Except for the Chicken Little’s on this site who are so scared of GMO’s that they can see their bodies sterilized and their shadows melting if they walk by a GMO cornfield. They join the Warmers as the biggest bunch of candy asses on the planet.

“Except for the Chicken Little’s on this site who are so scared of GMO’s ….” —— SSS

OK, smart guy, I won’t be a Chicken Little if you can find me just ONE long term study … say 25 years … showing that for example, GMO corn, has NO effent on human health.

Oh, wait … there aren’t any!!!

Maybe you are correct that GMO foods are A-OK. Then again, maybe not. The salient point is … who the fuck knows?? SMART people err on the side of caution and take a wait-and-see attitude. Smart people do not believe Monsanto and ilk …. didn’t they say Agent Orange wasn’t harmful to humans?

Then again, no one ever said you were the sharpest tool in the shed.

@ Stucky:
Yep, Monsanto is beyond evil. Farmers have to buy the GMO corn, those that don’t and have said GMO corn by virtue of seed drift in their fields will be sued by Monsanto even though they didn’t plant the seeds. GMO is created to guarantee seed sales to Monsanto, once you start with their seeds you can never quit.

Then you have round up, glyphosates are now linked to destruction of the gut microbiome. glyphosates is sprayed on grain to dry the crops artificially for harvest. It isn’t the gluten that’s the culprit with gut diseases, it’s the glyphosates. Also, the glyphosate is registered as…an antibiotic. Now, what do antibiotics do to your gut? They destroy the beneficial bacteria.

Grain is fed to livestock to fatten them up, ditto with giving them antibiotcs, so double whammy there. You are what you eat. Suffer from gut diseases? Look no further than glyphosates.

‘But seriously Doc, I’m not eating an antibiotic. Wanna bet? Since Monsanto cleverly (or perhaps diabolically) registered glyphosate as an antibiotic a few years back, its reach has expanded far beyond the lawn – and straight into your gut via the food you eat. Unbeknownst to most of us, it’s being liberally sprayed on countless food crops (not only genetically-engineered ones) which means that we’re eating multiple daily doses of an unwanted, unprescribed antibiotic, courtesy of Monsanto (one of the folks who also brought you Agent Orange).’

Llpoh, SSS:

When given a choice (oh yea, the U.S. especially is trying to make that choice harder, why?), how does it make sense to eat a plant that has pesticide built in or has even more Glycophosate dumped on it because its built in resistance to pesticide and the improving resistance of the pests encourages farmers to use even more?

No such study exists to my knowledge, twinkle toes. And if one did, the GMO critics, such as you, would keep moving the goal posts. “Find me a 50-year study that says GMO crops are safe.” Your fucking logic and counterpoints are boring. Yawn.

@ Didius: eat what the fuck you want, cupcake. Leave the fucking global food chain out of your suicidal Malthusian equation.

No I would not, dickface. ALL I would like is SOME data (25 years sounds reasonable enough) on what effect, if any, these franken-foods have on the human body.

Since you know there are none, and since you prefer to live with your head up your ass, you don’t give a fuck. So, ALL you got is some smart-ass conjecture on what I might, or might not do. You’re retarded.

Then again … why should be concerned about GMO? You’re old as fuck and you’ll be dead before any 25 year study is available, so go ahead and eat your fukshit food.

Stucky – in your last post, you almost had me at “dickface”. “head up your ass” was a nice touch, too.

But then you lost points for playing the age card (you shoulda been born black – you woulda been an ace with the race card). You are no spring chicken yourself.

All in all, I give that last effort a C.

Hey SSS,

Yeah, the global food chain miracle is working wonders with the current nutrient value of large scale industrial quality. You are right, sweetie pie, I’ll enjoy what I eat. Meanwhile, I trust you are eating where you are speaking and enjoying all those healthy industrial crops.

Cheers big man.

“… large scale industrial quality. ” should be ” large scale industrial farming.” Quality fits though as in really understanding the quality of what you are eating.

Do a test. Get 1 ear of open pollinated corn, 1 ear of conventional hybrid corn, 1 ear of roundup ready corn, and 1 ear of genetically stacked corn. Place them outside and see which ones the wild birds will eat first. That will answer some of your questions.

SSS,

All that GMO abundance does not seem to be doing all the starving or malnourished people in all the same places much good. With all this abundance, seems like there would be enough food for them. If you might posit that yeah, but they would all but dead if not for the GMOs. Not sure I would agree at all, as large scale industrial Ag without GMO was the rule a short 20 to 25 years ago.

Cheers.

Buddabull,

Good point. I have read that the birds will not eat the GMO, some not even eating it even if they are starving. Need to look that up to refresh my memory.

SSS – Of course most people are eating it and look at the massive increase in various ailments since these have been around. Are you sure the intent of the GMOs to to keep people alive and healthy? 🙂
