THIS DAY IN HISTORY – President Woodrow Wilson speaks in favor of female suffrage – 1918

Via History.com

On September 30, 1918, President Woodrow Wilson gives a speech before Congress in support of guaranteeing women the right to vote. Although the House of Representatives had approved a 19th constitutional amendment giving women suffrage, the Senate had yet to vote on the measure.

Wilson had actually maintained a somewhat lukewarm attitude toward women’s suffrage throughout his first term (1913-1917). In 1917, he had been picketed by suffragists outside the White House who berated him for paying mere lip service to their cause. The protests reached a crescendo when several women were arrested, jailed and went on a hunger strike.

Wilson was appalled to learn that the jailed suffragists were being force-fed and he finally stepped in to champion their cause. Suffragists and their supporters agreed that Wilson had a debt to pay to the country’s women, who at the time were asked to support their sons and husbands fighting overseas in the First World War and who were contributing to the war effort on the home front. In his September 30 speech to Congress, Wilson acknowledged this debt, saying “we have made partners of the women in this war…Shall we admit them only to a partnership of suffering and sacrifice and toil and not to a partnership of privilege and right?”

Wilson’s stirring words on that day failed to drum up the necessary votes to pass the amendment. The bill died in the Senate and it would be another year before Congress finally passed the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote.

And the libtards are going on about women’s rights; I ask: What rights do men have that women don’t? Response: I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

How about the right to pee without men who say they are women in the bathroom? Or compete in sport without men who say they are women ruining the competition? Or men being crowned home coming queen?
But if a father does not want his son turned into a eunuch, the government will remove his parental rights.

The circle is now complete.

Wilson spent his formative years in Augusta, GA. Those were “reconstruction years”. Later, he seems to have been educated, mostly in the N.East. Most notably, Princeton, NJ, though it was not formally known as “Princeton” at that time. He then garnered a Theological degree, Minister of The Presbyterian Church.
That was only a little over 100 years ago.
It has always amazed me that people do not associate the words Presbyterian and the word presbyopia in some sort of kind of rhyme ?
Wilson gave ‘US’ a Direct Income tax (illegal, even now) and the IRS by virtue of the so-called Federal Reserve; which is neither Federal nor a Reserve. It is the imposition of a Central Bank run by foreign entities with no regard of the Constitution under no control of the Federal gov’t. (Read G. Edward…for one).

Please allow me to tell you of one of my personal experiences. One of my female family relations married such a creature that so much reminds me of Wilson. For this little missive, I will refer to ‘him’ as ‘F.’ My blood relation, after a previous divorce, starts dating this cowish, pussified, “woke-ish” ‘man’. (sorry, it’s true). F. never touches anything dirty, never seems to take his hands out of his pockets, unless it is to read papers.
He seems to love sitting on his ass, brags about how he does his own tax reports to the IRS,
etc. Talks continuously about administration and the necessity of all in compliance of what I would call compliance/obeisance/top down PRAXIS/PROCOL. I know, this my personal impression. He tries hard to put on the airs of superiority, elitism, and knowledge of the world. You would do well to sit at his feet and feed on his tidbits of insights… This smarmy, little piece… Anyway he is a Graduate of some Seminary, got his Divinity degree, I guess
and has never had a church ministry. Seems he went straight to Administration, in other charities with a christian banner. He is a self-proclaimed Presbyterian minister.

Presbyterians?
They make great ‘pie’. [Cobbler?]

The problem you will discover with ANY human staffed organization is that it is staffed with humans. Humans who are likely not all on the same page, or who have personality defects and such.

I am proudly not on the same page as anyone I know.

It becomes lots and lots of fun when they try (with duress) insert themselves into your life. Presbyterianism is not the point, excepting as a parallel to Wilson.
