An American Nobody Stares Into Mordor

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

All throughout history stories have been told by those whose insights and experiences had inspired said stories. The bestselling book in the world, the Bible, for example, is full of stories and parables that have influenced generations. Accordingly, bloggers like me and others will often reference such narratives to utilize widely-known and commonly understood history, facts, and details to make our points.  Furthermore, these universal associations can be used as launching pads, so to speak, to expand upon other ideas and perspectives.

In my early teens, I devoured the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien and his “Lords of the Rings” series beginning with “The Hobbit” and followed by “The Fellowship of the Ring”, “The Two Towers”, and “The Return of the King”, respectively. I also read “The Silmarillion” which was a precursor to the other books and originating thousands of years before the fictional events of “The Hobbit”.

Over two decades ago, the “Fellowship of the Ring” movies were released in theaters. The original three films (“The Fellowship of the Ring”, “The Two Towers”, and “The Return of the King”) were directed by Peter Jackson and are widely considered as cinematic masterpieces today.

Slovakia faces ‘civil war’

The attempt to kill Prime Minister Robert Fico stems from a combustible political environment in the country, a top official has said

Slovakia appears to be on the brink of a civil war, its interior minister has warned, following the attempted assassination of Prime Minister Robert Fico on Wednesday.

The head of the Slovak government was shot in the eastern town of Handlova, where he had chaired a working meeting. The gunman, identified by the media as an opposition party supporter in his early 70s, acted on political motives, according to Deputy Prime Minister Robert Kalinak.

Russia to Test Missile off the Coast of California

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Putin keeps trying to warn the American Neocons that they are playing with World War III, which will be nuclear. They issued a Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) that they will be firing missiles in a test just off the coast of northern California coast, thereby alerting pilots of Russian missile launches to LAND / IMPACT in the Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center ((ARTCC). This will begin tomorrow and continue for 10 days. This is 300 miles offshore in international waters.

Revelations – Are We In The End Days? 1,000-Year Cycle

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

End Of World Aethelred2 1000AD English Silver PennyVarious cultures and religions have been concerned about the end of time looming throughout history. Aethelred II (978-1016 AD) was so convinced the world was about to end in 1000 AD that he removed his portrait from the coinage and placed the Christian symbol of the lamb on it. The world did not end, and he restored his portrait the year after. Why is there this need to constantly scream the end is near, which seems to plague Western society?

Turn the economy down, and you will find major upheavals in religion. To whatever extent our model may align with religion or even astrology, rest assured that neither are inputs into Socrates to make forecasts. So, I have found these prophecies of various religions interesting.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Prepares to Steal the Election

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Ballot boxes allow the party that controls the voting precinct to print ballots, vote them and drop them in the box. In the crucial swing states, the Democrats control the largest cities. Therefore, they control the election.

We saw this in 2020 when vote counting stopped while stuffed boxes were delivered and when counting resumed the Democrats were suddenly up 100,000 votes.

The West Has an Illiterate Financial Press

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The entire the financial press has zero understanding of basic economics. The financial “journalists” just print press releases.

The US debt has never mattered, because the US dollar is the world reserve currency. That means US debt is the reserves of the world’s central banks. If US debt rises, so does the reserves of the world banking system. All central banks were delighted to accumulate more US Treasury debt as it meant the reserves of their banking system went up.

Whistling Past The National Train Wreck

Authored by Donald Jeffries via I Protest,

There are only so many ways one can say that America is collapsing. That the Fat Lady is nearing the end of her song. That we’re running on fumes. If Yogi Berra were around, he’d say it’s over. We had a good run, as far as civilizations go. We were the light of the world for a long time. Maybe even Reagan’s shining city upon a hill.

Yesterday, Jason Whitlock reported on one Dexter Taylor, a software engineer who was just convicted and sentenced to ten years for constructing his own guns without a license. Shades of January 6. Taylor is Black, by the way, for those of you to whom that matters. I don’t expect to see former crack dealer turned FBI informant “Reverend” Al Sharpton leading a protest about this particular Black man being a victim of injustice. Our record-setting prisons are overflowing with people like Taylor, of all races. People who most decidedly don’t belong behind bars. Having watched enough of those Investigation Discovery shows, and cops gone wild videos, I often wonder just how many actual criminals are in prison. The system devotes so much effort to framing innocent people, that they may no longer be capable of convicting truly guilty ones.

Will High Inflation Ease Up Soon? You Won’t Like the Answer

From Peter Reagan for Birch Gold Group

If you were hoping that the official inflation rate would ease, especially on the necessary goods and services you need to buy, then you might have to be patient.

Even Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell thinks so, while highlighting the crucial fact that rates won’t be coming down anytime soon, either:

Fed Chair Jerome Powell said Tuesday his confidence that inflation will keep cooling is not as high as it was at the start of the year, and that the central bank will need to be patient before lowering interest rates.

“We did not expect this to be a smooth road, but these [inflation readings] were higher than I think anybody expected,” Powell said during a panel in Amsterdam. “What that has told us is that we’ll need to be patient and let restrictive policy do its work.”

Doug Casey on the Relentless Rise of Taxes, Regulations, and Inflation

Via International Man

International Man: Almost every government worldwide is moving to increase taxes and regulations on its citizens while at the same time engaging in ever-increasing currency debasement.

What do you think of this trend, and where is it going?

Doug Casey: Higher taxes, more money printing, and more regulations are long-standing trends. The cat first got out of the bag with the French Revolution and the triumph of the Jacobins, who wanted to collectivize French society. They almost succeeded. Not many years later, Karl Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto and Das Capital, letting another feral meme loose into society. The idea that the State was a good thing and should grow is now everywhere.

Stormy Daniels: the Rosa Parks of Porn Stars

Guest Post by Ann Coulter

I notice a tiny, almost infinitesimal, difference in the treatment of women who accuse Republican presidents of sexual misconduct compared to women who accuse Democrats.

See if you can spot the difference.

Stormy Daniels is the stripper and porn star who tried to extort Donald Trump when he was running for president in 2016, threatening to tell the tabloids they’d had sex, a claim he denies. Whether Trump’s description of his extortion payment to Daniels as a “legal expense” constituted a criminal violation of the federal campaign finance laws is a central element of New York’s prosecution of Trump.

‘Harrison Butker Does Not Reflect Our Values,’ Says League Of Woman Beaters

Via The Babylon Bee

NEW YORK, NY — In response to an angry outcry from feminists regarding statements he made in a commencement speech, the NFL issued a statement that Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker does not represent the values of the rest of the league of woman beaters.

The Chiefs kicker, a devout Catholic, expressed several controversial opinions during his speech, including strong support for traditional family values, none of which fall in line with the NFL’s standard behavioral code upheld by teams filled with woman beaters, child abusers, drunk drivers, and drug traffickers.

Unrepentant Man

Guest Post by Eric Peters

If someone errs in a way that causes immense damage and does not admit he erred – much less apologize for the harms his erring caused – what basis is there for believing he understands he erred, regrets it – and would not commit the same error again?

That’s putting it nicely, of course.
