AMERICAN EMPIRE EXPIRATION DATE

American Empire at 234 years.

“I do not say that democracy has been more pernicious on the whole, and in the long run, than monarchy or aristocracy. Democracy has never been and never can be so durable as aristocracy or monarchy; but while it lasts, it is more bloody than either. … Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. It is in vain to say that democracy is less vain, less proud, less selfish, less ambitious, or less avaricious than aristocracy or monarchy.

It is not true, in fact, and nowhere appears in history. Those passions are the same in all men, under all forms of simple government, and when unchecked, produce the same effects of fraud, violence, and cruelty. When clear prospects are opened before vanity, pride, avarice, or ambition, for their easy gratification, it is hard for the most considerate philosophers and the most conscientious moralists to resist the temptation. Individuals have conquered themselves. Nations and large bodies of men, never.” John Adams

As much as it is heartening to see large protests agains the scum; don’t hold your breath. The Sacks-of-Gold-Man alumni and WEPH front-line puppet will be there until his owners want him gone and not sooner.

Auntie is of the opinion, as Macron survived his recent “no confidence” vote at the Assembly Nationale, that the only hope for les amis de la Liberte is a military coup against the demonic creep. Not going to happen.

No matter how much they protest you can’t squeeze blood out of a stone.

Someone tell these clowns that they lost their colonial possessions in Africa and now have to live of what they produce and nothing more.

In other words your country can’t afford your pensions. Unless you clowns want to recolonize Africa and kill another couple million Africans.

Why do you clowns think macaroni was running around all of Africa before he made this ” decision” ?

The overlords have stolen your pensions and the Africans are unwilling to give your their resources for free.

And when was the last time an average consumer around the world bought something useful made in France? ROFL..

Citroen and Peugeot are about all you have.

Good luck with what’s coming for your shit hole of a country when there aren’t anymore Africans and Arabs to slaughter on the cheaper for free resources and manual labor.

Roman Empire 27 BC- 180 AD?
What about 395?
476?
1453?
But that is an exception.
Generally the article makes sense.

The dates are all off

The UK wasn’t worth a damn after 1900.

I think this is mixing up reserve currency status with empire status. Not always the same thing as one lags the other.

I thought the Roman Empire ended in 476, and that’s only if you don’t count the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, which lasted another millennium. I thought the Arab Empire lasted into the thirteenth century. I thought the Ottoman Empire didn’t finally die till the early 20th century. But what do I know?

No insults intended, but I don’t believe you guys read the Adams quote and made the ( I think) obvious connection: he was talking about democracies ( which the US allegedly is) so an American empire might only last as long as most “democracies”. Of course, since the US stopped being a Republic and became whatever it is now, the mileage may vary. Just my $0.02.

So why then include in the list assorted empires that were not even remotely close to being democracies if restricted to only the democracies? Most of the list were not. They were empires run by elites. Even the Roman Republic was run by a small core of elites. As were the Greek city-states and the assorted powers that rose up after Alexander The Great was gone.

After the empire was divided east and west, yes.

It was Constantinople. The name Byzantium was assigned to the empire after it fell. The empire always called itself Roman when it existed. Right up to 1453.

Yeah WW1 ended the Ottoman’s but only quicker, it was already dying. The specific date of the end of an Empire is hard to pin down unless it happens in one epic battle, and that seldom happens

The result would take you and every other metal owner with it. Why? Because the sheeple would be told by the fake news that it is the fault of those who own metals, resulting in an easy target to blame and destroy.

Just remember that eventually, every gun will run out of ammunition. That is a fact not open for debate.

Democracy has never been and never can be so durable as aristocracy or monarchy; but while it lasts, it is more bloody than either.

If you want bloody, count up the dead in communist China and Soviet Russia. If you include the wars they have started, the count gets even higher. Communism, which is just a form of monarchy, is probably the bloodiest form of government in human history. Further examples of bloody “monarchies” are Hitler’s Germany and the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia.

Communist China and the Soviet Union wouldn’t show up for over another one hundred years after the quote was made. Same for the Nazis. You might want to go back to the second grade and start over with your history lessons.

“In early March, President Biden hosted German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Washington. The trip included only two public events—a brief pro forma exchange of compliments between Biden and Scholz before the White House press corps, with no questions allowed; and a CNN interview with Scholz by Fareed Zakaria, who did not touch on the pipeline allegations. The chancellor had flown to Washington with no members of the German press on board, no formal dinner scheduled, and the two world leaders were not slated to conduct a press conference, as routinely happens at such high-profile meetings. Instead, it was later reported that Biden and Scholz had an 80-minute meeting, with no aides present for much of the time. There have been no statements or written understandings made public since then by either government, but I was told by someone with access to diplomatic intelligence that there was a discussion of the pipeline exposé and, as a result, certain elements in the Central Intelligence Agency were asked to prepare a cover story in collaboration with German intelligence that would provide the American and German press with an alternative version for the destruction of Nord Stream 2. In the words of the intelligence community, the agency was “to pulse the system” in an effort to discount the claim that Biden had ordered the pipelines’ destruction.”

So what is it with empires collapsing after roughly 12 generations? That seems too odd to just be a coincidence. Is this like a leap year thing for fourth turnings?

Egyptian Empire lasted 27 centuries.
About 3,000 years.

Not continuously. Along the way Egypt was invaded and destroyed multiple times. Only to rise again. You are just repeating a 19th Century myth that was perpetuated by Victorians and was still taught in schools as recently as the 1980s.

Egypt was never an empire. For most of its existence, it wasn’t even unified under a single ruler as a kingdom. There was an Upper Kingdom and a Lower Kingdom. Upper and lower taken from the elevation of the Nile. After Alexander The Great, it was Greek-owned and operated. The Ptolemy Dynasty was Greek, not Egyptian.

According to USDA data, foreign investors owned at least 35.2 million acres of U.S. agricultural land in 2019—2.7 percent of U.S. farmland, an area almost the size of Iowa.

Iowa is more than 2.7% of farmland in the country. Considering how many states in the South are completely lacking in what can be considered farmland when compared to the Midwest, where the really serious production happens.

Now if Georgia was being used…

…it would be a more believable comparison, as most of Georgia is heavily forested because most of the remaining soil is garbage.
