Lying’s not a crime, we’re told (unless we lie to them, of course). So what if the perpetrators ruined a presidency, torpedoed the Constitution, and drew the world much closer to WW III? So what if they made the concept of democracy a joke? A sick and dying society gets by on lies, I guess. Get over it; sour grapes beget a vile whine, after all. I mean, why fret about nonsense like the cancerous deep state devastating the country, an impending Greatest Depression, and NATO getting its collective ass kicked when we have real problems like cows farting, people being addressed by the wrong pronoun, white men being white men, children who can’t chop off their sexual organs at will, poor Bolivians who can’t make their way to the wide-open border to leech off us for life, and blacks unable to steal a decent living because Kunta Kinte was kidnapped in Africa 250 years ago?
How’d I get on that tangent? Never mind. The point is Durham provided enough evidence to put these gangsters in jail forever, but he recommended no charges. The FBI and DOJ, “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law,” he concluded. No shit. ‘That’s bad. You shouldn’t do that again. Now let’s put all this behind us and do better next time.’ The mere appearance of justice served while letting the guilty get off scot-free; that was his entire purpose.
