during the 1st Finland war and the continuation war, the Russians attacked an area covered of forrest, swamps and lakes that made the armor and artillery useless. beside this, they were mostly defeated during winter when the Finnish forces could use their troops on ski and when the Russian vehicules were like sitting ducks. it was a guerrilla war with the Russians ambushed nearly everywhere. however, what the Finns did is exeptional
in Crimea and Ukraine it is another story. there is little to no hills, vast crops and basically nowhere to hide. It means that air superiority will be relevant and that Ukraine air forces will not last long without spares. I give them 3 months at best in case of open fight, they can only last longer if other countries are involved or they choose to turn their town into rumbles…
