller in the ER, and the condescension of an over educated asswipe or two.

Lesson learned, I won’t be going back conscious.

After a year, I had full function and use of that finger and the numbness went away. I have a funky fingernail that requires a few extra seconds of cutting, but it doesn’t even look bad.

I can still play piano and hold a guitar pick with it, and I regained the dexterity to hold onto a small nut and washer whilst reaching into a blind area doing automotive restoration work.

I would bet a small fortune that the $5000 surgery would have given me no better outcome.

Sounds about right. A child we know hit his chin open and needed a couple of stitches. Pediatrician wouldn’t do it (which is a joke, too. What are you, just a glorified triage nurse?). Took 5 hours waiting in the ER, some numbing cream and a resident putting in 3 stitches. $1500

I keep sutures, needles, forceps, numbing cream and skin glue at home for a reason.

Agree with your conclusion here HSF. For any who want to take it a step further, look into German New Medicine. The prevailing theory is that the body doesn’t make mistakes. Everything it does is on purpose to heal itself.

Years ago my mom, an RN, was telling me she started taking drugs for heartburn. I responded with something like, “Mom, when you get heartburn your body is trying to tell you something: ‘Change your diet, dumbass!’. When you pop a pill you just continue to abuse your body and suppress the warning signs.”

I got a blank stare in response. She’d never thought about it. As is typical of medical professionals, she was trying to cure the symptom, not the problem.

My uncle, a doctor told us if we want to live a long, healthy life to avoid doctors except for emergencies. Doctors will tell their families things they’d never admit to patients.

Western medicine went downhill when they no longer called it ‘medical arts.’ Instead, they pretend it’s ‘Science’. Doctors are pill-pushers trained to diagnose and prescribe the pharmaceuticals their computer program tells them. They’re no more than technicians.

Each one of us is responsible for our health. If you rely on the medical system to keep you healthy, bend over and kiss it goodbye. Use the medical system as just another tool in your kit.

There are more than a dozen lifestyle choices we make. Not making a choice is also a choice. These include nutrition (do the opposite of the government’s food pyramid,) avoiding junk and over-processed food, weight control, stress management, regular fasting, exercise, quality sleep, social support, detox, etc. The sooner you start, the longer you’ll live.

Since I turned 50 recently, they want you to get colonoscopies and mammograms and what not. I am not sure if I had already made up my mind beforehand (that I didn’t want anything to do with that), but I went on a quest to look at the real benefits and drawbacks about it. “Audio et altera pars”. You need to hear BOTH sides of a story, and God knows we hear enough from the pink ribbon front. I read the book by Dr. Peter Gotzsche about the fraud that is mammography screening and I read “Dressed to kill”, which shows the association between breast cancer and bra wearing. Sounds crazy, right? I thought the same at first.

In any event, I will not participate in any of that screening nonsense. Instead, I will try to do things that actually PREVENT cancer rather than detect it: eat healthier, exercise more, lose weight. Oh, and I now wear a bra only when I leave the house. Some days, when I stay home all day, those boobs are flapping in the wind all day long.

Lots of good comments and advice here. Something not mentioned is genetics. Some of us were born with good genes for longevity. My dad worked in a chemical plant and lived to 88. My mom made it to 100 after smoking from her teen years until she was 60. Both lived on a small farm and spent a lot of time outside working in the fresh air and sunshine. They had their share of grief and trauma but carried on. They drank wonderful spring water piped to the house when I was a kid. Lots of factors .

Yep, my family on my father’s side were raised making likker…fed the mash to the hogs, et’ fatback and hamhocks with greens and beans their entire lives an all lived into their late 80’s. My oldest Uncle drank a quart of whiskey a day, smoked huge cigars and rode his bicycle up until he died at 88. They were hard men with good genes…now the family is made up of soft soyboys pwnd by their fat stupid women, with weak genes and manboobs. I don’t even recognize the younger generation of sugary drink swillers and cake eaters as the progeny of my Uncles and fathers. Great article HSF. I haven’t been to a doctor in years and have never felt better. I exercise, for the most part eat healthy, work hard, don’t drink, don’t worry much, and didn’t get vaccinated. My vaccinated mother almost died of pulmonary embolisms. My vaccinated brother just had his bladder and prostrate removed because of an unusually virulent form of bladder cancer. My vaccinated sister, a doctor, had a nasty case of Covid that became so-called long Covid from which she is still not completely recovered. Next to the government itself, I think the medical/medical insurance system is this country’s second largest organized crime racket.

Thank you so much for your thoughts, Hardscrabble Farmer. I have been around probably as long as you have and watched the capture of science from observation and humble respect for the wonders of natural systems to the present, well, disrespect is not a strong enough word, for all life and ridiculous attempts at empty ‘immortality’ that misses the point of humanity so completely. Martine Rothblatt, Crispr, ‘scientists’ thinking of living systems as a collection of Lego pieces–this is where all the funding goes. Fortunately, Nature still rewards those who honor it in our personal way. Mortality is a natural part of being on this Earth, and being afraid of death is an illness. I too benefit from ‘poverty’–I am also healthier now than I have ever been.
