Not a fan of this guy’s schtick, his “its all cool, you just bitch a lot” view point discounts how much of my actual productivity is co opted for stupid shit.
My gains are stolen from me. I use this wonderful advanced technology that is so amazing to its damn near fullest extent. Wikipedia, google, online forums, emails….I non stop cross train and apply that shit to the company, making them hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, if not millions.
In return I get to watch 40% of my paycheck disappear to various taxes, I get to watch a congress completely destroy our way of life, and a supreme court consistently vote to take away citizen’s rights.
Yeah, capitalism brought us some pretty awesome technology, but fucking iGadgets and toys aren’t worth having if it comes at the cost of personal freedom.

Yes, but they are more intelligent than you, me, us, so greed, corruption, rights removals, tracking your plates and web habits can all be overlooked. Intelligent people wrote the constitution then tore it up.

Being of the rotary phone/party line era, I had to lol. 😉
I remember going to the laundromat for a while as a child. Then my mom got a *wringer* washer. Woweeee!!! Early 60s. The dryer was a very long clothesline in the backyard.

It’s mostly true though. We appreciate nothing and have ceased to be amazed by anything.
