I worked for many years with about 25% Black co-workers. They were (as you might presume) among the upper 20% as far as behavior, ethics, and intellect — which brought them within the low/average for Whites. What I noticed (in general) was:
1) No, they are not too bright. They do not differentiate between universals, generals, specifics. In other words they cannot tell the difference between “All A are B”, “Some A are B”, and “That A is B”.
2) They are not particularly curious.
3) They are VERY clannish and prone to act in packs or tribes.
4) They are not very honest, especially when not watched.
5) They do not have a guilty conscience.
6) They do not place much value on long term results. A piece of cake right now is worth 100 pieces of cake next week.
7) A lot of White behavior is seen as that of “chumps”. They do not see present behavior as a predictor of future results. They simply DO NOT RECOGNIZE that the White guy got promoted because he stayed late all last year to finish projects. All they see is “White guy is a chump but he got promoted.” Therefore it MUST be his skin.
8) Their sense of humor is a very simple cross between silly Three Stooges and a man being crushed by a train.
I could go on. I will only say that when White Trash does the same things as Black Trash, the results are always the same.

You got it in one. My experiences in South Africa confirms all you say.
