In my world I always seek out the advice of people who have demonstrated knowledge, confidence and success in whatever area I am interested in. I understand mistakes, I have made more than I can count during my lifetime, that is the human condition, but I do not opine on things I have been mistaken about except as a cautionary tale. If I master something or show far more success at it than failure, then I share that knowledge.
Jordan Peterson has two handicaps when it comes to giving advice; he often lies in order to make a point and he offers his opinions on things which he clearly failed to grasp.
Like Trump, he offends those who deserve it and because he is articulate and composed- most of the time- he is entertaining when he does it. That’s not enough to qualify as a thought leader and considering his original actions surrounding the flu hoax, his internal voice seems to be miscalibrated.
