“The beginning of Summer vacation.
A Walkman & wine at the lake.
A face-full of certifiably the purest LSD ever in Central PA.
And this album.”
This is not my story, but it is very close. This beautiful solo symphony created by a nerdy kid from Upper Darby, from an America long ago and far away.
That was a great album.
I don’t think there were any Walkmans around in ’75 though.
I still have my yellow sports Walkman in my barn. I think they came out around 1980. One of my favorites from1975:

I don’t know why my video didn’t post correctly, you will have to open it up. Wish You Were Here.
Bob.
Sophomore year of college in San Francisco.
Summer break in Sitka, Alaska.
Far, far from home.
Rundgren’s album epitomized that year.
A year in which a single decision would alter the course of my life.
For the rest of my life.
Thank god for 1975.
This song came out in 1977. Close enough?
Grand Funk – Some Kind of Wonderful – 1975
The Sweet – Ballroom Blitz – 1975

Fat, useless bitch from Tucson. It’s pretty hard to get thrown out of Las Vegas for a liberal rant onstage, but brain dead Linda pulled it off. Her family is as corrupt as she is stupid.
Admin is well on the way for setting another strikeout record on song selections for the 2014 season.

For one bad song? Sweet and Grand Funk more than make up for the Ronstadt faux pas.

I bet none of you fucks even listened to the entirety of this brilliant piece, especially so considering how technically advanced it was for it’s time. I believe at creation it was the longest piece ever put on one side of an LP and has over 30 tracks.
El Coyote earns special wrath for posting embryonic disco shit, but frankly all the other tunes posted on this thread are garbage as well with the exception, for what it’s worth that yeah, Linda Ronstadt was hot in ’75…not that it did me any good.
but, but I thought the theme was 1975 tunes. I was not at your acid trip so I have no idea what other theme to follow.
