I once read the letters of Cicero…IIRC he said something to the effect that ‘…the kings are our secret friends…’

Kinda like today when the tutes on the hill embrace billionaires.

” The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

The irony of all ironies is that those that supported BO at higher percentages than any another group, the blacks will suffer the most. Already it should be clear that by opening the borders to encourage increased immigration from both Mexico and from Islamic countries, the competition for social services and low skill jobs will only shove the black community further into poverty.

@ASIG, +10000

Yep, Obama, Bush & Clinton(s) too, are just evidence of the underlying rot of the American spirit and our collective mindset.

Democracy can only survive until the majority figure out they can vote for their own benefits, or beneficial tyranny.

We are so there. All that is left is the collapse.

What’s the saying again, ‘revolutions eat their parents’…..the progressive libtards who championed this douchebag will be the first to go in the savior’s playbook. By hook or by crook, he’ll find a way to use them to illustrate to the masses that ‘this’ or ‘that’ cannot and will not be tolerated….or similar. Right out of Hitler’s playbook. Makes me think of that poem ‘I did no more than you let me do’.

ASIG well said.

Obama has done more for the Republican Party than Ronald Regan every did. People in the middle have been taught a lesson on Progressive liberal politics that won’t soon be forgotten.

@Sensetti, then why is support for Repukes continuing to tank?

In what way has Obama helped them? With their core that never wavers anyway?

I don’t get that, fewer people than ever are associating with your party, but to hear most Republicans talk, you would think you guys are signing up new followers at an ever increasing clip.

I’m not seeing it, but hey, what do I know, I no longer believe in the BS Red vs Blue team anyway.

ASIG: “Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Time and time again folks here berate the voters (fools according to ASIG). Consider placing some or most of the blame on the foolers rather than the fooled. Foolers being the MSM and Obama himself for promsing things that he never delivered (transparency of government, closing Gitmo, ending the wars–never mind the outright lies once he got into office).

The majority of the voting public are dumb-downed. All presidential elections are pomp and circumstance/bread and circus rituals that are meaningless. They exist to give the appearance that voting matters. The whole process is awash in corruption and fraud, not to mention the outrageous amounts of money involved.

The executive branch has ursurped the constitutional government system we had, breaking the balance of power. It must be reined in somehow, maybe ablolished. Would just a legislative and judicial branch alone work?

Perhaps the public should not be allowed to vote. Modify the Electorial College process and let it be decided by them. (just thinking out loud here…)

The reason that you got an Obama was because of 1.) the mess made by GW and 2.) the pathetic candidates put forth by the Republicans. Can you imagine wher we would be if McCain had become President? Can you say, “nuclear holocaust”?

Rise Up , it is easy for a con artist to rip off a person who is dishonest and thinks he can get something for nothing. The con is still a thief and both deserve what they get.

Compared to neocon assholes Obama seems downright reasonable. At least he won’t start world war 3.
Nevertheless I stand by the recommendation of JWR to maintain a minimum distance of two gas tanks from large concentration of Obama voters at all times.

I’ll admit I voted for Obama the first time, hell what choice did I have? Sarah Palin? Can’t you imagine her as President? C’mon the military would have staged a coup! McStain? OMG! We would have entered WWIII day after he was inaugurated and the Earth would be a cinder now. I guess that “global warming” wouldn’t be a problem anymore. In any event, Obama lied to us about everything. He’s a traitor to his country.
What we need is a genuine 2 party system, instead of the illuminati choosing the candidates, OR we need about 7 real, functioning parties. Until that occurs our system is captured by whomever has the most $, pure and simple. And the guys controlling the action are people you’ve never heard of.

“what choice did I have? Sarah Palin? ” But during Christmas vacation which one would you rather see on the beaches of Hawaii in a bikini? Palin or Moooshell?
