The obvious problem is the fake system called “democracy” which is built to create division. Everyone should “win” from a legitimate system of governance regardless of who they vote for. The poor lost souls living like animals on the streets should be looked after by society, not left to cause damage or be victimised by law, the only 2 options available, apparently. The well being of our fellow citizens should always be society’s first priority. The money and resources exist in abundance, but not the will.
Unconscious/mechanical humanity broadly falls into 3 mind types; intellectual, emotional and instinctive. This website attracts mainly intellectual types so everyone here demands that the world be run according to “logic”. But that doesn’t satisfy emotional or instinctive types. Their wishes are just as relevant and they see “logic” as a heartless and divisive way to order society.
You can see it in the Trump vs. Biden debate. Intellectual types rationalise that Trump introduced a number of workable reforms, that the various statistics/measures showed improvement etc., the emotional types can only see that he was divisive and rude. I have this conversation every day with people who hate Trump and tell me they would vote for Biden simply because he isn’t Trump. An intellectual type will declare them “irrational”, but it’s far more complicated. Everybody is right… and wrong.
This is the real meaning of the story of the Tower of Babel (built of bricks and slime, not stone and mortar) and all human constructs. Nobody is speaking the same language.
And this is why when a real leader appears, ie. Jesus, the mob will howl for his destruction, for his objective insight offends all of the unconscious. This will only change when the consciousness of humanity is raised and objective truth is revealed to enough people to create a viral change in human behaviour.
The last time I visited was back in the 80s, I took the train down from Boston to spend a few days visiting a college friend who was going to Temple Law school.
We went to a game at The Vet, and, I think it was Von Hayes, hit two home runs in the same inning.
My friend lived on Osage Avenue, his future wife lived just off Rittenhouse Square. It wasn’t bad at all. Had some amazing cheese steak sandwiches. I walked around the Independence Hall area,.
