I am not aware of the entire Ebola story, but because of my former medical practice that employed complementary and holistic treatment alternatives, I am aware that the disease is not invincible. With the lack of credibility from the government, media, and big pharma, it is difficult to assess the contagion level of this virus. However, the infectious nature of the virus is evident; 70% of those that contract the virus die. Unlike HIV, a lifestyle disease which can be easily avoided, Ebola may present a more lethal threat if the mutation of the virus proceeds. The difference between the cartoon above and Ebola is obesity, tobacco use, and alcohol consumption (like HIV) are willful acts. Ebola is not the by- product of willful behavior. If the transmission of the disease mutates to a more contagious virus, the above cartoon will be found less humorous.

Left-wing rags like the Guardian have been going with the theory that Ebola’s no big deal – compared to (being hit by a bus, slipping on a banana peel, etc.) since August, which is to say since 3,000 or more deaths ago. That’s because they’re more worried about stigmatizing African people than determining how worrisome Ebola should be. At the outset of the 1918 Spanish Flu, someone could have said “more people have died from falling down wells than from this flu”. It’s only true until it’s not. The question is how easily and how widely it can and will spread. We should know within a few weeks. That fact that the most recent outbreak started 7-9 months ago and hasn’t gone worldwide yet gives reason for optimism.

PS Worldwide deaths so far have topped 4,000 according to WHO, but that news came out today http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/10/health/ebola-crisis/index.html and that cartoon came out way back in…yesterday. Others have speculated that the true death toll is already many thousands higher.

From what I’ve read of conditions in W Africa, the first thing we should be doing is air-dropping about five million gallon bottles of bleach to the residents of the area.

Public Health Emergency Declared In Connecticut Over Ebola – Civil Rights Suspended Indefinitely

We warned a week ago of the various possibilities surrounding an Ebola outbreak in America, and today we get some degree of confirmation of a medical-based martial-law coming to the US. Governor Dan Malloy has declared a Public Health Emergency in Connecticut, authorizing the “isolation of any individual reasonably believed to have been exposed to the Ebola virus.” Simply put, as we noted previously, the State of Public Health Emergency allows bureaucrats to detain and force-vaccinate people without due process – despite not one single case being found in CT. If there is a major Ebola pandemic in America, all of the liberties and the freedoms that you currently enjoy would be gone.

If there is a major Ebola pandemic in America, all of the liberties and the freedoms that you currently enjoy would be gone. If government officials believe that you have the virus, federal law allows them to round you up and detain you “for such time and in such manner as may be reasonably necessary.” In addition, the CDC already has the authority to quarantine healthy Americans if they reasonably believe that they may become sick. During an outbreak, the government can force you to remain isolated in your own home, or the government may forcibly take you to a treatment facility, a tent city, a sports stadium, an old military base or a camp. You would not have any choice in the matter. And you would be forced to endure any medical procedure mandated by the government. That includes shots, vaccines and the drawing of blood. During such a scenario, you can scream about your “rights” all that you want, but it won’t do any good.

Welcome to the new normal American police state.

We can learn something from our friends on the Dark Continent about keeping the virulent pathogen known as Ebola at bay. Something as simple as a salt bath.

Personally I don’t think we should find a cure for Ebola and most other diseases. These kinds of things exist in nature to keep things in balance. The entire history of modern humans has been about living beyond our means and nature has a pretty good record of restoring balance. We humans, despite claiming to work toward and maintain balance, have a miserable track record.

From the Zerohedge article MIA quoted:
” If government officials believe that you have the virus, federal law allows them to round you up and detain you “for such time and in such manner as may be reasonably necessary.” In addition, the CDC already has the authority to quarantine healthy Americans if they reasonably believe that they may become sick. I would not want to be forcibly quarantined anywhere but if a 70% fatal disease does become epidemic or pandemic, not enacting methods mentioned above would be almost criminal. I sure as shit don’t want to be getting sneezed on by your infected ass at the grocery store. I also do not want to be treated or tested against my will but it’s like arguing with a cop during an encounter, you need to pick your battles. You can sue for damages if you survive. If you die you won’t need to sue. We talk all the time about the shortcomings of our just in time delivery systems for food, fuel, medicine and every other modern convenience but what do you think might happen if all those people employed to operate that system end up sick or dead?

Be very aware that ALL the predictive models used in epidemiology indicate a SIGNIFICANT outcome. The disease is still expanding its range, and we are in the very early stages of establishment.

A global death rate of 20% may sound “not so bad”, but remember that’s 20% in addition to our usual mortality rate. If the true mortality rate starts to approach 70% (as it could, but not necessarily will), life “as we know it” in the comfortable West, would change for a very long time. Maybe forever.
