The so-called “poor” in this country really need to shut the fuck up… they don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about.

“Poor” is the guy I saw who had a house entirely made of doors that he fished out of the dump. Including the front door. His “running water” was a series of mismatched hunks of PVC pipe all duct taped together and then duct taped to a fire hydrant… the trickle of brown water that dumped out in front of his door-house was all the water he had.

But even THAT guy was better off than the folks I saw – an entire family – living in a hut constructed of palm fronds Gilligan’s Island style. Their running water was a creek that passed nearby. The dad made money by risking his life and going out to old gunnery ranges, collecting spent brass and other bits to turn in to the recycling plant.. The locals blowing themselves up on these old ranges was not unheard of.. the kids did not even know what chocolate was when I handed them some…

These spoiled fucks need to spend a few years in someone else’s shithole country learning what “poor” really is… every time I see these morbidly obese fat fucks at Walmart with their EBT cards, I just want to throw up… entitled, spoiled, self-absorbed narcissistic fat fucks that they are…

“I’ZE BEEZ A VIKTIM!!!! I’ZE BEEZ PO AN SHEEIT!”

The fuck you are…

EVERYONE feeds at the public trough
the poor “get over” the system by using food stamp to buy a pack of cigs
the rich “get over” the system by selling the government $10 hammers
at $500 a pop

Government steals money from Paul to give to Peter to buy votes.. At least that’s the way it feels . Been paying taxes from 18 to now (52).Not sure if all that money has really benefited anyone personally. Maybe bought some of those 500 hundred dollar hammers for the government.

What Billy said 1000%

hardscrabble farmer
hardscrabble farmer

When I am out doing chores, or in the pastures repairing fence lines, the animals will often come along. Sometimes a hundred layers will follow behind me like an entourage, or the barn cat tagging along through the tall grass close enough so that it can keep and eye on things. If I don’t see the cattle I will stop and low to them and they respond and within a few minutes drift over to where I am. The brood sows, the flock of sheep, the old ram and his gang of whethers- all of them follow me, look to me, and comply with my direction because they understand in some deep and fundamental way that they are dependent upon me to fulfill their needs.

I am the one they come to because I am the one who provides. It never occurs to them that I am also the one who takes away the eggs, slaughters the meat birds, composts the entrails of their offspring and grills their meat to feed my children.

Those whose lives are built upon their desires, their wants, their singular moments do not think about the consequences of their dependence. Their immediate wants and their dependence is the defining characteristic of their existence.

Socialism is the practice of farming human beings.

If it were any other way I would tell you so.

Amazing.

Comment by Billy is smash-mouth spot on, and comment by HSF is like poetry, but also spot on.

Hardscrabble, another wonderfully written post. Other than Animal Farm, I would not have associated a farmer’s relationship with his animals with political systems controlling people.

Being poor and living in poverty are way different, and Billy is spot on. Having a place to live that is somewhat up to code, toilet and bath, clean water, hot H2O, stove, refrig., electricity 24/7, food, access to washer/dryer, medical care, basic education. and public transportation. That is being POOR.

Poverty is when many or all of the basics are not available.

We’ll all get a chance to see the harvest of the FSA that HSF speaks of when TSHTF.

What billy said 1000%, but no practical solutions presented. It’s easy to be a bitch.

HSF one of the best comments ever. There is no solution to what is happening. We are in the 4T and it will play out and then we will do it again.

“The so-called “poor” in this country really need to shut the fuck up… they don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about.” ——— Billy

Amen, Billy. (Why haven’t you imparted your wisdom on the WWII thread? I guess you must disagree with it.)

Anyway, about TEN years ago, in the Sunday issue of the Newark Star Ledger, appeared an article, and the picture below. I clipped the picture. I had just moved back to NJ after my divorce. I was feeling a little sorry for myself for all the “stuff” I lost. Woe is me! Then I saw this. I wept. Really. I thought, “what the fuck is wrong with me? Why am I such an ungrateful bastard?”. That picture is STILL to this day on my bulletin board over my desk, as a reminder … of how “blessed” I truly am.

“The mud cookies — made of dried yellow dirt from the country’s central plateau — has long been prized by pregnant women and children here as an antacid and source of calcium. But in places like Cite Soleil, the oceanside slum where Charlene shares a two-room house with her baby, five siblings and two unemployed parents, cookies made of dirt, salt and vegetable shortening have become a regular meal.”

Too bad you couldn’t find a picture of Jesus crucified, which would make anyone weep.

I don’t buy the argument, someone else has it worse than me, when Jesus Christ suffered more than anyone who has ever lived, or who ever will. The devil couldn’t kill him, it wasn’t possible. He gave up his life on the cross. So, regardless of a person’s position or circumstances, Jesus Christ made it possible for anyone to be born again and have everlasting life.

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

(Romans 8:18 ESV)

Oh, yeah, why? Because neither of them has any solutions, pitching bitch fits never solved anything. Except maybe Stucky, at least he’s given it some thought. I don’t know what the fuck Billy does with his time.
