Tucker Carlson releases interview with Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin

They discussed ‘new liberalism’ and its role in the fate of Western civilization

American journalist Tucker Carlson has released a 20-minute interview with high-profile Russian philosopher and political commentator Aleksandr Dugin. The conversation was published on Carlson’s YouTube channel on Monday.

Dugin has been described by Western media as ‘Putin’s brain’ due to his supposed influence on the Russian president and the influence of his work on the country’s elite in general.

A fervent critic of the West and foreign policy hawk, Dugin passionately supports Russia’s military operation against Kiev, and has stated that an independent Ukrainian state “should not exist.”

In 2022, his daughter Darya was killed in a car bombing, which the Russian authorities claim was orchestrated by Ukrainian agents. Several media outlets subsequently cited unnamed US intelligence officials as saying Washington believes that the Ukrainian authorities were indeed involved in the assassination.

Carlson introduced Dugin as “a writer who writes about big ideas,” claiming that his books have been “banned by the Biden administration” in the US. “You cannot buy them on Amazon,” he said.

During the conversation, Dugin argued that liberal ideology, which has essentially become uncontested in the West since the fall of the Soviet Union, is leading to the demise of the concept of the family. “Family is [being] destroyed in favor of this individualism,” he said, adding that the natural progression of liberalism will lead to “abandoned human identity.”

“Next phase: New liberalism. Now it is not about the rule of a majority, but it is about the rule of minorities. It is not about individual freedom, but it is about woke-ism,” Dugin said. “It is not democracy. It is totalitarianism.”

Interesting interview, with the demise of the old Soviet Union the American progressive left was left without a Valhalla. The international stranglehold that Marxism has on the world was finally recognized by the Russian people. If only it would be recognized by the West!

Having lived through most of it and seeing it from various perspectives around the globe, I believe the man is undoubtedly correct.

This interview presents as just another psyop… and one that is specifically targeting the “alt-right” ideological spectrum – namely the patriots and truth movement, respectively = those who support Glenn Beck’s brand of… shall we say… selective neoconism and Tucker’s (seeming) renegade resistance against the status quo.

While driving this afternoon, I listened to Beck express concern over the cunningly subversive Aleksandr Dugin and his (plausible-sounding) slander against classic liberalism. In fact, Glenn seemed worried while performing the balancing act of opposing Dugin’s Putin-friendly perspectives while alternately (albeit mildly) scolding and complementing Tucker.

I was hoping TBP would post something on the interview…. and…. honestly… I was expecting more from Dugin.

A.D. is either not as brilliant as everyone thinks he is… or… he’s part of the pysop; and, honestly, I don’t care which one.

Dugin fails to identify Wokism as Marxist and, instead, misdiagnoses individualism as the bane of the West.

He blames individualism for Wokism, transgenderism, Protestantism, et al, and conflates them all

Transcendent values are not considered in the interview. Therefore, individualism is said to have resulted in the fracturing of the West – which is akin to blaming liberty without any mention of the required, corresponding responsibility which has been abandoned in the unreality of post-modernism.

The old liberalism manifested into modernity but the new liberalism is just post-modern relativism. Nihilism/transhumanism requires the negation of reality – but Dugin doesn’t address any of that.

Instead, Dugin presents Putin as a genuine threat to the NWO because of Russian traditionalism and family values

Most likely, this psyop was aired to promote the fake binary of the multi-national order (of which Trump will support if elected) vs. the WEF / WHO / Banking Cabal’s Agenda 2030 / NWO. It’s a phony polemic because the new global order will surely be blended into separate (multi-national) economic regions; and securing alt-right / nationalist / patriot / Trumpster support of Putin’s vision streamlines the transition no matter who “wins” in November (either the easy, or hard, way).

The high-speed daily saturation of arbitrary polemics is a sign of some next-level b*llshit. So much so, it’s becoming impossible to discern, distill, and dispute – which is surely part of the plan

Dude ,you pretty much did it again !!!! I also listened to that interview on the road this morning on a longer than usual commute( up north to the res to build some landings and steps in a couple garages on some houses we framed up there) and came away disappointed as well .Dugan was billed as a philosopher, and a Russian one at that ( Russians aren’t stupid people in the main )so I expected to be challenged intellectually by his discourse , but instead like you I found it pretty darn stinking superficial . its not like I was particularly in any kind of strong opposition to most of what he had to say . it was more like, dirp , yeah the guy is is basically at the level of me twenty years ago .

I think he did damned well for fifteen minutes in a foreign fucking language. Let’s see YOU speak extemporaneously for fifteen minutes in Russian…on short notice!

Dugin’s father was a GRU/KGB official. Dugin founded the National Bolshevik Party after he was thrown out of school for extremely poor grades. He’s not a thing more than a rotten Bolshie shit-stirrer and REALLY not very smart, Uncola. Don’t be expecting big things from a shill.

The evidence is that Putin is part of the NWO, therefore Dugin is a shill. That was a great analysis, Uncola.

I felt his argument was a stupid word game, that is, A is essentially B, they’re 90% the same thing, can’t we just say A is B? Repeat. Once you reach Z, there’s hardly any A left in there, but he’s still concluding, and so A is Z.

Specifically his chain is like, realism -> individualism -> (classical) liberalism -> wokism -> transhumanism -> terminators.

A lot of what he’s bashing is my own positions of techno-libertarian-realism, which he says rules the world, ruins everything, and is one step away from terminators. I assure him, I am not popular, I do not rule the world, and I have not ruined it.

I particularly find his western scifi dystopic argument to be silly and unrealistic, and I should emphasize, the whole terminators thing is serious and literal, he expects our future to be swarms of Nazi robots that go around shooting people for the fun of it, I have a lot of complaints with this but at the least, fiction can’t just be directly translated into expectations. First, western movies all double as elitist propaganda. This isn’t some hidden conspiracy. Sure, the people making it would word it slightly differently, but the writers are quite clear about pushing an agenda. Second, western movies are meant to entertain western audiences, who want excitement, which largely comes from danger and conflict, which pushes our scifi towards dystopian fiction, because that’s where the action is.

It’s also not the case that we just can’t imagine technology going well. I can list off tons of scifi stories with transhumanism/AI/etc where there’s nothing particularly bad going on, or the problem is an alien invasion and humans and AI must work together to fight it off, or etc. It’s just that none of those catch Hollywood’s interest, and then they go unnoticed by Aleksandr Dugin.

His solution to all this is that Martin Luther was a mistake, and we need to give up on progress and just behave ourselves as proper god fearing catholics. Because, after all, progress and progressivism are basically the same, right? No choice but a return to the middle ages.
