THIS DAY IN HISTORY – National Guard kills four students in Kent State shootings – 1970

History.com

On May 4, 1970, in Kent, Ohio, 28 National Guardsmen fire their weapons at a group of anti-war demonstrators on the Kent State University campus, killing four students, wounding eight, and permanently paralyzing another. The tragedy was a watershed moment for a nation divided by the conflict in Vietnam, and further galvanized the anti-war movement.

Two days earlier, on May 2, National Guard troops were called to Kent to suppress students rioting in protest of the Vietnam War and the U.S. invasion of Cambodia. The next day, scattered protests were dispersed by tear gas, and on May 4 class resumed at Kent State University. By noon that day, despite a ban on rallies, some 2,000 people had assembled on the campus. National Guard troops arrived and ordered the crowd to disperse, fired tear gas, and advanced against the students with bayonets fixed on their rifles. Some of the protesters, refusing to yield, responded by throwing rocks and verbally taunting the troops.

Minutes later, without firing a warning shot, the Guardsmen discharged more than 60 rounds toward a group of demonstrators in a nearby parking lot, killing four and wounding nine. The closest casualty was 20 yards away, and the farthest was almost 250 yards away. After a period of disbelief, shock, and attempts at first aid, angry students gathered on a nearby slope and were again ordered to move by the Guardsmen. Faculty members were able to convince the group to disperse, and further bloodshed was prevented.

The shootings led to protests on college campuses across the country. Photographs of the massacre became enduring images of the anti-war movement. In 1974, at the end of a criminal investigation, a federal court dropped all charges levied against eight Ohio National Guardsmen for their role in the Kent State students’ deaths.

The author left out the part that demonstrations all over the country stopped.

Mainstream historians claim that students were protesting the Vietnam War at Kent State
University in Kent, Ohio, on May 4, 1970, at 12:24 pm when 29 National Guardsmen shot 67
rounds over 13 seconds in response to sniper fire. This allegedly killed four and wounded nine
students, some of whom were simply walking to class or observing from a distance.
A popular conspiracy theory claims that the National Guard was tricked into shooting, or was
ordered to shoot, by the FBI, as a part of its secret COINTELPRO program against the student
anti-war movement. The massacre became a focal point for the anti-war movement in the
following years and continues to attract opponents of government mischief today.
I believe instead that the Kent State Massacre was a hoax run by Intelligence. In this paper, I
will attempt to explain how I reached this conclusion.

They were all.military brats of the intelligence assets producing propaganda films at Lookout Mountain Airbase.
You know, the top secret government ran movie studio which produced more movies than the entire catalog of Hollywood .
All the top stars from the advent of music recording, film production and television have been used as tools to drive the ever changing narratives.

Rule 1: Avoid all crowds. Rule 2: Never forget Rule 1.

Oh, and any ace of normies cons believe that the US Military (the includes deh po-po) is on “our” side, should re-evaluate that hypothesis. They will follow orders, even “unlawful” orders.

I was living in Cleveland at the time of this incident … and some interesting facts always get left out of accounts surrounding this event.

In the 7-10 days prior to the shooting, the Ohio National Guard was stationed throughout Ohio in response to a strike by the Teamsters Union and all of the destruction and shooting taking place by the Teamsters against scabs and any entity continuing business without those union drivers.

But there was an interesting twist, even with all of the problems the Teamsters were causing: the Governor had ordered them to NOT load their weapons against the Teamsters — presumably, Governor Rhodes didn’t want to alienate his voting block.

But, then, when the Guard was dispatched to the KSU campus, the Guard were ordered to load their weapons … which they did … and used them against the students with the results that followed.

I recall watching the news that night in Cleveland … the legendary local newscaster, Dorothy Fuldheim, was livid about the shootings of unarmed students, especially in light of the events of the preceding week with the Guard/Teamsters. This was only the 2d time I remember seeing her in tears … the other time was on November 22, 1963 …

Within hours, the image of one of the students — Mary Ann Vecchio — flashed across and around the world …

Gulf of Tonkin attack was real.
Covid is real.
Kent state shooting was real.
The Lusitania was not carrying munitions.

Ms. Vecchio wasn’t a Kent State student. She was a 16 year old runaway who was on campus during the demonstrations.

Furthermore as Blackdog points out, those commies getting actually penalized for FIRING ON THE GUARD turned the violent communists all across the nation into much more peaceful communists.

Of course, the 3 days of continuous rioting, arson and violence prior to this are not discussed, and neither is the fact that the day before on May 3rd, a similar group of Guardsman had been injured and sent to the hospital by ‘protestors’ when they attempted to disengage from a crowd by using their bayonets. Lefties ALWAYS provoke violence then wave a bloody shirt afterward when they find out.
