QUOTE OF THE DAY

“The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.”

Those are some archaic definitions. The current definitions are:

1) Nationalist: A boorish lout who cares primarily about his own country and its people.

2) Patriot: Someone who believes what the oligarchy tells him: that he should accede to the betterment of people from other countries at the expense of his own country, preferring open borders, faux “free” trade, supranational government, military interventions in pursuit of nation-building and generally playing policeman too the world.
